Golden Wok II Restaurant

This was my first time trying Golden Wok 2 in Lombard/Glen Ellyn. The food was fresh and very good. I had General Tso’s Chicken and ordered it medium spicy and it was the best I have had at any restaurant. My wife had Shrimp Fried Rice and it was excellent. Even the Egg Rolls and Almond Cookies were delicious!! This restaurant will now be my number 1 for Chinese take out.

Golden Wok II is a favorite spot for really good local Chinese food... People are very nice, helpful & turn out consistently fresh delicious food... I usually get delivery - never an issue & always prompt & friendly... They use to have dine in & I loved to go for the lunch buffet with a variety to satisfy anyone...But since COVID it's ONLY pickup, delivery & catering... It hasn't been so easy, but their food is STILL top notch!!! Their brown egg foo young gravy is the Standard & the best I've ever tasted... Here are some of my favorites... Eggrolls, Stir Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons, Shrimp Foo Young, Beef or Chicken Broccoli or with Pea Pods... They make any dish however you want, some changes & or additions come with a small fee, but the consistent quality is hard to beat! Place is nice & clean, it's on the north side of Roosevelt Rd, just a few blocks east of 355 Xway in Glen Ellyn! They have a private lot & ample parking ...
Cash or credit... They've been in business since 1980 & I've enjoyed all their yummy food for more than 20 yrs...

so so good like seriously, we are vegan and they do such a good job accommodating, I order from Uber eats all the time and they do such a nice job!!

We had a favorite back in our old town so we had to find something close. We tried a Chinese restaurant in downtown Wheaton and shortly after they closed (the owners retired), so we needed a new one, haha
We found Golden Wok and haven’t looked back! We love the egg rolls, crab Rangoon, anything spicy, all the dishes are delicious! Not greasy like some Chinese places.
We will order again soon!

Unfortunately the dining room is not open, due to staffing issues. We all enjoyed our meals tonight. The Mongolian Beef had the perfect heat and the egg rolls were delicious. Others enjoyed the chicken broccoli and beef broccoli. Small serving is definitely enough for leftovers.

Everything was perfectly cooked and we’re looking forward to leftovers, they’ll likely taste even better tomorrow. Very reasonably priced too,

I order delivery from Golden Wok all the time! I love their Veggie Szechuan and egg rolls, but all the food I've tried is absolutely amazing. I'd highly recommend!

I moved so I was looking for a new good Chinese restaurant close by. This place is great! Very tasteful food. I ordered with grubhub and they forgot to add a part of my order but once I called, they were so quick to deliver it!

Absolutely outstanding! The gentleman working was incredibly friendly. The food ordered was fresh and hot. The highlight was the lunch special I ordered had a special request of "super spicy." They 100% delivered on that, unlike much of their competition. I will definitely be returning.

Always looking for that piece of "Mayberry". Honest, hardworking and friendly, Accuracy and speed for the last 27 years has been consistent. Plan to continue being customers for the next 27 years. Always recommending for great Chinese food.

I don't live in the area but several people locally recommended Golden Wok II Restaurant. I was in the area and stopped in for a carry out order. I get nervous trying new Chinese restaurants but this place hit the spot. 5 STARS. The Mongolian Beef and the Beef with Green Pepper and Tomato was delicious. The meat was very tender. It must be tenderloin. The pepper and tomatoes were very fresh.The homemade sweet sauce and mustard for the tasty egg rolls was the beginning of a fine dinner. The only request I have is this, the pan fried noodles are so good but if you crisp them up they would be amazing. Ty

My family has eaten here for over 20 years. And even though we’ve moved out of the area, we’ll hop on I-355 to get carry out orders. Our favorites include: hot & sour soup, egg rolls, pot stickers, as well as Singapore rice noodles. Can’t wait for their remodeled dining room to re-open.

Sooooo good, my go to Chinese food restaurant. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years. My favorites are the Golden Wok Fried Rice and their egg rolls. I’ve tried other places, but nobody else comes close! Always tasty, always accurate, and every employee is nice.

Great food and great drinks! The portions were HUGE and very good. We travel to Chicago for business and stay down the street. The drinks are fantastic! We walk down here, eat and have some drinks rather than stay in the hotel. We will visit every single time we come now. Great service too.

We frequently go here. I can count on them always having what I like. The server let the wife have dessert which didn't come with her meal. Even have is an egg roll to go.
The food is always good. Service is very good. I like the quiet atmosphere and a warm pitcher of oolong tea. Stop in, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great food, close to home. My family has eaten here for years and we always love their food. The staff is always so polite and the atmosphere is light and authentic. This is my personal favorite for Chinese food, especially the chicken noodle soup and sweet and sour chicken. Their orange and lemon chickens are also to die for.

Ordered take out. Restaurant seemed very busy for a Friday night which is good. This is the 2nd time we have ordered take out and the food is great! We had the General Tso chicken, shrimp fried rice, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls. Very good dinner. We will be back!

Wait staff is very helpful in assisting you with food selection if you need some help. Seating is enough. Food is 5 star. They seem to use premium ingredients and give ample of food for the price they charge. Parking space has never been an issue every time I have been there during the day time.

There's a reason this place has been around so long. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. The lunch buffet isn't huge, but the quality more than makes up for it. Plus under $8 makes it a bargain. Love this place.

We have been dining at this restaurant for at least 15 years (probably more!). Don't be put off by their somewhat shabby interior - the food is great, and the quality is always consistent. We love General Tso's chicken and Mui's Special - tasty, and portions are generous. Try their Mai Tais - they are great (and have plenty of rum, too!).
