Applebee's Grill + Bar

My friend treated me to lunch today. We haven't been to a Applebee's in a long time. The nearest location was inside of University Mall. It's on McFarland & Veterans Memorial Pkwy. The entrance is next to Belk's.
You have to go completely inside the mall next door to GNC in order to get inside. Our server was Christian. She was very nice, smiling, and efficient. She took our order right after we were seated. We went for the 2 for $25 special. There were plenty of options to choose from. You get one full-size appetizer or two side salads and two entrees. We chose the house salad instead of caesar, which had lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, and shredded cheddar cheese. It was fresh and delicious. Our entrees came five minutes later. She ordered the White cheddar bacon & chicken skillet. It had sliced grilled chicken breast in a parmesan and white cheddar cream sauce. Topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, crispy onions. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. She had no complaints with that one. I ordered the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Cajun seasoned chicken and blackened shrimp in a butter, garlic, and parsley sauce. Served with sautéed onions and mushrooms, with garlic mashed potatoes. It was equally delicious. The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The food was hot when it arrived. The meal was $30 since we didn't order anything to drink. We will definitely be coming back!

Was seated immediately(love tht). Waitress constantly checked on us.The food was hot and fresh. Enjoyed the all you can eat boneless wings. And the drinks could've been a lil stronger but other then tht definitely a great place to grab a quick bite!

Great place to take the family. Very friendly waiters and food is amazing and on time.

Our waiter made the evening very pleasant besides all else that was taking place around us. He really hustled making sure everyone was taken care of in his section of restaurant.

Came on a Friday night with family. It was 9 of us, and our server Caleb has an incredible memory because he didn't write anything down, but our order was CORRECT!! Food was delicious 😋 It's become my one of favorite spot!

We had a wonderful time. Food was great, timely and the drinks were delicious. Staff was prompt and curtious! The bartender was AWESOME!

I had family from out of town and they loved it / very pleasant! We all enjoyed it

It is always a great place to eat and hang out with friends and family members. The food and service is unmatched. You will be glad you stopped by.

Mannnn from the host to the waitress w/ the cooking staff on point. Had an amazing time. Was valentine's dinner an they didn't miss a beat.

We had lunch late afternoon. Food was good. Our server jay was great. He was very friendly and polite and was attentive.

The servers here are consistantly nice, not always the speediest even when the place is near empty - but courteous and good with my kids.

The food is good, but don't be afraid to point out any errors or issues.

And the food was very delicious. The staff was still very friendly at the end of the night when I came in. I will go back again.

Applebee’s in ttown is becoming more lively again. Manager and cook came and checked on us several times. The $5 margarita was okay. Our server Christian Williams was the sweetest. She checked on us and made sure we were alright.

Asked for a double cherry jolly because the dollar jollys were so delicious I accidentally drank my first one too quickly! It was busy during the SEC game so I didnt want to keep running them around getting me refills, and gladly they obliged! Excellent service! Pierre and Jalie were great! 10/10 would recommend! Also, the Apple jolly is just as good, but definitely try the cherry!!!

The food was delish and the $1 margaritas was amazing!! I ordered a quesadilla burger with french fries and my date ordered a classic bacon cheeseburger with french fries.

The workers was good n the foods was delicious 😋

I enjoy stopping in when my daughter & I are out doin some shopping& there lil to no wait time to be seated in my experiences. We both try different things when she was younger the chicken finger meal was her go to but she is now all about the different types of burgers. I myself love the Classic Bacon cheeseburger or mushroom Swiss burger waffle fries are amazing & we usually get cheese sticks as appetizers. The food is always good neither of us have had a bad meal & occasionally take home our leftovers. If I'm not driving & others are with us I suggest a quick stop at the bar to try one of their wonderful mixed drinks the server was kind & showed me many of the house cocktails if all are as good as one I had its wonderful. So between the wide variety of good food from great Pasta to very good Salads 🤤 even amazing desserts I would give this a chance next time u are shopping at University Mall stop by on your way in.. or out if u prefer you will not be disappointed. I love everything about this place. Food is always great and service is always professional.

Our server was excellent, the food was amazing and there was lots of it! It wasnt too loud, or too dark like some Applebee's have a tendency to be. The menu was a bit overwhelming with its choices, but they also had a smaller group of lunch specials that was much easier to look through. Just the standard burger and fries option was fantastic. Great experience, will be looking forward to going again
