Sweet Home Food Bar

The place is nice and the food is delicious. Walk around the corner from the busy place and come here. Lindsey was our server and she was great with our party of 10. We ordered kids silver dollar pancakes, Bacon, but wer were given turkey bacon, breakfast nachos, which were delicious, chicken and waffles, they were good, chicken and biscuits were good too, 2 burgers, they were moist and seasoned well, and the breakfast bowl and it was good too. Everything was hot and delicious. We will definitely come again.

A cute hidden gem! We loved the whole vibe of this place! The service was fantastic, felt like being in someone's home. Everything was delicious and large portions. The appetizers could be a meal all alone. We loved the arancini, truffle parmesan chips and fried green tomatoes. And an inside out smores... who doesn't love smores!

Wow! Here on a college tour of University of Alabama. Came here since they have a diverse lunch menu. Food was excellent, and staff was friendly and fast! Will definitely come here again next time we’re in Tuscaloosa. Sorry we took pictures after we started

the food was delicious! i really like the portion size, it's not an insane amount of food but it's not tiny either. the atmosphere is very unique and i love the art on the walls! staff are very friendly as well. 100% recommend trying

This place was a wonderfully yummy surprise. We had the fried green tomatoes, which were crispy and delicious and then main courses were - Nashville hot chicken was delicious especially when you got to the hot Texas toast layer - Thai steak noodles were so yummy and they caught a mistake of over cooked steak and let us know and she sent the meal back until it was right - Butter squash ravioli was so tender and delicious. The service was excellent. Love this little gem.

This was a really Great experience. The food is just a little pricey, BUT, well worth it. The atmosphere was very inviting, and the server was very attentive and interactive. I will be returning. Those fries were to die for. Most visitor will probably need a "to go" plate as the quantity of food rivals the quality. I highly recommend this place

Great couple. What a friendly, comfy, sophisticated venue! I truly enjoy the food and the love you taste from the sweet owners! We stumbled upon Wednesday Wine night and it was such a pleasure! If I was in Tuscaloosa more often, it would definitely be a weekly occurrence! The only picture I have is the one from a to-go order, but you will not be disappointed! Extremely service friendly!

Breakfast was awesome! The goat cheese complimented the omelette. The interior design was neat too. Very unique!

Amazing food and staff. If the lasagna is on the menu, I highly recommend it. The sauce is fantastic and has a wonderful touch of heat. I can honestly say it's the best I've tasted. Draft beer prices are amazing. A truly wonderful dining experience. We will stop here every time we pass through Tuscaloosa.

Absolutely loved my experience here tonight! The food was delicious! I ordered the meat, cheese and fruit tray with gluten free rice crackers. George came out and talked with me since I have celiac and can not have gluten at all. They have a completely separate prep area in the kitchen and use separate dishes for gluten free customers. They also have gluten free pasta for the pasta dishes. They can do the fried green tomatoes gluten free as well and I am definitely planning on trying that next time I go!

I just happened upon Sweet Home Food Bar last week while taking a walk in Tuscaloosa. The service was excellent. The food was superb. Sharon warmly welcomed me and took my order. She was personable and efficient in a busy restaurant. My food came hot, and delicious. The owner also came out to check if I needed anything. Very pleasant eating experience. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of dinning in at this establishment yesterday and ever since we left we’ve both randomly brought up how amazing the food was and how great the service was. I ordered an appetizer (fries with cheese and bacon) and my boyfriend ordered the chicken and dumplings (gnocchi style). Both of our meals were delicious!! We WILL most definitely be going back.

Had a meeting in downtown Tuscaloosa, afterwards needed a lunch. Sweet Home Food was nearby; ordered the Mediterranean salad. The service was efficient, the the food served in short time, and the food was fresh prepared right and tasted yummy. I will be back.

Sweet Home Food Bar is incredible. They serve some delicious gourmet sandwiches and the price is very reasonable. One of my favorite places to eat in all of Tuscaloosa. They have great breakfast foods too. BACON? ABSOLUTELY!

We came in at 10:30, meeting friends in town from NYC. The food was simply awesome. Three orders of pancakes and one “Breakfast Nachos.” The pancake eaters devoured their portions before I could even ask how they were. My nachos were equal parts interesting, delicious and fun.the room has a great small town downtown feel and it would be great for just about any smallish gathering.

Kaylynn was are server and made our experience unforgettable. 10/10 would recommend to everyone visiting Tuscaloosa.
