Dos Reales Mexican Restaurant

Great experience! Perhaps one of the best places for mexican food in Urbana Champaign. We went of a busy day with a party of 8 so we can expect a little wait time. Staff was welcoming and on time.

I recently visited this amazing Mexican restaurant and I must say, they offer generous portions of delicious food at a great value! It's truly a treat for your taste buds. While the service can sometimes be a tad slow, especially during busy periods, the majority of the staff is incredibly warm and eager to assist you with any requests or help you find exactly what you're looking for. Give this place a try if you're craving some tasty Mexican cuisine without breaking the bank!

There is no way I can complain about this place. The food was incredible & if you leave hungry, it's on you. There were 3 of us & we were all impressed. Food came out quick & hot. Serving size was fantastic.

Came in for my birthday tonight and was absolutely blown away by how above and beyond the staff was! The food was done in 5 minutes, and they were very friendly and attentive. Food waa delicious. I love coming here

Try the molejete with shrimp, chicken, beef and chorizo in a wonderful sauce. Comes with salsa with avocado, cheese, rice and beans. It is one of the best we've ever had. ❤ Highly recommend it!

First thing you notice when you walk in is the authentic Mexican atmosphere. Everything from the decorations to the music to the ambiance to the people working there screams out authenticity of Mexican culture. That was wonderful to see though because that's exactly what I was looking for in a dinner spot.

We ordered tacos, burritos, and chimichanga. All were served as big sized entrees. More than enough for most people to consume for dinner and have at least some left over.

I personally would highly recommend trying out this place 👍

This place is great, food is delicious quick and friendly service you can't go wrong! I eat here every time I visit the area.

Staff is great. They work hard. Food is above average to excellent. Shredded chicken delicious. Ground beef tasteless. Jalapeños outstanding. Drinks just ok.

The food was good! I liked the steaks and shrimps more than the chicken. The portions are big enough to cover another meal. The service was a little slow and we had to wait for the check for quite a long time, but it was on a Friday night and I guess that is fine.

This brought me back to the first Chimichanga I ever had...absolutely fried to perfection, crunchy, and all fresh ingredients!!! I went shredded beef, and regret nothing. This place is a 9.7/10, and that's only to leave room for improvement just in case there are other hidden gems out there. Best Chimichanga I've ever had, bottom line...and they don't skimp on the Tequila in their margaritas 😉. Side-Note! Make sure you ask for pico de gallo in the guac if you get it, and their house hot sauce is on point!

This restaurant deserves every one of those 5 stars.

The food was phenomenal. I got the Fajita Salad and it was a heaping mountain of food. The vegetables were sautéed perfectly, the chicken was cooked well, and the rice was mixed with an incredible cheese sauce. And somehow, my huge "salad" was under $10.00! Amazing food for an AMAZING value.

The service was stellar as well. We sat down to order just as it hit 3PM, but the lunch specials end at 3. Our waiter was kind enough to still allow us to order off the lunch special menu, which we very much appreciated. We also got complementary chips and salsa (2 types) off the bat. And the waiter came by not only to refill our drinks, but also to refill the salsa! I've never been to a Mexican restaurant before where they actually refilled the salsa. Clearly, I've been missing out.

I would 100% love to come back to this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve eaten so far in Champaign. It is busy but service is very fast. Food is very delicious! Can’t complain

The chips and salsa were teslly good. They give you a smooth and a chunky salsa . Both were good . The cheese dip with chorizo was also very good .
I ordered the chorizo Pollo. Chicken and chorizo with cheese sauce on it . Very good . Chicken was cooked well .

We went with a family gathering this week. The staff arranged a very long table & a dedicated waiter to accommodate us. Excellent atmosphere, professional staff & prompt delivery of all orders, for such a large party. Many of us are years long repeat customers.

The food was amazing, we've been here several times and it always is. Service and atmosphere are great also.

Nice Mexican restaurant to find along a trip west. Had one of the best versions of mole I’ve tasted yet. Very good option if going along I-74.

Really friendly establishment with great food. They got a lot of competition around here but I think they do really well holding their own. Addicted to those Steak Nachos from them.

Dos Reales is my top choice for Mexican in CU. Most importantly the food is ALWAYS good. Service is attentive and friendly, even when incredibly busy. I have been going to Dos for almost 15yrs. They remain my favorite.

Our friend Ms. Velasquez said she really enjoyed the restaurant, she said the portions were very large, and the staff was very friendly! She also said that the restaurant was very clean. She went down for a graduation with her family for one of their nieces at University of illinois.
