They take such good care of our dog Kona and are always very friendly and accommodating to schedule with. We love all of the staff there. They are so patient with our dog who can be a handful at the vet due to her anxiety. So lucky to have them near by and they were recommended by Operation Kindness where we received our dog from.

Unfortunately our first visit at the Vet House resulted in us having to put our sweet Morkie down. We tried to prepare ourselves emotionally but nothing can prepare one for the loss of a pet. The team at The Vet House was kind, compassionate and most of all patient. They explained things to us slowly and in detail and went above and beyond to help us make the best decision. They allowed us as much time as needed. Even though they were set to close early, they never rushed us. This was by far one of the hardest choices I've ever had to make and we were absolutely devastated. But I will be forever grateful to this team for guiding me through it. They made the last hours of life beautiful and sweet and comfortable for our sweet Lucie. They understood and sympathized with our grief. Thank you so much for your compassionate and gentle care.

I've trusted the ladies here for a few years with my kitties and they have always done a wonderful job! I come to them for their dentals as well as check ups and anything that crops up in between- they just took wonderful care of the newest addition to my home in a senior rescue. I brought him because he'd stopped eating and was acting very lethargic- they diagnosed his ear infection immediately and once we got the treatment on board he was happy and eating again within a few days! I was worried it was going to be a battery of expensive testing but they had us diagnosed and treated so fast and affordably! I always recommend the Vet House when anyone is looking for a vet that really cares 🐾💜

I can't praise the Vet House enough for the amazing care they've provided our fur babies over the last 5+ years!

Services Used: General checkup/vaccinations, emergency surgery, dental work, nail trimming, boarding, allergies (seasonal and severe skin rashes), IVDD issues, puppy care, senior dog care, rainbow bridge care.

Pets Seen: German shepherds, rottweiler, dachshunds

We began using the Vet House when we were fresh college graduates. They've always been affordable and upfront about costs, medication, lab work, and alternatives if certain things weren't in our budget. Most of the time, our visits were for annual checkups and vaccinations. As our dogs got older, we've unfortunately had to make additional trips for issues like arthritis, severe allergies, pre/post-surgery (IVDD), and helping our oldest cross the rainbow bridge. When we went on a 2-week vacation, we boarded our senior dog with them and received frequent updates throughout their stay. The staff and doctors are always so welcoming and caring, even if they're busy and the phones are ringing off the hook. They take the time to address all of our concerns, whether it's financial or general health questions. They're attentive to the pets, allowing them to calm down if they're stressed in the rooms before moving forward with handling them. I've never felt rushed or disregarded here. The decision to help our dog cross the rainbow bridge was extremely difficult, but the Vet House did everything to reassure us from beginning to end. We are so grateful for the level of compassion the staff showed during this time, knowing that they genuinely cared for our pets and shared in our loss. If there were hiccups with service, the staff has always taken accountability (to be clear, no major mistakes were experienced with them). As a family on a very tight budget, sometimes their suggestions for food or medication just wouldn't work for us. They took the time to find affordable alternatives, or in situations where alternatives would not be helpful, explained how/why it'd benefit our dogs to stick with the prescribed suggestion. This can seem like they're just trying to take our money, but I genuinely believe that the staff only suggests what works best from their experience. For example, our GSD had seasonal allergies and was treated with Apoquel for years, but it escalated into a nasty skin rash that looked/smelled like rotting flesh. The labwork, medication, and shampoo were crazy expensive. We tried alternatives from the store before realizing that the money we put toward those "quick fixes" totaled up to the medication from the office anyway. Even when the alternatives would show the "same active ingredient", it truly wasn't nearly as effective as the medication from the vet. Even if the office is having a horrible day, I've never known them to be rude, dismissive, or "money hungry". The facility is clean, both inside and out, and the waiting area has never been crowded - which is super important for folks with reactive/hyper/anxious pets. Scheduling with them can seem difficult if immediate care is needed, but they're always willing to squeeze in an appointment. They're great with communication, especially now that their app is running! For other emergencies, they're partnered with local animal hospitals or even the shelter for additional care. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for care for their pets.

TL;DR - We LOVE the Vet House!

Dr Stephanie Smothers is an amazing vet! Happy that our 2 dogs, Evva and Frannie, as well as our little orange tabby cat, Kylo, are in her hands. Not only has she expertly treated our seemingly malady-prone pets, but she makes sure we know preventive measures to take in the future so they can get to their full time calling: being spoiled fur babies!

Yesterday my pup got spayed at the vet house, where we’ve been coming for her care since the day we brought her home. They have always been kind, professional, and quickly remembered my puppy by name. Their prices have always been reasonable and competitive. Regarding the spay, the techs made sure to answer any questions I had and were very informative. Today my puppy is acting exactly like her playful self. Thank you to Dr Smothers and the surgical techs (happy surgical tech week!) for taking good care of my puppy!!!

We are so blessed to have The Vet House. We adopted our senior baby Hailey and they were on the list of recommended vets. When we took her in for her physical, we were greeted upon arrival and everyone was welcoming and warm. It turned out that she had a UTI and even though the promotion we were using didn't apply to pets who had a medical condition that needed treatment, they still honored the promotion and didn't charge for the visit. A couple weeks later we used them to board our sweet baby when we had to go out of town unexpectedly, they were able to accommodate us last minute and took great care of her. When her health declined the following week to the point that she couldn't move or walk, we were unable to get an appointment as they were all booked up but they offered to try an squeeze her in if we would drop her off when they opened. No sooner had I made it home (about 15 minutes) they had already called and said they did not like the way she was behaving and went ahead and got her seen immediately. The concern they showed and the decision to act immediately really means a lot to us. We wouldn't dare take her anywhere else. Thank you Brian and the entire Vet House team for making us feel like family and taking such good care of our baby in the short time we've had her!

We've been bringing our sweet little Olivia (almost 3yo chihuahua) here since we moved to Dallas in late 2019 and always leave feeling soooo happy we chose this place to take care of everything she needs!

We decided on the Vet House initially because their boarding prices are the best in Dallas. Olivia stayed there for roughly two weeks in January 2020 while her dad was out of the country attending a wedding (and I was on the east coast for school). Her stay had to be extended by several days due to unforseen circumstances, but it wasn't a problem at all. Olivia came back home completely healthy--no fleas or kennel cough! The technicians even said they would let her up in the front from time to time because she seemed quite sad to be away from her dad. I called several times throughout her stay to see how she was doing and everyone knew and loved her and made notes in her file for me all the time. I can't believe how kind and thoughtful everyone was! Just an excellent experience.

If I remember right, just after boarding when her dad picked her up, Olivia got her yearly check up done and received some boosters. It was seamless.

Today (Jan 2021) Olivia just came home from a dentist appointment (light teeth cleaning). During the consultation, Dr. Wagner and Anna informed me about heartworm prevention, but didn't pressure me at all to get the test done or pick up preventative medicine for it. I did anyway (of course), but I love that there seemed to be no judgment one way or the other. Additionally, the cleaning itself the doctor said we could do on our own by brushing 3x a week, which was super helpful and considerate of her to mention in case we were worried about the cost of everything. However, we had already decided to make sure Olivia got her teeth professionally cleaned in order for her to stay in tip top shape since chihuahuas have notoriously bad teeth (poor guys). On top of the cleaning, they also updated her boosters, which was a last-minute request the tech said they'd add to the notes to see if they'd be able to do--and they did! These people keep extremely detailed notes in your pet's file and stay on top of everything!!

I left with everything I needed to know, lots of small random questions answered (microchip, etc.) antibiotic drops to give Olivia after the dental work, as well as some dental chew samples! I just sat down (after making sure Olivia is nice and cozy) to finally write this well-deserved and long overdue review.

Thank you soooo much, everyone! Anna, Dannie, Alan, Dr. Wagner, and everyone else involved I didn't speak with directly! You're all amazing. I know when I leave Olivia with you she's in the most caring hands. ❤

I had my two dachshunds euthanized here and the staff was extremely kind, patient and sympathetic at a very difficult time. They took me straight to a room, brought the credit card machine to me and let me exit a side door. They also told me I could stay with the dogs as long as I wanted to. I now have a new puppy that went in for his first vet visit and I was very well informed and am confident he will be well taken care of.

Took Elphie to get spayed because I wanted it to be done at a vet. They're AAHA accredited and affordable! My little girl is a little space cadet right now but it sounds like it went really well and the technician who dealt with us was very nice too. The facility itself was clean, cozy, and nice. I felt perfectly comfortable about leaving Elphie there for the surgery as I could tell she was in good hands. I even got a call from the Dr. right after the surgery for an update which I really appreciated. Hopefully we'll by by later than sooner, but I'm happy to make The Vet House our new go-to if something ever comes up :)

I love the new young vets vey compassionate along with vet techs. Prices are inline with other vets. They took very good care of my 15 1/2yr old dog who was very sick. I had to let her go. They were so very compassionate. Then about a year later our cat got sick wouldn’t eat. She had cancer. Once again they helped make it as peaceful as they could when we had to let her go. They’re the best vets I’ve ever had. Thank you to all.

We have been taking our two GSPs here...10 years for our oldest! We have seen a turn-around of Dr's and front desk staff and they all have been attentive and trustworthy. Dr's and Techs always answer my list of questions (I'm a first time dog owner and do not know the stages of a dog life!). The Dr's will literally get down to the dog's level, and the care is genuine. They do not nit-pick about pricing and understand if I was just there for something, and this was related, they will adjust the pricing, or roll-it forward into a consult or use a tech-visit price when possible (versus office visit). Dogs can be pricey, especially if active like mine! If you are clear and communicate with them, you get the same in return. During covid, I tend to email them pics of my concern pre-visit or print a pic to give to them upon arrival (such as lumps or tooth issue) so that they know exactly what I am referring to since I can't be in the office with my pup and this eases my mind. They take competitors pricing for meds (print the current pricing or email a copy) and they always do a follow-up phone call after an 'emergency' visit. Thank you, Vet House!

They take great care of my babies. They follow up with phone calls and even sent a nice post card wishing my kitty a quick recovery which was very cute of them. Very thoughtful!

First of all let me start by saying thank you to you Brian your an amazing person and a hero anyone would be lucky to bring they're animals here to see you, you went out of your way personally to make sure that my dog Bluey was was ok you took my concerns seriously and helped me ease my worries by making sure he was ok, even though you more than likely knew he was ok you still did what you needed to do to help and you didn't even charge me and that showed me that my dogs life mattered more than money to you that meant alot and I'm forever grateful, (Not saying everyone's experience will be the same but it's just a glimpse of the AMAZING things the heros at this vet do for our animals and I definitely guarantee you won't be disappointed with them and I encourage you all to bring your animals here if you haven't already) once again fantastic job to you Brian and your team you guys are AMAZING and you have a customer for life in me sincerely Daniel Pena. I LOVE this vet's office! They are so good to me and my babies. I had a late appointment and they still gave me the time and attention necessary to answer my questions and didn't make me feel like they were just trying to push me out the door. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

The service was prompt, we didn't wait very long for the initial take back or for the main vet to come into the room. She made sure we had explained our concerns and they were addressed, and fully explained. They also recommend places to shop for the prescription to find it cheaply. Would recommend!
