A few months ago, I purchased my concert ukulele at this store, and I’ve been very happy with it. When I bought the ukulele, I was waited on by the owner Jerry. He helped me . He taught me some things that I needed to know to take care of it .. I was very pleased. I went back in today to pick up a few things. I wanted to get a strap and I wanted to put on some different strings and a few other small items. Jerry, the owner took the ukulele and my husband and I to the back and showed us how to string the ukulele. He was very patient and cheerful. When I checked out the price it was probably $20 less than I thought it would be. His prices are very low. In fact, I think they’re too low in some cases. If you compare some things online, for example my strings, the same exact new set of strings were two dollars cheaper at Music City. I expected to pay more and I was OK with it because I know he has expenses. I always try to support our local businesses. I’m so glad the store is so close to me that I can go over and get my questions answered and buy my supplies. You’re not helping your community by buying online. Support local business.

They had strings for our mountain dulcimer when no one else did and did a great job re-stringing it. Great service!

Fixed my old Fender amplifier. It never sounded better! Repaired a broken tuning key and adjusted my Takamine acoustic guitar. New strings, too. It looks great and plays silky smooth. Friendly, knowledgeable and easy on the budget! Great service!

I brought my Thunderbird bass guitar in a little after 10 AM. Phil had it ready a little after 2 PM. I've never had such fast service and price was more than reasonable. The owner Jerry is a great guy, and both he and Phil are excellent and knowledgeable musicians and technicians to boot.
I'll definitely bring my business back to Music City in the future.

I highly recommend this store as it's my favorite guitar shop in Asheville, I've never been disappointed with any of their work. My guitars always come back better than new, and the staff have always been very honest with me. I took my acoustic in for a full set up ($35) and it turned out all it needed was a slight tweak and I ended up only paying $3 for it to be completely fixed.

I need a drum key to build my drum set at my son’s house. I searched his entire home to no avail. I found Music city close!!! I didn’t know what to expect from a non guitar center type music store. They had a surprisingly large inventory of equipment. Even Ludwig drums!

This store will take care of you. You can tell this store takes pride in what they do. All of the guitars are beautifully displayed and ALL TUNED. They gave their recommendations based on what the customer needs not just to make a good sale. Will absolutely be back with the band in the future. Thanks again!

I walked into the store to find me a new guitar to add to my collection, I was looking and found this beautiful ESP EC-256 in White, and in about 5-10 minutes within walking in, I walked out with a new ESP EC-256 and a Gig Bag, The people are Nice and Respectful, I would definitely choose this business over Guitar Center any time, the prices are cheaper than other big Guitar Store Businesses. If you are looking for Electric Guitars, Acoustic Guitars, Gig Bags, Hardshell Cases, etc. Basically anything guitar related, whether it being Electric or Acoustic, choose this business to go to, I usually don't give reviews, maybe once every 2 years, but they definitely deserved it. Thank you to everyone who works there if you see this!

These guys really respect the music trade, you can trust your instrument with them. They restrung my precious guitar that collected dust for a few years :) It sounds brand new, or better! I've been looking for a small amp that didn't need to plug into an outlet, and lucky me, they had a small one perfect for my needs! Cool selection of sound makers, little shakers and such. They also carry the basics; straps, chords, pics, capos, oh yeah, and a beautiful array of guitars!!! Definitely check this place out!

Walked in, within 5 minutes had a nice gig bag for my strat, much higher quality than guitar centers roadrunner cases it had soft suede inside and velvet and the price was 10$ less than guitar centers basic bags. Great service as well...

Great place to buy a guitar. These guys know guitars and take the time to get you what you want. They did not appear to have quotas or specific makes and models that they are directed to pedal each week.
