The place and staff are nice. Easy to work with. Unfortunate their online banking is awful!!! You can never see a current balance after depositing money. I put in 3 mobile deposits on Friday morning. I have yet to see any transaction on Monday.

Didn’t appreciate the racist treatment received. My husband and I have been customers for years with Wintrust. Never experienced the treatment received today from any teller at any branch before. The teller instead of greeting me with a cordial good morning questioned if I had an account with the bank. Yes, I do and proceeded to pull out my checkbook to make a deposit. Usually it’s not necessary to complete a deposit slip, but this morning I was asked to. After completing the slip the teller then stated she couldn’t locate my account and that the numbers didn’t seem to match up, so she asked to see my checkbook. My husband, who is “white” was very perplexed as to why the teller was behaving this way. After all of that, the teller comes back and states “this is a Hinsdale Bank account. I failed to see her point. Is Barrington above Hinsdale? If yes, why are you in the Wintrust network? I really didn’t appreciate what happened today and hope that you train your staff better going forward. For clarity, the teller was Asian Indian - same complexion as myself, so how dare she. I assume she doesn’t realize that she could herself, experience the same treatment and I wonder how she would feel then? Guess my patroning this bank will be over soon - unbelievable and absolutely unacceptable - just plain ignorant.

Wintrust mortgage misappropriated my Federal grant funds. They sold a loan that was already paid for with grants.

Local resident. Considering moving an account here, and needed change for a $20. Got $20 out of their cash station in lobby and was told No they would not make change for a $20 for me. Guess they will also not be getting my new account.
