Volcano Japanese Restaurant

We loved this place. My husband had the sushi dinner which came with a salad and miso soup. I had a seafood noodle dish. All of the food was fresh, tasty and well prepared. The service was outstanding.

I absolutely love Volcano! I eat it 4-6 times a month and every time I am as impressed as last. The sushi is by far the best in Morgantown, and is a steal for the price point. The pearl roll is my favorite, and I genuinely think about it everyday!! 10/10 recommend Volcano for great service, fresh sushi, and a good atmosphere.

The environment seemed very friendly, the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The food is worth the price. The portions are a good size and are delicious. I had the SpiderMan, and Dream special sushi rolls and they were very delicious in my opinion.

I stayed in Morgantown for a few weeks and this was my favorite place to get food. I went there a lot haha as evidenced by all the photos that I posted. The staff are great and service is fast. The sushi is amazing my favorite is the dream roll (I posted a lot of pictures of it) I would definitely recommend this trying it out. I got takeout a few times and went for dine in a few other times and bit were great.

Best place in town to get sushi, you can tell every time you come in that the rolls were made with love and care. The servers are always timely and kind with a happy face on them. Even after years of not coming in they still recognize me and brought a smile to a tough end to my week. This will always be my favorite restaurant in town!

Have never had better sushi than here. I dearly miss this place and make trips as often as I can to come back and visit. Would highly recommend the dynamite and Friday night rolls! The special roll combo is by far one of the best deals I’ve ever found at a sushi place! Everything about this place is AMAZING. If you haven’t been, you’re really missing out.

Drove down from Washington, Pennsylvania to eat here. Cozy place, only saw the front room.
We went during lunch and ordered the Lunch Box, which included a choice of specialty roll, kichen menu, and sushi. You choose 2 and it comes with soup and salad. The salad was that typical iceburg lettuce with that soy ginger sauce on it. Not my favorite.
The sushi and the specialty rolls were very good and the service was fast and efficient.

Great food, polite service, and comfortable atmosphere. The meal started with cucumber salad and ended with cheesecake. So much fun! I like that the sushi bar is at the front, so you can watch your sushi being made. I was impressed with the presentation of the food. Very aesthetically pleasing. I'll definitely be back.

THIS PLACE ROCKS! Best sushi in town. The atmosphere is perfect. Bring a friend, date, parents, whoever. You will NOT be disappointed. Also the dessert is worth it I've had two different types and both were to die for!! I'll be back no doubt

Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants that I've dined in. The food was very fresh and tasted amazing. The chicken yakisoba here is my favorite I've had before.

Overall, the place was clean and the staff was great. Highly recommend and we will be back!

They have a lot of unique choices! The sushi is always good, seems to made with fresh, quality ingredients. Pretty inexpensive compared to other sushi places in town. Nice for a quick date on a weeknight or for inexpensive but healthy take out on nights I don't have time to make dinner. Definitely the best for the price you pay and the decor inside is pleasant. Not my favorite place to get sushi, but it is good and deserves all 5 stars.

I absolutely adore Volcano, they're my favorite place in town to get sushi. I always get the Sunset roll, but all of their fish is high quality, their service is excellent, and the atmosphere is great. I recommend Volcano to people who come into town often!

The “Tree” roll is a vegan delight! I love the crispy tofu and avocado combo. I always get it with a side of edamame. This order is vegan as-is, so no worries about modification. The staff is so sweet and warm!

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in morgantown. I shed actual tears because I was convinced there were no good sushi places in WV. Thank you for proving me wrong. Really upset about the tip though. Thought it was included and its not. Will over tip next time for sure.

I really like volcano because it is consistent with good food and good service. I typically only come here for the rolls, and my favorite is the Pink Dragon. I appreciate the little extras they provide like the cucumber salad/palate cleanser they serve when you first sit down (pictured).

Today I tried their lunch boxes which are $8.55 for your choice of two rolls (or fresh fish or kitchen items) and also comes with rice, soup, salad, and two little dumplingish things. I was really pleased for the amount you get for the price - all the photos are what were included in the lunch.

I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Rolls are expensive for what they are, but Volcano isn't any higher priced than any other place I've been to here in Morgantown. Check this place out!

Delicious food, I got the lunchbox with a California Roll & another Roll, I can't remember the name of it. It had the word "stone" in it, also it was deep fried. Delicious!

One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. I ordered the sushi dinner and volcano roll. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent, will definitely be coming back!

Sushi was good, similar prices to other restaurants, and our waiter was hilarious. He definitely made our meal great! The spicy tuna was actually spicy which is rare nowadays. Shrimp tempura had a great flavor. The sunset roll was sooo good, but big and hard to eat in one bite. Also, there was a rly cool bubble wall.

I love nabe yaki udon, but I don't always love how different restaurants prepare it. This one did a great job! Plus, they provide a palate cleanser (sliced cucumber in some kind of sauce/brine) before AND after your meal (half a sliced orange). I had a wonderful time and look forward to going again!
