Very good food and service. When available,the prime rib is very good along with your choice of sides. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is pleasant to look at and read.

Off the beaten path is this great little Cafe that we found by shear luck. The food was delicious and seasoned just right. The service was very friendly and quick. Country cooking with a hometown feel. I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes with fried okra. Finishing up with Apple pie 😋

We love to stop and eat at unique places while traveling. WOW we were surprised by this jewel named, Battle Branch Cafe. The service was Excellent and the Food was OUTSTANDING!! To top it off with their homemade desserts, I had Coconut Cake, just like my Grandma made!! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a REAL NICE MEAL WITH NICE STAFF!

We had fun. Had a lot of history photos. You could imagine all of the soldiers sitting around a campfire eating some kind goulash back in the day.

Awesome country cafe! Food is really good, want to be in a peaceful home like environment this is it.

New to the area, focusing on our local non-chain restaurants. Nice variety on menu, prices hard to beat for a full service place. Excellent service, food quality and quiet atmosphere for relaxed conversation and family time. Highly recommended, will frequent often!

Me and my family have been to this restaurant several times. We happened upon it while going to visit a place I had seen on North Carolina Weekend. Coming back we came down the road that runs next to the restaurant. We were surprised to see a restaurant out in such a remote location. Since we were all hungry we stopped. What a wonderful surprise. I have read the couple of negative reviews and it is true that there are some people you can never please. We live an hour and 20 minutes away and we choose to drive to this restaurant. Don't go there if you don't like excellent home cooking or homemade desserts. We love this place. The waitress and owner and very nice.

A very eclectic restaurant with delicious breakfast food. Had a western omelet with mushrooms and it was fabulous! Best grits ever! Neat atmosphere and Julie our waitress was so friendly.

It's in the middle of nowhere but great food and service for a really good price. Better food at cheaper prices than going to some overpriced chain. The Buffalo chicken wrap is great and the onion rings are amazing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

Great Little place! GOOD FOOD, Very Friendly Staff ! We had a group of 11 or 10 people. They where quick with our food and no mix ups. Really Enjoyed this Place... I will be Back!

It's a great little country restaurant with some really wonderful desserts.
I went there for breakfast on Sunday and saw that they had chicken pie for lunch and was disappointed that I got there too early for that.

All in all it has a great atmosphere with a historical theme.

Also the prices are great.

Great confort food. The service was just perfect. Real clean and cozy place. Feels like home.

Great spot for both locals and visitors. Super friendly staff and a large menu with lots of choices. We had the grilling pimento cheese sandwich and the buffalo chicken wrap. Both ere delicious. Also recommend the homemade chips with ranch dressing dip.

First time eating there the food was excellent

Excellent food! Excellent service! Very clean and pretty restaurant. Large variety of choices. Everything is good there. I had BBQ and fries. My friend had chicken tenders and vegetables, my aunt had a Buffalo chicken wrap. They serve large portions! Definately going back!

Food was delicious!! We had just been to a vineyard and was on our way to some place else to eat when we saw this place. So happy we stopped. Wasn't expensive and you received good size portions. Homemade chips and I had the cucumber salad that tasted just like I grew up on.

We enjoyed the daily special (meatloaf w/ 2 sides). Great cooking at a fair price. Good variety on the menu. Excellent dessert list. Historic place. Well off the beaten path, yet convenient to find. Friendly, courteous staff. Recommended.

We haven't been here for a few years. We moved and it is no longer in our area of travel. I was thinking about prime rib, they have it on Friday and Saturday, so a little trip to an old favorite. We were not disappointed.

My son and I went for a late dessert, it was delicious! One of the best pumpkin pies I'd ever had. The atmosphere was great, the cafe itself is very cute, with a front porch and fireplace. Will definitely go again!
