Get it, you won't be disappointed. The pizza Blanco puts other Alfredo pizzas to shame!!!

I Always love Happy Italian! They have the BEST PEPPORONI PIZZA! Home of the original meatspace pizza which I need to try soon!
They Always have the best daily lunch and dinner specials, the best soups , and the best desserts. You can't go wrong here. Something for everyone! Pizza, poboys, delicious pastas, calzones, fresh fish, great salads, lasagna and a FULL BAR. Whaaa

Mere words can not describe this place! I normally take a picture of my dish, unfortunately, I forgot to this time and before I know my Lasagna Pie (Pizza) was gone. I was able to snag a photo of my wife's dishes and the bread. I had the most amazing Pizza, which is now my favorite, I could literally taste the individual ingredients that made up the pizza, and yet they all melted together in mouth. Have you ever took a bite of something and the first word that comes to your mind is WOW, now that is fresh. The pizza crust was crispy, soft on the inside. The sauce was sooo full of flavor. There was traditional mozzarella, and of course fresh ricotta. Later I found out that the veggies are cut when my pizza is ordered. I was able to talk to the staff, and they made me feel like family. As our food came out, it looked like a cup of java animations with the steam rising. My wife's lasagna was so rich with flavor that stuck to ya ribs. My kids has pepperoni and cheese pizza. My daughter said, Dad this is the best pizza I have ever eaten. Then, wait for it.... I had the canoli. Mamma Mia, was I in for treat. I had just eaten a cannoli at another well know venue few hours earlier and thought it was the best! Happy Italian's was a tad bid creamier. Now it feels like I am cursed. Now ever time I eat a pizza, I will be comparing it to Happy Italian. All I can say is the Happy Italian, made this lil cajalian happy! I will be finding an excuse to get back to Harahan!

My husband and I visited the Happy Italian Pizzeria, and both had delicious, fresh, well prepared meals. The food was excellent and the owner and staff so warm and welcoming. I started with a cup of the Italian Wedding Soup. Since I grew up working at an Italian restaurant in NJ, I love wedding soup. This one had a Southern kick yet maintained the oh so good meatballs, vegetables and broth. My entrée was sautéed shrimp on a creamy bed of spaghetti squash. There were so many shrimp and they were all crisp and fresh!
My husband ordered a small meat sauce pizza along with a side of meatballs and a side of eggplant parm. Again, everything was delicious and fresh! The meatballs were made of a combination of turkey and pork and the eggplant was not fried! Meat sauce on a pizza was a new twist for me and it too, was a winner! The crust on the pizza was able to hold up to the meat sauce yet not be soggy or thick.
We have been to the Happy Italian Pizzeria before and it was just as good then. We’ll be back!

Our party of 3 dined here for the first time last week, and we are glad to report we will be returning. We had the pleasure of being served by Renee and ordered the chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, and lasagna, which were all very flavorful and well portioned for the price! I didn't notice until after I ordered that the eggplant parmesan is gluten free, and therefore they do not bread the eggplant. I would have rathered the breading but I can honestly say I did not miss it! Three dinner entrees and a glass of house wine came to about $60, which is a good deal.

Food was excellent. Got the pizza roll, Italian salad, and lasagna pizza. I am a huge pizza lover and this was the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. Will be back.

Delicious food with great staff. My favorite is the wedding soup available only Friday and Saturday. My second favorite is the lasagna pizza with pepperoni!

Happy Italian was phenomenal. Chef Lenny and Sandra give amazing personal service and the food was awesome. The pizzas are great but don’t miss the entrees which are way more sophisticated and refined than you’d expect from a neighborhood pizzeria. Stuffed as we were we had desserts (all homemade) including the pistachio cheesecake with wildflower honey and the Girl Scout cookie pie made from thin mints and lemon cookies. They were fantastic. Don’t miss this place.

I love Happy Italian! I wanted to go there for my birthday, and I did! (with family) I enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan and the bowl of vegetables! I love the food and the service is always great too! Terri was our waitress and she was so nice and attentive! The experience at Happy Italian is always wonderful!!!

My family loves this place so much. Terri is always a super hostess. I've never had anything that wasn't delicious.
We've dined in and had the entire staff thank us for coming. We've waited outside in the cold just to eat here (it's a small, popular place) and had amazing service once seate. We've also ordered take out several times and every time the food is amazing!
My favorite is the mussels. They aren't always available but when they are I always get them. So freaking good!
My daughter loves the pizza rolls and my son is obsessed with the macaroni and cheese. You seriously can't go wrong with any order!

A gem that is not getting enough attention. The pizza is absolutely delicious but their carrot cake is even better.

Happy Italian is always scrumptious. I cannot complain about any one thing about this restaurant. The chef/owner is always on point and the wait staff is friendly and fast. Everything is homemade and fresh at all times. Also, they do make and bake where they prepare the dish and you can take it home to put it in the oven like you cooked it ... 😉

I always get the Christopher Columbus, it is amazing. Today when I went to get one they have lemon Icebox pie. So I had my dessert first. It was AMAZING! If you go try the pie. The pizza has perfectly crispy crust. Great flavor.
