Trucker's Cafe

First time visiting. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh everything was delicious. I had the barbecue ribs with there homemade sauce. Mash potatoes, macaroni cheese cornbread and sample some turnup green gumbo. People y’all don’t hear me. Off the chain.

Trucker's Cafe was one of the black owned soul food restaurants on my food bucket list. They definitely didn't disappoint. They allow you to sample the food before you purchase to see if it's to your liking. My country roots came out today!

I ordered a meatloaf meal with broccoli and macaroni and cheese. I also ordered two fried chicken wings. The food was OK. The service was great! I will go back and try a different dish.

Yesterday was my first time coming back here in a few years since, I moved out of state. This is one of my favorite places to get the Jumbo Jive Turkey Burger. 💜 Ms. Paulette moved to a new location and this is a very nice restaurant. They were out of turkey so, I ordered the Mack Truck burger with mayo, ketchup and mustard with lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon and a side of fried okra. My sister order off of the lunch selection of foods and we ordered the Fat Catfish plate to share. I got the mixed kool-aid of blue raspberry and fruit punch.
The food is still absolutely delicious and cooked fresh to order. I always come here when, I'm in town. I would highly recommend coming here to eat. the food is the best. 💜💜

I went back for lunch on Sunday and ordered the Jive Turkey Burger with fried cabbage on the side. I'm including those pictures. It was hot and delicious.

Delicious food. Large portions. Great customer service. I found this place delivering for uber. It smelled delicious but the reviews had me a bit worried, so it took a friend of mine asking if there was a soulfood place that I've been wanting to try to make the leap. It's one of those places that you can point to what you want, so immediately I was a bit overwhelmed because the place was smelling right, and EVERYTHING was looking delicious. After a couple of minutes, watching me with big eyes and a bit of drool in the corner of my mouth, the kind lady behind the counter asked me what I'd like and I told her it all looked good, and she said I could sample anything to help with my decision...I didn't need to sample too much before I decided on the ribs, fried Cabbage and yams. They've got something with that sauce and the yams were soooo good. Don't let the other reviews deterr you from some of the best soul food out there yall. I'll definately be going back!

First time coming to Truckers the owner Greet me even let me take a picture with her the food was outstanding seasoned to perfection......

I have ordered here a couple of times and they never disappoint! They are so good, they some times run out of certain sides! I really hope the community continues to support this mom and pops spot because their food is heaven sent!

I just moved to Dallas from South Carolina and needed some soul food because I’m missing home. I found this place and it is so good! The best turkey wings I’ve ever had. Please eat here!

It was a late start but the salads we got there were just so delicious. Next time we will try something different from there. Everything smelled so good. And the dip

Patience IS DEFINITELY a virtue, cause the food IS ALWAYS good, I’m sorry: DELICIOUS 😋😋😋 I’ve been eating from this place for yrs & I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. They’re known for their HUGE/Humungous salads & their hamburger called: The Mac. Check them out if out in the area & support small black owned businesses!!

My 1st try!!! I’m hooked the neck bones were seasoned to perfection!!! The fried cabbage was amazing very flavorful an tender, those pig feets were banging!! I’m a southern gal from South Carolina an man this took me all the way home 😊 and the cornbread ooh it’s melts in your mouth and not ur hand 🤣🤣🤣🤭🤤

Great food! Great service! Amazing koolaid! I will be sure to get back there when I come back to Dallas. I needed a fat girl nap after all that food they gave me LAWD!

Pot Roast so tender and flavorful. Okra and tomatoes and green beans were top notch. Well worth the drive!

I met a friend here for lunch today. The restaurant was not busy today, but I am sure it is just because they are still quite new.

They have a menu with good variety, but not so much that you can’t make a quick decision on what to eat.

I had the Beef Shawarma lunch special. The meat was nicely spiced, very fresh. As my sides I chose hummus (also very good) and the lentil soup. Everything had great flavor.

The portion was the perfect size for lunch. You can go back to work without feeling too sleepy.

We also had a piece of one of their homemade desserts- our waiter said it was made by his mother. Very delicious and not overly sweet as some other middle eastern desserts can be.

I wish this place the best of luck in establishing itself.

Well worth the trip. I had a Have Mercy salad and the broccoli with mac n cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection. I will be going back for sure. I am looking forward to trying more items on the menu. Servings were more than enough and the wait was a little long. Anything worth having is worth waiting for and I would wait again and again to be treated to meal at Trucker's Cafe.

Lots of packed greens, toppings...red onion, bacon, banana peppers, tomatoes, cheese, and hard boiled egg. Perfectly seasoned and grilled salmon and shrimp. I was full from eating half. Friendly service.

Love the food more important I love how the owner shuts the store down for the homeless to eat.......I wish I could give 10 stars for the good food and more important good spirited folks that serve you.....God bless you all for the love you show people

This is soul food in Richardson, TX. I had the ribs and they were sweet & spicy - some of the best sauce I've ever had. And they're not stingy; she loaded my plate with three giant ribs, a very generous scoop of macaroni, and steamed veggies. Although, a bit pricey for lunch at $15.99, the food was excellent. Compliments to the staff!

The meals are a bit pricey, so be prepared. They had no issue honoring my Groupon either. The workers are friendly and the portions are VERY filling and hearty. They do not skip out. Thank you for a great meal ladies.
