The Container Store

My wife begged me to come here with her after finding it. I must say, that it is pretty cool if you're really into containers and organizing. There is a lot of selection to choose from although some of the markups on some items seem pretty steep. It is a neat store though.

This is one of my favorite stores! They have all of the unique organization pieces that you can’t find In other places. Variety and quality! Just walking through this store makes me want to organize something in my home. Staff is always helpful. It is conveniently located close to Crabtree Mall and has spacious parking. Highly recommend!

After weeks agonizing over an awkwardly shaped closet, I called this store and scheduled a free custom closet consultation. Jenna W. was so helpful! We talked through my measurements and my preferences and within a few hours I had a design. She was very responsive, got back to me quickly when I had questions and adjustments, and my order arrived within a few days. I just finished the install and it was genuinely easier than I expected, which is always a nice surprise. While it may not be the cheapest closet system, if you have an awkward space, it may just be worth it (it was for me!). I'm a big convert and will continue to use this store for my organizational needs. Tool shed comes next! :)

Karen absolutely was a delight. I had a very specific project I was working on and she went above and beyond to help me find what I needed and what would work. Love it when someone loves what they do!

Great quality items for storage, ranging from closets to kitchen to bathrooms. They have a lot of different owns in the store and the staff are helpful. Kind of in the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Really nice, recommend if you are looking to organize

My first time in and all I can say is...This store rocks ... Every conceivable storage need for a home is here ... From clothes closets to garage... The selection is huge and the customer service was very attentive... I had no idea there were so many choices to unclutter my house... Prices seem reasonable... I definitely recommend this place..

Great customer service offered by Teresa M. Teresa helped me design my closet to utilize my entire space. She provided an itemized list and design layout printout too. Definitely recommended speaking to the design section to ensure you have the clearance to open drawers and maximize your entire space.

Woah!!! I really have to write this review!!! As a mother of a pre schooler having the option of having my order brought out to the car was incredible. My phone would not allow me to download the app which you can tap to let the store know you are in the loading spot. I called up the store direct and explained my situation .A very kind member of staff brought it not only to my car but loaded it into my trunk ! Fantastic service!!!!

Store is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. They have great selection but seemed bit pricey, buying them on sale might be a good idea. Enough parking.

Great experience everytime! I purchased the top container (not the small one with purple handles) and filled it with almost every little nik nak and memorable item i had. It worked so well i went back for the larger version and put EVERYTHING in them.

Whatever organization your lifestyle needs, the container store can accommodate it!

What a turnaround!!! I visited The Container Store in Raleigh on Dec 30, 2023 and WOW what a difference! The customer service was exceptional. Every employee that my friend and I came in contact with was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Monica, who went above and beyond to help us with a question on the floor, and Julia, who was our cashier. It was a pleasant experience, despite the fact that the store was absolutely brimming with customers. When lines backed up they were handled, efficiently and effectively. The team working was just phenomenal. This was a complete 180 from all of my previous experiences at the store, and I was so excited to see it!

Great Products - Abysmal Customer Service

I actually really enjoy shopping at The Container Store and have spent a substantial amount of time and money here over the past eight months as we installed elfa in our son's room, our pantry, and then to set up an unexpected office for me due to COVID. While I've loved going to the store, since day one I've always felt lukewarm at best about the customer service. I literally cannot think of one time in the 30+ visits to the store I've made since since Feb. where I didn't feel like I was an inconvenience to the staff. It has always been a source of low-grade irritation for me and a running family joke, but I've put up with it because I really do like the products. However, today really took the cake and I think I'm now officially done.

I have had eight shelves on backorder since June. I have been extremely patient waiting for obvious reasons - we're all doing our best in these times - and they were finally shipped to my house last week (mind you the shelves are also on sale now but they would not honor that price even with the delay). I opened up one of the boxes and five of the shelves had noticeable dings in them. When I took them back to the store tonight to return them, the person who helped me, who was rude from the get-go, immediately "informed" me that the shelves were damaged before I could even get a word out. When I told her I knew they were damaged and that was, in fact, why I was returning them as they had been shipped to me that way her immediate response was "well I would never recommend shipping these". No sorry, no let me get these returned for you - just a completely dismissive attitude that it was somehow my fault for ordering shelves that were out of stock. The container store website absolutely does not indicate that the shelves shouldn't be shipped. In fact they had to be shipped because they were out of stock at the Raleigh store!

This was enough for for me but, of course, I had the gall to ask for assistance in getting two shelf brackets which immediately resulted in a heavy sigh because she had to "go to a different computer". While I was waiting for the brackets, I walked off to look for other items and happened to be in the next aisle as I heard her complaining to a colleague about my returning shelves. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of this beacon of customer service as I was so disgusted that I had to leave before I even purchased everything I came for.

So the good news is The Container store won't have to worry about me being a nuisance/customer anymore. After a solid 8 months of being disrespected I've finally had enough. It really is a shame.

We worked with Debbie and she was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about our needs and the Elfa products. She followed up and was responsive. Perfect experience at the Container Store!

I no longer live in Raleigh, but when I am in town I sometimes visit this Container Store to get Elfa components. Although items in the store are not cheap they are usually of good quality. The employees are always friendly and accommodating.

I love this store! They have everything you want and more. It's fun to check out all the things you never knew you needed.

I am very pleased with not only the installation of my closet organizer, but the entire process with store personnel and especially with the capable and speedy installer. I can finally organize my space and the price was a fraction of other local closet designers. Definitely recommending this service to friends and family
