Cute bookstore. I might have had a off day today but I really didn't have anything jump out that caught my eye. Bought only one book, usually it's four or five. One star off because the costs of books just keeps climbing. They are a little overpriced in my opinion. Even so I will be back. I love my Kindle but sometimes you just need to hold a book and turn the pages right?

Update same day 12/08/2023-Love the reply from the owner. I appreciate your explanation on rising costs of your books and your honesty. You got your 5th star 😊 I am all for supporting local stores. So much better than big box stores. I did not know of the book festival. It is now on my calendar next year. I will be back next month for sure. Merry Christmas!

Went to Pig City Books for the first time today and was not disappointed! Walking up, the outside is already inviting with it's cute decor and hot pink door. It is hidden behind the old courthouse but there are signs you can see from the square pointing you in the right direction.
The ladies that work there are oozing with southern hospitality and you can tell they take pride in their books. They have a little something for all ages groups, fiction and non-fiction. If you have little ones, this small town local business is a must. They have such a cute and fun section for the kiddos. I also loved the selection of local and state books. I even found a couple books for stocking stuffers for my Mama and husband.
Bonus surprise was the store mascot named Lex. Want to know more, go check it out! 😉

Cute little bookshop. Friendly staff. They have all the newely published on the front table (they have copies of iron flame for those who are looking).
For those who need help finding it, best to put in your GPS waltzer and Stone, drive in the back alley and the bookshop is right smack across the street. Or you could type in Davidson County historical society and drive on back. It's right behind the building. Bright pink door. Can't miss it.

Didn't know we had a bookshop. Bought a newely published book that sounds really good! I'll be back again.

This is a great bookshop. It's cozy, and with a great selection of books, you are bound to find something you like. They also host lots of events. It's located behind the old courthouse museum. You can recognize it by its pink door.

Wonderful bookshop with LOTS of book-related gifts for your favorite bibliophile. Great local author section and fabulous cookbooks (because Lexington IS the barbecue capital of the world!). This store truly believes in community and is doing remarkable things to make everyone fall in love with a book...or two. Take a break from eating delicious BBQ and make sure to stop by this great store! You won't be disappointed.

The cutest little bookstore in a southern historical town known as the barbecue capital. The owner's mom is so friendly and excited about the bookstore and all of its opportunities and events. There are several different sections throughout the space- host room for small events, a young children's section, an elementary/middle age kid section, teen/young adult, history, etc. In addition to books , they sell unique gifts and toys. All the while shopping, you can get some luvin' from Lex the cat.

The best independent bookstore in North Carolina. If they do not have the book in stock, they can get it ordered and in your hands within 5 to 6 days. Owners plan the best events, such as Lexington's first Book Festival
