Helotes City Park & Playground

The most calming playground I’ve been to with little ones. Their water fountain is for people at every height, and also includes a dog bowl. It’s shaded enough, equipment is clean, and fenced in. The fencing is probably the BEST part about it!! Parents and caregivers, you get it!! Located next to the police department, so it was also free of any weirdos.

We loved this awesome park! Completely fenced in which I know every parent appreciates. Located right in between the police station and fire department (needless to say there weren’t any sketchy people around). Equipment and whole area was very clean and nicely kept. There are swings, seesaws, trees to climb, picnic tables.. lots of shade! Nice calm park!!

Cute park, lots of different stations to play on. Lots of picnic tables. Good amount of shady trees. Parking is sometimes hard to find, as it shares parking with City Hall.

My family was there for the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Very nice and clean, had a great time

I've lived in Helotes 10 yrs now and didn't even know this park existed! Very well shaded. Perfect place for a picnic.

Nice and shaded, so many areas to sit (even though I never actually get to sit down lol) and lots of different things to climb and play on. My 4.5 and 1.5 year old both loved it.

Great park. Huge an fenced in. Didn't have to worry about my autistic son running out into road. Smack in between a fire Department an police station for maximum safety. Plus every now an then the fire truck comes out an the kids love it. Lots of unique things to play with. From ce-saws to jungle gyms an even a really low an bent super easy to climb tree to. Plus a wheel chair assecible swing.

Small and tucked away this park offer a great area to play safely. My son fell and injured himself but we walked next door to the fire station where they not only gave him a bandaid but he also got a firefighter hat, sticker, and even got to sit in a real fire truck! Really a great community place to go and enjoy a small slice of the outdoors.

Has a total of 5 swings: 3 "regular," 1 infant, and 1 wheelchair accessible. 1 elevated fort-like structure with rock wall on one side and a ladder on the other. 2 see-saws with tires underneath the seats to cushion you from going completely on the ground. 1 set of monkey bars with 4 pull-up bars and 2 "fireman" poles. 2 climbing bars. 1 cylindrical tall jungle gym. 1 balance-beam style equipment. 4 spinning-type equipment. Gravel "walking trail" inside the perimeter of the fence line. LOTS of seating including several picnic benches and tables. 1 port-a-potty outside the fence line. Bring bug spray as there are several large shaded trees, and mosquitoes are noticeable in the evening.

Awesome place we bring the kids to movie night every couple of weeks!
