Schattenbol at DeCock Farm

We went over this past weekend to enjoy good music in a good environment. The people are so friendly and cheerful. We enjoyed the music of Juanski throughout the night. He played anything from George Stait, to Bon Jovi and Tom Petty. I have to admit, it wasn’t packed like other times we’ve gone, but we still managed to have a great time. We’re always going to make it a point to come over whenever possible for date nights.

There is a farm market—Decocks Farm. Every third Saturday of month, 9a-2pm. Organic veggies, eggs, honey. Great goodies. Friendly people. No food trucks on that day. Maybe come back in the future.

I really enjoyed my first trip to Castroville's Schattenbol at DeCock Farm today during their Farmer's Market event. Their parking setup in the front, back and to the side of their facilities were accommodating. Handicap and Veteran parking were next to the entrance. I enjoyed interacting with the bartenders and met the owner, Maureen (popular lady). I noticed that their food orders came out quickly when I was sitting at the bar and I enjoyed the extra food/coffee trucks that were available. I, myself, enjoyed the mini tacos 🌮. Their Farmer's Market was what you expected one to be and the atmosphere was very family orientated. Santa and the Grinch were even in attendance to entertain the children. Overall, it was a great first impression and I enjoyed the laid back small town feel. It was a nice break from the busy city, San Antonio living. Highly recommend y'all check it out!

Love this place! Whether a day market during the 3rd Saturday, or a nice evening having a drink enjoying live music. Just a great local place to go.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month is a Farmers Market. Artisnal greatness is present with many vendors displaying their hard work and passion. Alamo City Kettle Corn is always on point. Everyone must jot down this date every month and attend. Everything from jewelry, plants, pottery, baked goods, honey and jams, farm fresh produce, and my favorite, grass fed beef and pasture raised chickens for those who want quality meats.

It was our first time to visit, and although it was almost 100°, we still had a great time. Awesome family-friendly outside venue with food, music, games, and plenty of room for the kids to play. Plus, they have handheld fans you can get from the bar to help with the heat. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add those mister fans because it's south Texas and the heat is inevitable.

It's a good chill place. They're only open evenings on Thursday-Sunday. They're been posting a lot of events to get people coming and it's been working. They've got an array of food and bar bites with a German flair. There is covered and outdoor seating. It's good for locals and folks looking to be outside on the countryside.

My neice had her graduation party there. It is very rustic but with all the necessary conveniences. Full kitchen. Large fans to keep the breeze moving. Our event was catered and had a dj. They have an open to the public bar, which was a surprise. Call for hours, but I think the bar is open Thursday thru Saturday

My church had our spring picnic here. It was a fantastic venue. They provided both inside and outside tables and seating. Kelly, they're event coordinator, was amazing. She really cater to all of our needs and her hospitality was outstanding.

Very friendly staff, relaxing views, fun for kids. Good eats. Wasnt able to stay for the live music but cover was only going to be $5.

Fantastic little farm/venue/bar/restaurant. Great ambiance, well manicured and cared for. Staff was very welcoming. 13/10 will return and will recommend it as a venue for concerts.
