Wow what a great place. The restaurant side is so cute. The bar side was great. Nice selection of beer but also of whiskey and wine. We had two different meals. One was the pot roast so good and the other a blue cheese stuffed burger with bacon jam on top. The burger was incredible with the salty sweet bacon jam playing off the tangy blue cheese, the burger was just a vehicle to serve these two ingredients in my opinion.

Went there for late breakfast on a Sunday and sat in the bar. Service was great. Highly recommend the breakfast enchiladas with scrambled eggs. My boyfriend had the burrito & loved his food too!

This place was a very nice experience for bringing friends to. The waitstaff was very kind and easy to get along with. The bar food here was great and the selection of drinks here was very good as well. I would suggest stopping by here for sure as the environment is very nice as well. Give the big pretzel a try!

Good food and service, and we really enjoyed sitting on the front porch of this 1840s house.

Really good, cozy, beautiful place! My first time there and I was not disappointed, definitely coming back.

I had the pot roast, my companions had the mac n cheese with pot roast, and the prime rib weekend special. We also started with the nachos.The roast was excellent and the crowd favorite! As at least one Yelper said, the carrots are very maple syrup tasting which was a bit strange. They tasted great but were, I thought, an odd choice to combo with the roast. Everything else was tasty, and there were enough second choices that we are sure to come back.

The service was attentive, the restaurant was clean and nice enough, and we were also impressed by the number of ciders on the menu (though they were out of a couple of them on our Sunday night visit).

All in all an excellent find.

Not very crowded for a Saturday night, which was nice! Plenty on the menu; we picked from the specials. BBQ ribs were sold out, got the pork chop instead. About 8 beers on the draft list, 20 in bottles, good selection of wines.

Middleton’s on Main is one of my favorite restaurants. The food and staff are terrific! I have not found an item on their menu which wasn’t good. Recently, they have added a NY Strip steak with red wine pepper corn sauce to their menu and it is absolutely delicious. I’m also a huge fan of their prime rib. It’s hard to find a good prime rib at the price point they are offering it.
The entire wait staff is super friendly and accommodating. If you are really looking to make your meal special ask to be seated at Jackie’s table. She goes above and beyond to make your meal enjoyable.

We had no reservations, but were warmly greeted. We were able to meet the chef Charlton, who was so proud of his delightful menu. It was delightful for sure, my husband had the most delicious rainbow trout. I chose a smaller entree of duck confit over a fabulous risotto. Shawndra, our waitress, was very attentive and informed of the menu and various cocktail specials. We cannot say enough about how great our experience was. Definitely, give it your next dinner outing.

My first time here, food was excellent. Had the California turkey ciabatta with tater tots. The tots were perfectly crispy and not greasy, the sandwich was packed with delicious turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, cheese & lettuce. Staff was friendly and attentive. My only complaint would be that a loud party was seated next to us shortly after we got our food, making it difficult to have a conversation at our table, but given the size of the dining room that really wasn't something the restaurant could have helped. Ironically, when we left, we noticed the side with the bar was much quieter. If you're looking to have a nice lunch catching up with an old friend, this place has great food and decent prices - I would just suggest asking if there are any large parties with reservations before you are seated, and perhaps request to be seated on the opposite side.

Second visit now and I will be back again. Quaint and cosy pub, with great food and service. The fish tacos are delicious and can be made gluten free. Lots of craft beers to choose from. Highly recommend. This place has become a regular lunchtime stop for me.

Excellent food. Chef specials are always amazing and the regular menu is great too. Craft beer on tap is great, large selection. Bar has a great atmosphere. Love going here. Patio in front is great to sit on in the warmer months!

Enjoy this place. When we take our granddaughter to dance lesson, right across the street, we always wait for her at Middletons by having a drink and appetizer. Good food and drinks. Bartenders are nice and attentive. Never an empty glass.

The food is excellent and the restaurant itself is even better. I grew up in the PA/DE/MD area and miss the 1700-1800s era homes, restaurants, etc. That familiar history is found here.

Now back to the crab meat. It is HARD to find meat out here that tastes even close to what is found in the Chesapeake and prepared by the docks. I had the salmon risotto, stuffed with crab, and I was not disappointed. Most of the restaurants I visit out here do not know how to prepare crab unless they are looking to serve a mere vessel for butter. Middleton’s not only understands how to prepare crab meat but knows how it needs to be tasted (without butter!). One bite and I am back on the Sassafras. Oh, the risotto quality and salmon flavor deserve to be mentioned... I just can’t get over the crab.

This place is about 40 minutes from home, I will not get anything else when I have the chance to come out. Though, all my friends tend to clean their plates.

Their burgers are the best I’ve had in years. The meat has a delicious smoked flavor, the cheddar and bacon are premium as well. My friend had fish and chips,excellent, and the other had the Reuben. Their fries are beer battered or sweet potato. We all agreed “excellent” all around.

This is a great spot to go and grab a drink on a Friday or Saturday night. I havent been here for dinner but I have ordered snacks at the bar and they are always good. The bartenders are super cool too and after only one or two visits the bartender knew us by name and made us feel very welcome.

Excellent service! Excellent food! Special limited menu for St.Patricks Day. Super corn beef and cabbage, also Shepherds pie! Only thing I missed not being able to order the beer cheese soup, good reason to go back soon!

Always have loved Middleton's on Main. The last two times we have been served by Sarah. What a delight she is. The food is always outstanding and love the small town feel. A must to check out!

Oh, I absolutely love this restaurant. It is a bit small and seems to crowd easily but the food and service were both fantastic. Parking can be a problem. I this area of Wauconda. But the restaurant is worth going to, regardless. I thought the fried fish was fantastic and my friend, who is vegetarian had several good choices of meals.

We have been twice now at Middletons and both times for lunch. Food has been great. Today my husband and I both had Tuesday specials of Tapas. My husband had Prime Rib Sliders and I had Tuna Tartar Salad on cracked wheat toast. Both were So Good.! Desert of Strawberry Trifle also delicous. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Nice place, good food.
