So glad I switched from Walmart, West Main. Excellent service and their website is not a jacked-up mess like Walmart's is. I can look and if it says ready, it is ready. Not excessively long wait times when I call, or the drive thru and I don't get switched all over the store when I call.

Likes: Consistent pharmacy service, friendly staff, willingness to answer questions, low wait times, drugs are in stock. Dislikes: A couple of prescription filling errors, hard to read labels.
Verdict: I'm going to try out CVS wherever I go vs. decades at Walgreens. My insurance gives me the lowest prices here, sometimes less than a dollar.

Pharmacy was very helpful since the VA switched me over from Walgreens. Though is was later in the evening, the pharmacist and technician were both professional and timely.

As far as CVS’s go, I find this location to be one of the better. I’ve known to expect at least 2 hours for filling an Rx there, but I still decided to use them instead of a more preferred pharmacy when we moved back from out of state. The main reason for this decision was the HOURS, plus my prior interactions with the pharmacists here have all been positive.

My issue is how the pharmacy sometimes closes early on a whim. You may pull up to the window to find the shade pulled down a good 15-30 min prior to time they advertise as open & you are SOL even if they’re still in there riding out the clock!

It’s beyond frustrating when you rush to make in time & you do BUT your still SOL! A retail pharmacy store should remain open for business during the times they advertise they are, period. If you choose to work somewhere that closes at 9pm, then you should plan on being there a few min past 9pm for closing or either go find another place to work who has different hours!!! At this store, you have no way of knowing when this will be the case or not before you get there. And I’m not talking about showing up with a new Rx to fill, but picking up a Rx that’s sitting there ready which is a transaction that typically takes 2 min or less. It’s very frustrating when it does happen.

What people are saying, about prescriptions taking a long time to fill, is 100% accurate. However, CVS and Walgreen's are the only two pharmacies that carry certain medications. Used to be 3 with Fred's, but surprise Walgreen's bought them out and then shut most locations down. Now they think they have a monopoly on medications and charge twice the normal amount. CVS may take awhile considering the certain increase in customers, but they don't try to charge an arm and a leg for prescriptions that some of us can't get covered under insurance. I only rated 3 stars because of the extreme wait time, doesn't matter if you're waiting in the store or you dropped off to pick up later, you are going to wait hours for your prescription to be filled.

Only complaint would be their short staffed and very slow about getting out the prescriptions, and very slow to wait on customers. This is bad for business. I have just recently started using CVS. Now I'm wondering if I did the right thing moving my Prescriptions here.

Don't use this pharmacy if you're in a hurry. If you LIKE inconvenient surprises when trying to get a medication, then this might be something you will like. Otherwise you might just want to stick with Walmart Pharmacy.
