Great coffee spot! Unique shop in an old house, with great character and finds inside. Superb coffee selection with rotating hot brews and an extensive latte/frappe menu. TONS of sugar free flavors !! Will be back next time in Lexington.

Great place and the people are amazing! The staff know what they are doing! Everyone truly cares. Great place to sit down and get a coffee and/or a desert pastry. Plenty other odds and ends too. Keep up the awesome work!

I have never had anything but frozen coffee drinks here, but they are always super wonderful. They have a large menu of drink flavors that they have came up with or or you can always make your own. My favorite drink is the banana fosters blended coffee drink by far. It’s in the down stairs of a very charming older house. There are lots of different rooms you can sit in to visit or work. There’s also some nice outside seating areas. I’ve actually bought a few things here too as far as a gift. They do have a punchcard, and on Tuesdays is double punch.

First time visit! Very convenient location. The coffee was exceptional and the employees were very courteous! They have several seating areas sectioned off and the lay out is really neat. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you are near by. They have snacks and baked goods as well! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black Chicken Coffee is one of my favorites in Downtown Lexington, though I haven’t been in a while, grabbing an iced coffee and enjoying a seat on the large porch or in one of the comfy sitting rooms can never go wrong. The drink menu is also hefty with lots of unique Black Chicken specialities or the ability to create your own caffeinated masterpiece. And if you’re not a caffeine person but still like a tasty drink, I highly recommend the Peach Melba!!

I come in here quite frequently! I absolutely love their coffee and the employees are always extremely nice! Atmosphere has a great place to get some work done or to get together with friends. The owner is amazing, and has some awesome hand crafter items for sale throughout the store. Highly recommend!

Definitely the most homey coffee shop I've been too by far. They have non dairy options which I love. The iced latte was so good & not too sweet. And the owners were super kind and welcoming. Glad I finally checked it out(:

Great place to stop and get yourself a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate on a cold Winter's day or even in the warmth of Summer. And they have some great snacks to go with it.

I was skeptical about the kind of coffee that I was getting but once I tasted the coffee I looked at the girl and immediately knew I was coming back.. I purchased the “7th Heaven” coffee made hot and it was incredible..

Some of the best coffee bar I have been too. The Blueberry Creme coffee is a must try!! All their coffee is amazing. They have iced frozen and even cold brew coffee's.

Great variety and value! Quaint old setting and decor. Local baked products. Friendly staff.

Best coffee place ever! My husband hates coffee but this is the only place where he'll drink coffee from because it doesn't leave a nasty after taste. Customer service is excellent 🙂

What a wonderful hidden gem. They had a huge assortment of Frappuccino and latte flavors it was hard to choose and makes you want to visit again so you can try another flavor. Highly recommend.
Only downside is no pastries beside some Sam's club danish.

This place is so cozy and inviting. They have a huge menu with something for everyone. I especially love that they offer non-coffee & non-dairy options as well. The staff is great. They have seating both inside and outside. I wish this was a national franchise so I could get it while I’m traveling throughout the country.

Black Chicken will have you hooked the second you walk in with that aroma. Oh my goodness. The smell of coffee beans always makes me feel at home. I try to get a different type of drink every time I go. I'm hooked on their cold brew. With bigger coffee chains coming to the area, it is SO important to support your local businesses if you want to keep them around. The staff is always so nice and willing to help with any questions you have. For sure worth trying if you haven't dropped by before.
