Applebee's Grill + Bar

Southwestern Chicken Bowl was spicy, delicious (and good for me!) We also really enjoyed the Pretzels and refillable Ribs and Shrimp.
Visited on Saturday night, but were seated and served immediately on a busy night! Server was friendly and attentive.
The atrium area was quite cozy.

It was extremely busy there tonight and they were clearly short staffed but somehow, the food was delicious and came to us nice and hot. I definitely want to thank our server Brittney W. She was polite and had such a great attitude! Keep up the excellent work girl! You are a rock star. ⭐

Bartender had to serve our section and it took a while to get our food and the bill. My wife had the grilled chicken salad and I had the blackened chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes. The chicke was tender and delicious. The shrimp and mashed potatos were also excellent. The food was nice and hot.

Had a really nice server when we stopped in today. She kept the drinks refilled perfectly and was knowledgeable about the menu. The food was pretty good.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today. Greeted and sat immediately. Our server was Carrie, she was fun, friendly and very quick! We shared the street nachos, they are delicious! They have a melty cheese sauce that has a bit of a bite to it, but delicious AND shredded cheese that is melted on top, seasoned ground beef, sour cream and pico de gallo that is fresh and spicy along with fresh jalapeños. It is a huge portion, perfect for sharing! Then we each had a bowl of the Chicken tortilla soup. It is not much to look at, but it had pretty good flavor and we added shredded cheese to ours! Was a filling lunch with great service!

Amy, our bartender, was amazing. Her drinks are on point and service was great. She deserves a raise! We will be back to see her.

The service at this Applebee's is impeccable just like the other ones I've been to. Applebees has a standard and they hold it at all the restaurants.

We went pretty late at 10:15 when closing is at 11:00 and did not for once feel they were hurrying us or anything like that. People walked in at 10:45 and even they were dealt with normally. I'm impressed.

I had the Fiesta Lime Chicken and it was delocious. I recommend chicken lovers to try it first. Other than this particular dish being awesome, it was also a verification of it being the same no matter which Applebee's you go to.

For the drink, we tried the Frozen Strawberry Summer Sqeeze(alcoholic). It isn't strong and we didn't taste any alcohol at all. Felt like a very sugary strawberry smoothie. Not recommended. Had to save some chicken to get rid of the extreme sugar mouth at end.

All in all, I highly recommend Applebee's. 9/10

I already reviewed about the McHenry plaza that it's in but I'll give a review here also, the food was mostly really good, mine was amazing my boyfriends wasn't really the best but I'd say it was still worth it but the best part was my boyfriend(Jasyn Brown)finally took me on a date and it was a really good time with him!!👌🫠😍 Definitely hope to continue with date nights!!!

We came here for my friends birthday tonight. I ordered the grilled chicken that came with the garlic mashed potatoes & steamed broccoli & it was absolutely delicious! We loved our server Brittany as well, she was very friendly 😊

I came in with my daughter the other night just to order a couple desserts to go. We went to the bar to order and Brittany was the one that took care of us. Hands down Brittany is the best server I've ever had. Even though we were only ordering desserts to go, Brittany went above and beyond. Most of the time when you order food to go at restaurants, they take your order and your payment and then Don't really bother with you until it's time to hand you your food. That was not the case with Brittany. She offered us drinks, took her time to talk with my daughter, came back while we were waiting on our food to make sure we didn't need anything else, and was just a friendliest server I've ever had. We did not come in until 10:40 p.m. which was 20 minutes before close, so I know that the servers were also busy doing their side work and closing work so they can try and get out of there. But with Brittany you would never guess because she was very attentive. When we left my daughter, who is 4 asked me if we can go back and eat there this weekend because she said Brittany was very nice and she likes her a lot.

So if you willing to Applebee's, ask if Brittany is working and if she is you definitely want her to be the one to serve you.

Our server Hanna was great! She had a great personality and made us laugh a lot.

I tried the special, sirloin & crunchy shrimp. Very good, steak as ordered.
Service was top notch!

Our waitress was the best we have EVER had and that made everything including the food exceptional! It takes a lot for me to say that considering I was a waitress for 20 years so I'm pretty picky and Brianna was 10x the waitress I ever was. Plus she was genuinely happy to be at work, a quality hard to find nowadays. We'll be back .

We had a great experience dining with our large family last Friday!! The food was hot and tasty and the service was amazing!!!
We had previously had a bad experience while they were going through staffing troubles, but I’m SO glad we gave it another shot!

Ribs were cool but I didn't complain or have taken back.

Our waitress Brittny W was amazing!! She went above and beyond by giving my one child fries and apple sauce while we had to wait on his dinner a little longer. Brittny was also very polite and attentative to my table. She made our experience very extra enjoyable. My family and I have not had a waitress like this in a very long time. Therefore, I would recommend her to other family and friends when they go here and this location!

The night Manager served us as was fantastic. We never had to ask for anything. Food came out hot and drinks were cold! So much better than a year ago. Will be back!

Great experience this evening. Party of four went after a movie for coffee and dessert and the staff was so attentive. Our server was Nathan and he was amazing before we left the manager Kristen approached us to check and see if we were happy with our service and food. Everything was above par.

Food was great, prices are affordable & staff was amazing!
