Banging chicken you gotta stop here. Mac and cheese is from a different planet and the Philly cheese steak is delectable. Its like a way way better chick filla with some more options

My only complaint is it's not open more open, by far one of my favorite places to get breakfast/brunch in town! Also, some of the best chicken/breakfast food in town!!

Stopped by for a midweek lunch.  We had originally stopped on the previous Friday but they were closed due to some water issue from an upstairs apartment.  There is not a lot of seating inside.  I think there are about 7-8 tables with some of them able to seat four people and other some four people.  We noticed they did a good amount of carry-out while we were there.  Parking was a bit of a challenge as all I saw was street metered parking $1 per hour.  The Dirty Bird is also located on a one-way street and there are other one-way streets in the area as well.  We parked on Walnut Street which is just past the eatery, we turned right and parked on the left side as this is a one-way street as well.  This place gets fresh chicken delivered every day and they advertise that it is halal as well.  Please know the hours they are opened can be affected by the number of people who come in on a particular day.  They close once they run out of chicken.  Pretty sure most items are cooked to order so it can take a little while for your order to come up. Our visit lasted one hour and twenty minutes.  We got a four-piece fried chicken and a Dirty Bird chicken sandwich.  The fried chicken was lightly breaded and tasted good but the Dirty Bird was fabulous.  It had two thick chicken breasts which were breaded on a biscuit.  It has brown gravy, and egg, bacon, cheddar cheese and sausage gravy on it.  The sausage gravy was excellent and the cheddar cheese was great on it as well.  The picture I posted with this review says it all.  If you are a first timer then know that you order at the counter and they will bring it to you when it is ready.  There are some menus at the counter to look at before ordering and they do a pretty good job of cooking the orders in the order they receive them so you can feel a bit rushed if there is a line.  Even more so if you are by yourself and want to eat inside, especially, if there is a table open when you arrive.  This is the first place I have been to in a long time where the food was topnotch and everything went smoothly.  Would I go again?  Absolutely!  How far would I go out of my way? 1 hour (maybe a little further)

Fried chicken 🍗 cooked to order crispy and delicious. Husband had Nashville Hot chicken and I had a turkey treason sandwich. My sandwich was excellent- piled high oven roasted turkey, Swiss, bacon and cranberry mayo. Mac and Cheese for my daughter with bacon. Everything was delicious.

Dirty Bird was amazing! Wasn't expecting much, and it exceeded those expectations. Each sandwich could definitely feed two people - the staff was also friendly, the atmosphere great, I love the art of famous chicken places in the area - will definitely be coming back if I'm in town again - it's definitely worthy of a michelin star for the road food edition, worth a detour!

The fried chicken is delicious! The staff is so friendly and kind. When we were there it was packed but we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. The only downside is how tiny the dinning area is. Its completely worth waiting for a table.

Super friendly staff and delicious fried chicken! And it is Halal 🐔!!! Very generous portion sizes and great value. And the fries were yummy too!

The best chicken sandwich hands down in Morgantown. Been eating here for 10 years and they never disappoint!!

You better come hungry, and not be in a hurry. These sandwiches are made to order, and boy are they good. Bring your appetite, and maybe someone to share it with. I had the Hot Betty, which is two large 1/2 breasts of chicken, seasoned to perfection, with all the fixin's. You will not walk away hungry. There are at least 20 sandwiches on this menu, one for every taste, you will not be disappointed!!

A must-stop if you're in Morgantown...heck, even if you're not, it's worth the drive. On my first visit, I got the Monty Ray, the most enormous, tasty turkey sandwich I've ever laid eyes on. On my next visit, I tried the Hot Veronica, and it was just as mind-blowing. Quite a bit more sloppy than the Monty Ray, but there are napkins on the table for a reason! I've made a solemn vow to taste the whole menu.

This is Absolutely The Best Chicken I have ever ate. Dirty Rice and Mac and Cheese were Amazing. This a Must Eat

One of the best chicken places around. Definitely recommend Hot Betty and Sliders. Makes the drive worth everytime I am visiting Morgantown.

I used to eat here once a week minimum. Haven’t been here since I graduated in 2015 I must admit I still think about this place often. Some of the best chicken sandwiches and fried chicken I’ve ever had. I look forward to the day when I am able to indulge in the greatness that is crafted here again.

Great food. And plenty of it. The bun was firm but soft and held the juicy chicken, pickles and cheese. The fries were crispy. Delicious.

Every item on the menu is somebody's favorite.
2 piece box Mac and cheese (best mac in town) are always my go to. They have a great Steak sandwich as well. Best chicken in the area.

When I walked down high street with a black hole a'growing in my whittle tummy I thought, "I've been a good boy lately I need to treat myself to a big juicy borgor and a cup of cold cream."

WRONG!

Instead I filled my mouth and stomach and throat with smashed potato, flaky butter bread and of course crispy chicken loaf.

I love this place and I recommend it to everyone who has a pulse.

Mom and Pops type of restaurant. Food and service was good! Be prepared to wait a few minutes during busy hours.
