Austin's North Port Restaurant

We love Austin’s! We come here almost every week for brunch on Saturdays or Sundays. We love sitting at the bar with Sandy and Bart, they make an incredible bloody mary and are always in good spirits. We have never been disappointed with the service and food!

My husband and I stopped in this morning and enjoyed the hearty breakfast and an omelette. The toast was amazing, tasted so fresh and home made. The ham appeared to be cut by hand from ham steak and not just the processed chunks from the grocery store. We were very impressed and will be coming back! Shout out to our server Jeremy who was friendly and timely. 👍

This was our first time here, and we absolutely Loved it! The food was VERY good, and the restaurant altogether was Very nice! We have 3 kiddos, and they enjoyed their food, immensely! For a super picky 10yr old, that says a lot! 😊
I highly recommend! We went after 11am, so everyone had a mix of breakfast and lunch. They have a good assortment of things on the menu, and even a few surprises 😉😊
My eldest is 12 and ordered the Hearty Breakfast, and my goodness was it ever! My son is a preteen bottomless pit and he ate ALL of it, and loved it. My husband and I had the Reubens, with onion rings, and that was absolutely fantastic! Check out the days they have Live Entertainment! Its a Local Establishment, and needs our local support. 🥰

Both club sandwich and burger were delicious, ordered the last hour of lunch. Hot and fresh

We started with Bruschetta & limencello Strawberry mixed drinks that were better than any other we’ve had in town. We were given fresh dinner rolls with our salads while the main course was prepared.. I had crusted chicken with penne and my man had salmon w/sweet potato- both were cooked to perfection. Eventhough I was full, we shared caramel cheesecake & an amaretto dessert that had just enough sweetness. The live pianist was a pleasure to listen to as well. We will be back!

We were visiting from Wisconsin and went and sat in the bar and watched the Packer game and had an excellent experience. Sandy was our waitress and she was fabulous and the food we had was great. We had quesadilla and a burger that was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Under new management. Food is really good. Especially the pot roast. The husband love it. I had the quiche last andnit was as good as my grandmother made. We always sit at the bar

Food and service was excellent. The piano music really enhanced our enjoyment. The portions were generous. Everyone even the owner made us feel welcome. We will be back.

Sat outside enjoyed a beautiful Florida day. Food was great! Huge portions. Had the onion rings which were beer battered fresh crunchy and delicious; with a yummy homemade dipping sauce. The burger was outstanding, great flavor cooked perfectly, Philly Cheese Steak delicious and HUGE! Service was excellent, server was very pleasant attentive and informative. Can’t wait to try breakfast!

This is one of the best restaurants for excellent food and service! We've been here twice and all of the meals have been delicious. They also have a good selection of cocktails and beer. We will definitely eat here again.

I love this place. Love the old decor and the food is great. The bourbon burger is Soo good. Ashli in the bar area is great. And if you get dessert, try the carrot cake! Yumm

This was our first visit to Austin's; it was perfect. Wine selection was good and fairly priced. Side salads were fresh, crisp; house made ranch dressing was a perfect balance. We enjoyed the crab stuffed mushrooms. I had the 2 crabcake dinner. Yes, real, fresh crab without a lot of bread crumbs. Just enough to hold it together. Lightly browned. Remoulade on the side would have made them even better. Plenty of fresh lemon worked fine. My husband had the grilled seafood platter. It was a nice mix and cooked perfectly as well. There are enough sides to choose from; what we chose was great. Light live piano music was very pleasant. Service was impeccable. The menu had a nice range of offerings. Many are not usual; but a very welcome surprise. We'll definitely be back for another great experience.

New management, same menu. Really good and prices were good. Cocktails and beer were expensive. They're remodeling right now, so it might look better soon.

Update:
New, SIMPLER menu is much more sensible to deal with. Beverages are more reasonably priced. Here for karaoke, but noticed many, many new TV's. Expect sports to be on.

Awesome food our server Jeremy was exceptional. The service was right on time when there was plates or drinks needed. Best time ever! We will be back often!

Food is excellent! Especially for North Port Florida. Rebecca is a excellent server and very friendly. I have lived here since 1988 and have never had such a great meal in North Port. We usually have to go Venice, Sarasota/ Bradenton or Punta Gorda. We will definitely be back and wish them all the success they deserve

Yummy food, great/fast service, family friendly and so cute!! Definitely a good spot for out of towners to check out! Something on the menu for everyone! And kids meals that are only $5, win! Would totally eat here again!

Food was delicious and service was great. Attended a seminar and since room was not enclosed, it got a bit noisy from customers in main room. Reccomend Austin's Old World Restaurant highly.

Best Restaurant I've Been to in A Long Time ! I Had a Delicious Clam Chowder, my Wife had the Salad. ( Great Chowda ), For our Dinners; Mine was a Perfect Beer-Batter Tempura type crunchy Batter with FRESH Cod and Real Fries ! My Wife Ordered the Coconut Shrimp which appeared to look and taste Hand Made ( Not Frozen ), and a Wonderful Home made Dipping Sauce. ALL of It came out PERFECTLY ! And our Server, Ashli; Was a Mind Reader ! Also from RI like myself, She Was a Delight with Great Conversation and Personality ! The Entire Crew seemed to Run Very Efficient and Work Together Very Well !

The ambience was very nice, beautiful murals and live music that wasn't too loud. The menu was well written with entertaining descriptions. For my birthday, they sang happy birthday and brought out a delicious cake.

What a great place. New management and a new menu and we were very impressed. We always sit on the patio (alone) no idea why more people don’t enjoy this lovely space. The food was delicious. Excellent quesadilla with lots of chicken and really yummy Swedish meatballs. Staff are attentive and very pleasant! Highly recommend!!

OK AFTER writing my review I went and read the “reviews” of others - I have never ever seen any owner go to the trouble this owner goes to to respond to reviews. Bravo. You are right - insults and slurs have no place in a review. If you have a problem, in a restaurant, ask to speak to the manager. Only then (and really not even) can you leave a negative review. And then temper that review with this - you are talking about people - people! People with families and children and lives and they work hard taking care of you when you’re enjoying your leisure time - be respectful; be honest; and show some respect!
OK that’s my rant for the day! Just had to say it! Thank you Austin’s. we’re heading home to Canada for the summer but we’ll be back and we’ll definitely be back to Austin’s - we wish you well!!
