My son attended Liberty and he is now doing very well in college. My daughter is an 8th grader and has had a wonderful experience at this school. She has the best band director and choir director in the state! She is in all AP classes and is being challenged by teachers who know her well. The principal is top notch. I teach at the college level and I have great respect for the teachers who work with these young teens. I am very proud that my kids have gone to this school!

I have three children and all three have gone to Liberty Jr. High, my 3rd child is a current 8th grader. I have found this to be an excellent school, my children are in the AP classes, Athletics, Band and Spanish. The teachers challenge the students, let me know if there are any problems and always respond to emails about my child.

The Counselors are helpful and I've never seen a more engaged Principal. Principal Q knows these children, even with 700 students in just two grades, he meets them talks to them, handles hall duty at every bell and makes sure the children know who is in charge, what the rules are and the consequences for breaking them.

The extracurricular programs are fantastic, a growing Choir, a band program that is top in the state, a jazz band in Jr. High, a guitar club and fun in Athletics.

I highly recommend this Neighborhood Jr. High. Come visit us at our next Open House - Spotlight on Liberty with your child and see our school in action, meet the students, see them perform, meet teachers and parents and see why we love LJH!

Zero turnover in the faculty last year.
Principal is respected by students and staff alike. This school is a hidden gem that impresses everyone that pays attention. Environment in the class room and hallways is better than average. Test scores and attendance speak for themselves. Look again, folks. This LJH is doing things right.

My niece goes to LJH,what I see is the school has AMAZING teachers, you can't say anything about them if you have no experience, don't say something that you don't even really know about. They have an amazing band, choir, orchestra, and everything about LJH is unique.so if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all.

I Have something to say to WANNABEAGAMER! you're a student aren't you? a bad one. thats why you wrote that. And all school need you to pay 15 dollars.Plus you shouldn't be doing anything with your phone without permission. Btw about the last sentence you said. I'M NOT A BOT YOU IDIOT. VOUS ETES STUPIDE. LOOK IT UP IN FRENCH!

This school has gotten worse throughout the years. I went there a few years ago and if it wasn't for the TEACHERS I don't know how I could have eventually graduated. I can say that for many of my former school mates. The principals however, were no help!! They didn't do much to help bullying. I thankfully didn't have to deal with much of the bullies. My fellow classmates, not so lucky. They weren't very involved in what the students did. Now my little sister goes there, and she CONSTANTLY has been dealing with bullies! She was attacked by another girl in the restroom and all the other girls recorded it. No one helped! They probably wouldn't of have even found out about it if my family wouldn't of reported it! The principal of course was of no help! The bullying continued. Now my sister is dealing with another bully, a boy this time. My sister knows nothing of the kid, never spoke to him, he just randomly started hitting her. He sees her in the hallways and punches her as he passes by. My family already reported this MANY times, and they have done nothing to stop it!! Don't bother enrolling your kids here! I'm positive that there are better choices out there.

This school is 100 percent crap don't bother enrolling your child here my child didn't learn nothing in this school year. he didn't learn anything in Math,Science,Spanish, And i know this isn't my child's fault because once i started teaching my child myself he understood it 100%. And i been told by my child that Drugs,Smoking , Bullies,Fights etc are happening in this school and there's no teacher/staff taking care of it so why bother don't go to this school ever.

This is last school I was at before being sent to Berkner Highschool. Before coming here for the eighth year I was sent to Lake Highlands Junior High for seventh grade as a Special Education student. Was sent here because they had Special Education program and department. One of my bullies was sent here because helped near the school.

The classroom we were in was the defunct carpentry class that was cancelled. Very large room, with a foot-pressable sink and near the cafeteria and gym and loading dock area with it being an exit to the room. Like most rooms I've been in over the years it was still in a less populated classroom.

The teachers we've had that time was a capable teacher who couldn't the strain she sustained and an aide who tried her best. The students in the classroom composed of the bully from seventh grade, a bully who came in the middle of the year and was friends with the previous who acts like a brat, another bully who took joy in messing with me in particular, a female student who came in the middle of the year and a male student who didn't care about anything.

Most of the students were on the bus except the first two. My interactions with all of the students were negative and regressing and rarely positive. Like my time in the other schools, there was a general of direction and personal development for most of their students. Most of it was basically students being jerks to each other. The teacher couldn't handle the massive amounts of jerkiness everyone spewed out to each other and herself.

I was particularly going through some sort of phase like the many times a victim of bullying and then a bully and bullied again. I transitioned into a more submissive nice guy with jerks tendencies after getting mind-raped by a dream during seventh grade over a certain issue. Though, the transition harmed my mental state to the point I became a fan of Hitler's actions during the school year when Hitler's history was discussed in class. Then I started becoming a attention seeker and giant.. "goof" which came from seventh grade and my time with Lake Highlands.

Like the usual, the classes were modified and watered down i educational quality due to the status. This time around the classes were picked for me except for two classes. The classes that were forced on me were mostly confined in one special hallway for the special education or modified courses for students having a hard time learning. Though, some of the classes were confined in that defunct carpentry room.

I didn't make very much progress considering that the Special Education classroom was filled with crazies and not-so-normal people. The bully form seventh grade made so much progress that he got out of the Special Education Program and shoved his newfound freedom in front of my face and mocked me. He basically stunted my growth to a near stop as a human being afterwards even though we've been with each other in a different school and the year before.

His friend enjoyed being a jerk and joined on the fun. It's very a biased viewpoint but it did happen.

I've been very friendless during my time as a Special Education Student here. The staff here is nonetheless okay.

The rating stamped here is mainly personal grudges and experiences. Still bit angsty about being friendless during all of those years.
