The Madness

This is literally some of the best food I've ever eaten. If you like burgers, The Madness' are INCREDIBLE. Smashed style, cooked to order, with delicious options (personal favorite is the Hangover). If you like sushi, The Madness' is INCREDIBLE. As good as the best sushi/Japanese restaurant in Asheville, and better than 99% of those. (Try the Kamikaze roll, it's so delicious I could eat it for every meal). Also, the cocktails? Completely amazing, you can't go wrong. Well-made, delicious, and boozy.
Staff are friendly and atmosphere is lovely, but if you need a reason to go, go for the AMAZING FOOD. The chefs back there are doing something very, very right.

Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful service and great food.

Has a better atmosphere than the other location but the food is just as good.

More elbow room, so to speak - other location can feel cramped and packed but this one has a smoother tone and doesn't seem as full even when there seems to be more people.

Service is great - our server was friendly and helpful, knew the menu well and helped with suggestions and descriptions of items.

Food is amazing at both locations - other location seems to be quicker in the kitchen but the drinks here seem to be much better balanced.

Damian was our server & he was very pleasant friendly & patient. We were a difficult bunch to handle. Damian did such an awesome job handling us & giving us his menu favorites. The Spring rolls, vegan sushi 🍱 & Miso soup is definitely worth coming back for. Thank you to the chefs as well appetizer & dinner was delicious❣

My daughter and I stopped here on our way down to Georgia for a photoshoot and we are glad we did. The pictures speak for themselves. If you're looking for great sushi look no further and shout out to Natalie for taking great care of us at our table.

Came one night for a solo dinner, very nice ambiance 😊. Had the rice crispy with no tuna for an appetizer and it was my fav. I got the out of control roll with no cheese or raw fish and took the boss roll to-go for lunch the next day. The sushi is very filling so I ended up taking half of the out of control roll home too. My waiter was super patient with my questions and requests. For a drink I either had the sunflower cocktail or the sake Rita cocktail- one of them was the Monday special price drink and that’s what I had. It was very good- kudos to the bartender 💖 Also got to try the limited edition Yamato. Loved the bartender came and gave me a recommendation on how to order it since it’s like $40. Definitely worth it though, I would buy a bottle if I could find it in Asheville- best whisky I’ve ever had!

Second visit here after a sunny morning walk at Beaver Lake and visit to the bird sanctuary. Nick was a gracious conversant and helpful server. He had some good suggestions as well. The crab Rangoon dip was tasty and plentiful. Had enough to bring some home. Shared a nice sized salad and finished with a sushi roll which was delicious. When we left shortly after noon the restaurant was filling up and I had the sense that they were regulars as we are becoming. Delicious creative sushi and beef servings... Something for everyone.

This place is great and the location is very convenient, with plenty of parking. I love that I can get a good burger and a sushi roll from the same place. I really think everyone can find something to eat since their menu is versatile yet simple. The service is also exceptional from a friendly staff.

The food and staff were great! Super friendly and personable. I ordered The Madness Burger...it looked interesting on the menu, but was skeptical of how it would taste. It was AMAZING! 👏 👏 So glad I tried it. Go try this burger, it's madness...

Food was good and the server was extremely nice. However me and my family split the takoyaki balls up and one family member said the inside of theirs was still cold. Mine was warm enough for my liking and tasted good. The Rice Crispy was good and then my favorite dish that we got was The Madness burger which was packed full of flavor and cooked medium rare as requested also the fries were good. The sushi was also good.

My friend likes to eat here and we were visiting her, so The Madness it was. The burgers were delicious. I love a good burger and would definitely say they serve a good burger. We will definitely return.

I got the burger slider bento box and loved it!! Excellent eel sushi roll, Madness slider was delicious, gyoza and fries were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Even the ginger dressing on the salad was outstanding. We will 100% be back.

The host who will be now known as Mr.Lillard aka Shaggy :)! He was and is amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, he is kind and polite and a beautiful soul ! The atmosphere is upbeat and everything I needed after working doubles from work, this is a beautiful place with beautiful people! I ordered the Nigiri & Dragon Roll and it was phenomenal! Thank you so much for an amazing experience and made our day amazing as well!

Discovered this place because it’s right by the vape shop I go to. It can be a bit pricey, but it’s worth it. Friendly staff, great drinks, and great sushi. I haven’t gotten a burger yet, (they’re so massive) but they look fantastic. The Buffalo chicken wrap is great too, and the fries are cooked perfectly.
Their bar is amazing and I especially love their Sunflower cocktail.
I’m pretty much a regular now.

this place does not disappoint! the servers are all so welcoming and polite, the atmosphere matches that of Asheville city, and the rolls are all very unique. I personally love the out of control roll and the sweetheart roll! the drinks are so great! definitely coming back

Shocking good! Coming from Florida, I was skeptical about the sushi. Sushi was great and the burger bento box was incredible! The only problem I had was deciding which flavor I wanted for my last bite. Yum!

Not our first time coming here and definitely won’t be our last! Quick delivery and always a fresh, delicious flavor. Ordered the bento box with salmon avocado roll and the wrap is a buffalo wrap. To die for!

If you are with a group of friends divided over whether to have sushi, this is the spot! Great casual place to grab a bite. You can get sushi & your friends can grab a delicious burger as well!! My favorite is the Red Snapper Carpaccio & Lane loves the Diablo burger.

The sushi was absolutely delicious. The employees were very nice and attentive and the restaurant is very clean. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. If you’re looking to get a good roll of sushi in AVL, definitely go here.

A nice casual sushi bar that offers my husband something to eat too because he doesn't care for fish. The other options are just as good as the sushi. And the drinks are very special! Service and prices for all so great.
