Cypress Inn Pavilion

It was raining but the venue could be opened to experience the over the river views. Decor rugged with modern fixtures. Sound system needs to be updated. Lightening did set the tone and ambiance for the occasion.Double door entrances on both ends and movable partitions. Presentation of the food was beautiful. Some of the entrees were okay. Tea was not sweet at all. Guest asked for more packets of sugar. Over all staff was pleasant and courteous. Definitely suggest having events here rain, snow or sunshine. You can even walk out and have an intimate setting on the porch and walk along the river. Amazing photo ops! Oh restrooms were well maintained.

I always enjoy events at this venue. The location is beautiful, convenient, and atmosphere is top class. The food and service is great.

A Tuscaloosa classic and still as delicious as I remember! I recommend the Catfish and Gouda Grits- they were superb! Service is always impeccable and the view is great and lends to the refined, yet relaxed feeling of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Our food was delicious as always. I ordered the Cypress Inn Smoked Chicken with a bowl of gumbo and my wife ordered the fried catfish (lightly battered and not greasy) Everything came out very quickly and our server did a great job. I would recommend these two classic dishes to anyone visiting.

There for a wedding reception! It was so nice. Plenty of room and the setting by the Black Warrior River is beautiful! The food was great also!

I love this restaurant. Its been around a long time. The catfish fillets is my favorite, and you can sit by the river.

This place is an excellent and romantic place to eat by the beautiful river, and the service was great. The food was delicious and well crafted, and our server Lauren Jones was very efficient and served us well. We were just passing through town and thought this place looked fun and interesting and it sure was! Our toddler son also loved going down to the river and feeding the fish while we waited for the food to come to our table. A great medium casual, relatively inexpensive but beautiful restaurant!

Great view of the black warrior River and good food. Our server was great and very attentive. This was my only visit ever to Tuscaloosa and we chose a great place for lunch! Even got to see an Alligator pop his head up from underneath the water.

What a gorgeous view! Competent but not very warm wait staff. Food was good. My son loved the Prime Rib. I had the Shrimp and Angel Hair pasta which was tasty but too much water-pasta not drained enough. Gumbo was tasteless. Shrimp and Grits got rave reviews from my friend and our daughter loved the crab claws appeitizer. Very festive tonight with Prom dates all around!

Went for lunch on 4/14/18 and the food, service and view of the Black Warrior river was amazing. Had the fried green tomatoes appetizer and the fried shrimp with squash and mustard greens. It was all hot and delicious! And the roles and muffins served table side were outstanding!!

I have always enjoyed this restaurant. Pleasant location overlooking the river. Good service. And some pretty tasty dishes. House special is smoked chicken breast with white barbecue sauce. Ask for extra sauce. Love the cheese pie for dessert.

So I walk and in was promptly greater with a smile and a very warm treating. Once at our table our waitress greeted and took our drinks right away. Dinner was Great as well was the view. I would just like to say thank you and can't wait come back.

Visited this place after a friend suggested this a must dine while in Tuscaloosa. I must say, the recommendation didn't disappoint. They offer a sampler app, and I strongly recommend it, as it offers a lot of their main menu items. Their fried catfish is AMAZING, and their smoked chicken is very tasty too.

We really enjoyed our experience and the view. My fried shrimp was excellent and the peanut butter pie was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was great as well.
