Porschea Dixson does an AMAZING job! I don't let just anybody in my hair, but she is very knowledgable, patient and funny! And did I mention patient? It takes 6+ hours to do a silk press because of my hair's texture and density, but she is so gentle with my strands. And there was no heat damage! My curls popped right back into shape. :)

Took my daughter to get her straightened and trimmed for the first time professionally. Onna was patient and didn't seemed bothered; being that my daughter is 5 and kept moving all over the place. We will definitely be back. Its hard to find a beauty salon who will take kids that young. Wonderful job and her hair was NOT heat damaged!

First time visiting, I am pleased with the services and the outcome of my natural hair. My stylist talked me through the entire process and shared the recommended procedures & products to care for my hair in between appointments.

My stylist, Lakresha, did such an amazing job. I was greeted by her as soon as I walked through the door and went straight back to her chair. She explained the whole natural hair process, informed me of the products being used, and the services I would receive in detail from shampooing & conditioning to detangling to steaming and blow drying, trimming, and styling. She was very knowledgeable, kind, personable and most of all gentle. My hair has never felt or looked this soft. Today I had my second visit with Porschea D. and as expected, the service was impeccable. First off, I made the decision to come back to her, after my first visit, because I loved how my hair felt and how manageable it was after I left her hands. I’ve been natural for 6 years and no one has touched my hair but me. However, Porschea took her time to coach me about hair care and procedures, all while she walked me through her process of doing my hair. It was such a great experience; I HAD to come back to her! Today, I didn’t get a silk press, as I had my first visit. However, it was great to know that she still took the same care, dedication, and patience for the under-care package. I will be scheduling my next 3 month appt!!

They don't just DO your hair. Keya did my hair. She educated me on what to do to obtain my hair goals. She even recommend products for my hair and gave me upkeep instructions. The whole brand is the BOMB! I love my hair Keya. Thank you again!

Lakresha was absolutely amazing and gave a lot of knowledge on how to care for my hair. She gave good suggestions on how to care for my hair in between cuts. I loved her personality and will definitely be coming back so she can style my hair.

It was a great 1st experience. I absolutely love how this salon caters to natural hair. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable of the products. In addition, the staff does a great job explaining the client's hair and why certain products should or shouldn't be used.

The shop is very nice and earthy. It gives an organic vibe. I wish they had a juice bar 😂😂 but wine is always good. I absolutely love it here!

I have been going to the Dallas location for almost a year. I’ve had the pleasure of Porschea being my my stylist. When I first went to the salon my hair was damaged and I had to have it cut. However, after following the guidelines given, my hair is flourishing. Porschea is amazing. She pays attention to her client’s needs. The service is excellent. You're greeted as soon as you walk in the door. You're served something to drink right away and I never have to wait long for my appointment. My stylist is usually right on time. She is phenomenal! She Takes so much time to discuss with me any concerns or questions I have about my hair. She gives me tips and ideas about what would look good vs what’s healthy for my hair. I am 34 years old and spent my whole life not knowing how to detangle my own hair. Stephanie and LaShay were so gentle while one on one teaching me about my hair. I thank y’all for empowering me to take care of my natural hair during this natural hair journey!

Keep in mind, for your hair to grow to new lengths, you may have to do new things. If you want your old look and to keep your old ways, you mat want to keep your old stylist. You've been warned! :)

If you can't book Whitney, LaChay is great as well. Ashley has happy clients and I've seen her work. Keya does a fantastic shampoo (the scalp massage was on point) and her books are open as well.

Now, the results alone are a good enough reason to book, but it's bigger than hair.

The popularity of the salon and the client list has grown tremendously since my first appointment. It's been amazing to see how the brand has grown. I love knowing that my appointment is an investment in myself and in another black female entrepreneurs with a heart for teaching women how to care for and love their natural hair.

I contacted Her Growing Hands and was able to get a last minute appointment, at their Frisco location. I’m new to the area so I have been looking for a stylist. They booked me in with Ashlyn and I was sceptical because I couldn’t find any reviews on her. Well, I was not disappointed, she educated me on my hair, outlined the plan for my hair journey for the next 6 months and explained every step of the process she was taking with my hair. I am terrible at caring for my hair, she made me feel comfortable and gave me great feedback. I left loving my hair. I got a cut and color and was pleased with both. The entire team was so helpful, the assistants, Whitney the hair guru was with her own clients but still took the time to consult with me as well. I was very pleased with my experience. I took my 6 year old daughter to Dre for a trim and consultation and I am so glad I came here. She was very professional and knowledgeable about my daughter's hair and made me feel confident in caring for it at home. All the stylists were professional and this was by far the best salon experience I have ever had. Will definitely be returning!

Porschea was great from the beginning to the end. She explained the products that was being used and what they would do for my hair, She was very concerned in making sure my hair would be back on on the growing path. My hair had so much body,bounce and shine once she was finished all i could do was inform her that i found my new stylist and salon. I informed her that i would be recommending her and this salon to a lot of ladies that are in need of a healthy hair regimen. The entire staff was very friendly and professional.

I had my first appointment a few weeks ago and CiCi did great. She asked questions, valued my opinions, and educated me thoroughly. When I first arrived I wait a little because the lady before me came to her appointment wanting her hair took down and it was horribly tangled. Sometimes the stylist have no idea what is going to walk through the door, and that can throw them off schedule. I was given a call before I got there to let me know that she was running behind. I thought that was very considerate. I actually booked two appointments before leaving.

Two words: juice box. Get into their product line for natural hair, my mane is growing and I’ve never even seen any of their stylists. Just using their products alone for 2 months and my hair loves them - im using the juice box product line on my niece and her hair is growing too, finally a program or regimen that works (hydration life).
Don’t recommend their satin line of head wear, ALL 4 of the silken satin caps and bonnet’s internal stretchies burst at the seams- they took them back, which was good, but even the ones with ties broke with delicate handling. 🤷🏽‍♀
