If you appreciate art, people watching & and nature, this is a magnificent place to experience. There is always a handful of creative artists near the fountain.
One of my favorite artists is Pearl.
She does magnificent wire wrapping.
Pearl keeps a good selection of pieces. Always different, unique, and one of a kind. I have included pictures of her work. If you are ever in Savannah, it would be well worth the trip to stop by and see her. I met another artists Derek Lawson. I fell in love with his artwork & purchased a piece to bring home. Benjamin makes flowers, crosses & other designs out of palm fronds. There were plenty of other artists & vendors. Each time I visit, I try to meet new artists and share their work.
There is history here, a place to eat,
a stunning fountain & two playgrounds for the kids.
There is literally Something for everyone!

Beautiful fountain. Went around Saint Patrick's Day and they coloured the water green which popped.
Forsyth Park itself is a definite most to visit if you find yourself in Savannah.

I found the Forsyth fountain when researching things to do on Trip Advisor. After I got there, I loved all of the details that went into the architecture. In addition, you’ll see Spanish moss trees close to the fountain. If you’re decent with taking photos, you can snap some very beautiful pictures. The park itself is huge. You’ll find many activities held here like a farmer’s market, weddings, engagement photos, etc. A must see if you decide to visit.

I would imagine this is a popular spot for photos, the aged Spanish Moss and beautiful white fountain make for a very calming experience.

Despite being there on a weekend, it wasn't crowded at all. The smells from the nearby cafe are very enticing, so definitely check them out while you walk through the park.

The fountain was stunning, intricate so many small details and elegant designs. Bigger than I expected.
It’s a very popular place for everyone to hang out in I recommend seeing it in the day but also at night. There’s less people and you can appreciate the fountain more closely without the commotion.

Today we strolled through Forsyth Park and it was so beautiful! The Artist there is extremely talented so I thought I would post her lovely painting. I will post her Card too so everyone can buy something extraordinary from her! It's exciting to truly meet a super special artist.

It was nice exploring Savannah. Walking throughout the city’s downtown, City Market, and River Walk was such an adventure. I didn’t know I was going to walk the entire area without the trolley. I went from one place to another and realized my feet were aching until I stopped to sit at my last stop. By then, I was ready to call it a day.

Even this time of year (Dec), trees still green and flowers in bloom. An absolutely beautiful park. If you are ever in Savannah, you I u must go!

This is our favorite place in Savannah. It was really crowded today with all kinds of fun things going on. There was a farmer’s market, people playing all kinds of activities and a wedding. Such a nice place to sit and relax. The only negative is there is a lot of homeless people hanging around this park sitting on benches and such. But everyone was super respectful and always enjoy stopping here.

This park is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, when we went it was misting and chilly.... however, it is a must see!

What a serene and well taken care of place to relax. A Beautiful fountain surrounded by a lovely landscape and plenty of open spaces. There's a sit down cafe within that also has a quick pick up window. Delicious food ! There are clean bathrooms and an amphitheatre for events as well as a great little park for kids to play. There are actually two park grounds side by side for smaller and big children. Definitely a must stop on your tour thru the city.

Located in Forsythe Park, where other monument and statues are located. The fountain of course is a beautiful fountain. I always find it interesting how people in can sometimes be friendly and say hello and others refuse to acknowledge that you are walking by them and turn their head away. There was in this park a confederate monument to heroes who lost the war. In all fairness some of these confederate generals were part of the union until their defection and should be treated like traitors.
So In my opinion there should be placed at the confederate monument, statues and bust of Union Generals E. Grant and Chamberlain Sherman.

It is hard to believe that this lovely fountain was actually ordered from a catalog. The incredibly detailed fountain is definitely a focal point and main attraction in Forsyth Park.

Absolutely GORGEOUS for wedding photos! We went in the morning so that the park wouldn’t be as busy and it worked out perfectly. I also wasn’t sure how safe we would feel, since we weren’t from the area, but honestly it felt very lively and fresh and we even befriended a very brave squirrel while there. Lol!

The third time here. It's a very cool historical place to visit. Always discover something new about Savanah and the park. I took the picture the weekend of Christmas. Parts of the movie from Forest Gump was filmed here.

Did a little walking tour since I was with a fan of the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. She thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great place to picnic or play sports, sun bath. If you wanna stay fit or just out to enjoy the day. I like to smoke a joint walking the track and conclude my visit with some good old-fashioned people watching at the fountain. Hope you come by the park, maybe we can match one

A must visit, I do every time I'm in Savannah. This is a large Park to relax, have a picnic, play with your kids and dogs. It's so beautiful and I love sitting by this beautiful fountain. Make sure to add it to your "To Do List".
