I lived with debilitating headaches on almost a daily basis for decades and it dramatically affected my life. About ten years ago, I started going to Asheville Neurology and Dr. Engelbrecht
began a treatment plan for my headaches that has been successful & absolutely life-changing for me. It's also nice to see that everyone who works at Asheville Neurology seems committed to the part they play in helping change lives for the better.

Dr. Armstrong and his assistant Payal actually listen to you and address any concerns you may have. They work with you to formulate a plan of action to help facilitate any issues you have. They go over any procedures and/or medication to help you understand what's going on and what it is for.

Very well-run doctor office. I waited for five months for an appointment, but once I was in the door, I was really well cared for. Front desk staff very professional & on-site pharmacy that offers free delivery. Restroom clean & convenient. Dr. Armstrong reviewed all historical records I brought with me & I felt like he really listened to my concerns & was also friendly & personable. Medical assistant Tamara was helpful & professional as well. Conveniently located. Plenty of free parking.

Dr. Patton is caring, compassionate, has a great bedside manner and he listens to his patients.

I love this place they are friendly patient and kind they make sure that you're taking care of.

Dr patton is a very very special dr. He takes his time to listen to anything you need to talk about and really nice to my wife she gets migraines and he does botox injections like alot of injections in my wife's body/ head and zero pain I mean ZERO pain, office and assistants not sure about the names but really efficient and nice to everyone

Dr. Armstrong is patient and willing to make medication adjustments on a schedule I am most comfortable with. We have seen neurologist in several states. We are fortunate to now have Robert Armstrong on our team.

I have been a patient of Dr. Engelbrecht for many years. (Might hold the record haha) I suffer with debilitating migraines and he has always done nothing but tried to improve the quality of my life and we have used or tried every therapy in the books. He cares. He listens. He takes all the time you need. I feel fortunate to have a Dr that I trust. The entire office staff is absolutely wonderful. Lori his assistant is one of the sweetest. I don’t just feel like a patient, I feel like family. I highly recommend this practice.

I’ve been to several neurologist in the past 20 years. I finally feel like I’ve found a doctor that is extremely thorough, very competent with the most caring bedside manner. (These are rare!) I am very happy with Dr. Patton! He has got more done in a month than all my doctors combine in the past. I am beyond appreciative! The Staff is also Great!

Asheville Neurology is the second Neurology clinic I worked with after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I was looking for a place where I could be cared for in a compassionate, patient centered environment. They delivered on that, and then some. Dr Armstrong is my provider and is a great doctor. He answered quickly when I required medical treatment after hours. They stay up to date on new treatments and participate in medicine trials. They offer an infusion clinic for patients requiring infusions to manage their MS and other neurological diseases. The infusion nurse (Lissa) is friendly and professional and is great at starting IV’s. I would highly recommend Asheville Neurology to anyone needing a neurologist.
