I frequently bring my children to this library for story time. Ms Carey, the children’s librarian, is the best in the business! I have yet to find another as talented, enthusiastic, energetic, and caring as she is. She truly has a passion for children that shows every time.

Most organized and best atmosphere of any library in San Antonio that I've been to. It's a plus that they actually had books my eclectic 17 year old likes.

This library has everything you could want from a library and is well staffed with friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking and a playground next to it. Activities for the community and group special interest gatherings. Comfortable reading areas and outdoor social gathering tables. It is a gem for the community.

This is a wonderful place. It is conveniently located by a park. The district 8 field office is located inside. There is a teen space, toddler/kid space and lots of computers. The facility itself is beautiful. And the resource space is very informative.

Library on the smaller side, but nice. I was there before noon on a Wednesday and there were quite a few families. Always great to see kids in a library! I used computers for internet and printing from net. No issues on anything. Staff was helpful with location of computers.

Went here to vote. Very organized polling station. Shirt lines and the workers get everybody through super fast. Library is only doing contactless pick up for books. Staff is very friendly, patient, and accommodating. Building is very clean and well maintained and has a beautiful exterior with a nature trail on the opposite side of the parking lot.

This is a public library...not your house, not a Starbucks.. and is one of the better ones I've been to as it has great areas where there are various noise levels, and staff will remind those who forget, or ask them those who continue to forget, to leave. A park to the right of library has a kids playground and fantastic walking trail and is for those who want to run off energy and be loud. Patio outside is for those who desire to talk at normal levels, and inside is for those who desire quiet or very low talking levels to study, or read or search for a book of their choice. I do wish they had more a few more sitting areas for study, I am going to see if I can find a way (attend a budget meeting or find out about fundraisers)to see if it's possible to help, I suggest for those who feel the same, do so as well. I have been/lived in countries and even states where such places do not exist or are limited, and feel very fortunate that we have it in this community.

I needed to return a book and get a new library card. Someone wrote a note in the book. I pointed it out to the librarian who said they would take care of it. It didn't take long for her to issue my new card. I was glad everything went smoothly especially since I was dreading going back out into the 100+ degree heat.

My favorite part of summer is spending time with my daughters at Igo Library. They have fantastic free events planned all summer long for kids of different ages. We can sit back and read our books outside in nature or inside in the AC when it’s just too hot. The branch is always very well organized and the staff is always willing to help. I love how excited my girls get on library day. We’re lucky to have this great spot right down the street from us.

Always friendly and helpful. Best library, staff wise, in San Antonio. We love the children's section too.

I, personally, have never experienced the problems mentioned in some of the less stellar reviews I just read. The staff always seems to be friendly, responsive and helpful. Many of the issues mentioned by others are out of this (or any other branch’s) control. Floor space, staffing numbers and many amenities are strictly controlled by city budget constraints. Contact your Commissioner if you would like to see improvements. Also, I’m sure the Library has to abide by occupancy limits like any other public building, thus the very popular children’s activities might have to turn folks away sometimes. They don’t enjoy having to do that. Did you know that many of the activities, supplies for said, other perks and exterior improvements are funded by The Friends of the Igo Library? Support them by joining them, making a donation or attending one of their book sales.

It is amazing. There are tonnes of books for any and all people, nice sections in which to enjoy your preferred background noise (be they silent, low rumble, or full blown shouting match), and an amazing park right behind where you can wander, relax, and avoid work.

A super nice staff member helped me with something I needed a copy of for the VITAS tax assistance taking place on-site today.
