St. Nicholas Hill Country Episcopal Church

Love this church! So welcoming, even for those of us that didn't necessarily grow up "in the church". While my hubs is a "cradle Episcopalian", I wasn't brought up in a particular church, and this one has never made me feel out of place.

Lots of kiddos running around which is great to see even if I am no longer in that season of life (two teens at home, lol). Beth is probably the most caring and creative minister I have ever met.

Kinda weird that another review said this church only cares about donations as they don't even pass around an offering plate or mention it during service! Not sure this person has actually attended a service there because that is so far from the truth it is laughable. When my mom passed away a year ago, we had her service here and Beth refused to charge us - even for use of the space. My sisters and their families were super surprised that the plate wasn't passed around during that service either. You would think that would be normal anyway for a funeral service, but I know I have been to funerals were they did that. I had so many folks after the service ask how they could contribute to the church... because the service was THAT beautiful and it wasn't super obvious how to donate.

My family has been attending since launch and we only started donating regularly online this past year. We are super involved, and have never felt unappreciated. My teens especially like that I don't make them dress up - even when they are helping Beth during service. Shorts are common, but so are dresses and slacks. The church has a very laid back vibe which I love.

Had a fabulous visit and plan to return. This makes my love for Bulverde complete. The people welcomed me with open hearts, even though I’m a Sooner. Refreshing message and Beth is wonderful. Thank you St Nicholas family!!

We love St. Nicholas. I finally found a church home where we are loved and accepted for who we are.
