We visited on a Sunday at noon, around 12:30, and were promptly seated. Our orders were placed shortly after being seated. However, the stuffed mushroom appetizer took more than half an hour to be prepared. The service felt slightly slow, likely due to the high volume of customers at that time. Nevertheless, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed our dining experience overall.

Remember - when traveling to T-town, try something different - dine (and shop) local! There's an Olive Garden near you, but not a DePalma Cafe We had a great meal. Place was a hoppin' after the A-Day 2024 game. They did very well. Waited about 30 mins for a table (6). Service was great - food fantastic. No disappointment here.

Fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. This place is one of my favorite restaurants in Tuscaloosa! Great food and it’s consistently good. It’s one of my favorite all time Italian restaurants hands down! You have to get the bread pudding and the pasta Deplama is fantastic with sausage and artichokes. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quaint. If you’re stopping into Tuscaloosa for a game, you will be pleased!

The food was amazing! Being a country girl, I was not sure if I would like it, but it was beyond expectations! Our waitress was personable and helped us to navigate the expansive menu! The cafe is rather tight in space but would bring my family! The finale was the White chocolate bread pudding!! Delicious!

Fabulous Service. Delicious meals. Wonderful Atmosphere. It was crowded but we could see why after we ate! We had the Pizzarotti and the Stuffed Mushrooms for appetizers, both were full of flavor! I had the Pasta DePalma with Chicken, such large portions. We had the cannoli's (regular and chocolate) & tiramisu for dessert, all three were delicious.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in a while. We now try to come here twice a month. Worth the wait! Fresh ingredients and lots of flavor.

Lunch was at DePalma's. I tried something different. The antipasti salad with grilled Atlantic salmon added. The salad comes with proscuitto, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, Mediterranean olives, and mozzarella on romaine lettuce. The salad is twelve dollars. Ten more with the salmon. I asked to leave the proscuitto off. I also asked about the creamy gorgonzola dressing and was promptly brought a sample to taste. Normally, I get the basalmic vinaigrette, which is out of this world. The creamy gorgonzola was epic. Unreal flavor combinations in this salad. Everything was fresh. The mozzarella, exactly right. A perfect meal.

Get the Mediterranean pasta, add salmon and sub out for the spinach fettuccine. You won’t regret it!! I’ve been coming here to eat since I was a kid (I’m 36 now) and the food, atmosphere and service has always and is always fantastic. One of my favorite date night spots in Tuscaloosa. The baked feta is one of the best!!

Pro tip - come during the week and not the weekend. And never, ever try to eat there during a football weekend!

I truly don't know if there was anything we didn't like - ITS A VIBE just go! Try it all (Emma's fav was hands down the best thing ever - stuffed shells but with alfredo the dish felt like a meal I would never get tired of ahhh!!! By now I hope you get the point 🤣

The pecan crusted salmon was excellent and the service was great. Thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of the meal.

Consistently good food and great service. Can be a very crowded place with a wait time so plan accordingly. Food is always freshly made with fantastic flavors so worth the wait in my opinion. Homemade pasta, sauces, salad dressings and high quality ingredients used to make everything. Great place.

One of our favorite local spots! This place can be very hard to get into. Especially on the weekends, there can easily be a two hour wait…but it’s worth it. They don’t ever take reservations. On our most recent trip, my husband ordered to make your own pasta dish with angel hair pasta Bolognese sauce and a side of Italian sausage (he is pure carnivore). I had the Palermo Calzoni which was AMAZING. During previous visits, I have frequently ordered the mushroom ravioli, which is to die for. Service is really good… Very attentive, but laid-back at the same time. To palmers is pure Tuscaloosa.!!

The calzone is a steal for $10 and really delicious with the good marinara.

The pasta is fresh and tasty but their Alfredo isn't as good as the marinara with a big portion of pasta enough to split for dinner

Waiter was attentive and friendly. Food was cooked perfectly and fresh. We went there on a Saturday at about 4:45 p.m., and we were seated immediately. Crowd tends to increase at about 5:30 p.m. DePalma's never disappoints. We had the Lobster Ravioli special, the Carnivore Lasagna special, and the Polermo Calzone as well as the Baked Feta. For dessert we had the bread pudding, which is melt in your mouth scrumptious. A Tuscaloosa favorite!

The dining area was cozy with wine bottles lining the walls and vintage pictures on the wall. The service was pleasant and the food was excellent. Portion sizes were generous but the real star was the bread pudding. The bread pudding was warm and delicious, I could come back just for that.

EXCELLENT: Our food, atmosphere and service was impeccable! U would highly recommend anyone visiting Tuscaloosa to dine at this fine T'town mainstay. Myself and my young adult daughters with a friend, ate here Wednesday night, 1/3, and we all enjoyed a wonderful experience. : )

My coworkers and I went there today and had an amazing experience. The place was packed and therefore our food took longer than expected. But definitely worth the wait! Our waiter was super nice and the food was amazing. Best part was the dessert!

This is the only good Italian restaurant in Tuscaloosa. I know people love the olive garden, and that's fine if you prefer frozen and reheated foods. This place cooks all their own stuff and it's fresh. I have eaten here hundreds of times in my life, and it has always been exceptionally good. I've only had a couple dishes that tasted a little bland to me, and a little table salt, pepper, parmigiano, and or red pepper flakes can fix that right up (which is why it's on the table). I know there can be a wait some times, but it's worth it.

I have never had an issue with service. Ever. I love that fact, because in Tuscaloosa, good customer service can be hard to find in the food industry.

From the outside design to the inside decor, everything about this place screams romantic. Yes the food is expensive, but from what I've experienced, it's totally worth every dime. I cannot wait to eat there again.
