Plainfield's Delight

My favorite place to eat in Plainfield. Sometimes I'll just bring a buddy or my whole family. My go-to items are the biscuits & gravy, French- onion soup or their ribs.

Fast and efficient service, friendly staff...

I have never had a bad experience here and will continue to visit even as I move on in life.

They are open, under ORIGINAL ownership and management. Service phenomenal! Despite the extended shutdown after virus world arrived, their open and back to serving the old favorites with some new twists. One of my go to meals had been the greek salad or med chopped with salmon. The salmon is now site prepped off full fish rather than prepack portions, and the taste and texture proves!

Come on in, you'll be glad you did.

The breakfast is great. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was somewhat crowded but I didn’t have to wait long to get my food. The prices are reasonable and they have a variety of food aside from breakfast.

So excited they are back and my favorites are back on the menu! French Toast Delight = amazing!

Got take out today which was amazing in the fact that the food stayed hot and it packed very nicely. I ordered the French toast platter and it was delightful. Comes with bacon, sausage and ham from the bone. You can tell with the original management and ownership back that the food has improved tremendously. Back to caring about the quality of the food and not quantity. This is the place I will be supporting in these tough times. They said they will be getting outdoor seating soon so then I can come back and get to sit and enjoy not just the food but also the wonderful employees we know and love!!

just got takeout this morning and food was hot and delicious, and good sized servings for our breakfast order. french toast, country fried steak, 2 eggs breakfast with extras - all yummy. we have dined here forever and happy they are able to offer some great takeout. looking forward to dining with them again! excellent overall!

The food is far better than with the previous owner. The menu is diverse. Soups are very good! Portions are generous. It is clean and has a friendly staff. On that note, it would be helpful to guests to tell Margie to limit her visits with guests to no more than a minute. Hungry people or people trying to visit with one another don’t appreciate long interruptions. Very sweet lady, but needs to not stay so long. Sorry.

Everything on their huge menu is always a little better than what you expect. My favorite is their taco salad. Best taco salad EVER. Their breakfasts cannot be beat, especially their pancakes - no syrup required on these babies! I try to order something new each visit, but half the time the taco salad wins. Great staff and the guy who walks around and looks busy all the time is very nice too.

Excellent breakfast!
My daughter and I came to the area to stay with family and went out this morning with my father for a nice family breakfast. Always interested in trying a new restaurant, we decided to come here.
The service was excellent, the ambiance was great and the food was very tasty. The pricing was mixed - their Children's menu was very reasonably priced (my daughter got the Mickey Mouse Pancake meal for $5.99 that came with pieces of pineapple and maraschino cherries garnishing it and a choice of sausage or bacon, with a small $0.30 upcharge for Chocolate Milk), the price of my father's and my skillets were fair ($11.99 and $12.99 respectively - a little higher price than that of IHOP and Bob Evans but was a generous portion and well prepared), but the price on drinks was the industry standard high ($4 for a cup of grapefruit juice). I know it's pretty common for any breakfast place to charge the cost of an entire container from the store for a single cup when you're dining out so I'm not deducting points for this.
All in all, a breakfast restaurant I would highly recommend if you're in the area, especially if you have children.

Good breakfast crepes, French toast and eggs. The burger is really good, it comes on a great bun and includes fries. Service was fine. Overall it was pretty good. They seem to be doing whatever they can to keep their diners safe.

Much better! Owner is very friendly and walks around to the tables. The quality of the food is so much better! Homemade food verses frozen. The potato pancakes are so good! I am looking forward to seeing the changes the new owner is making. It is nice change to Plainfield.

I recently dined in and had the 2 egg breakfast with sausage patties, skillet potatoes, and toast. It arrived at the table hot, and the portions were very large. Delicious 😋. The coffee was great along with the service!! Will def go again, even if I have to sit outside!

They have just reopened and I cannot be happier! The service was safe and impeccable while the food was amazing and reasonably priced!

Everything from fresh salmon, chicken, veggies and rice to pancakes and chicken fingers with mashed potatoes was delicious! We tried both the chicken noodle and French onion soups 🤤. They are trying to get their liquor license too! Their fresh squeezed OJ would be great with some champagne 🥂

My family and I just had breakfast here, and it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious! Even with a full parking lot, we got a table for 4 people right away. We didn't have to wait very long for our food either. I would highly recommend this place!

Update- New Ownership. Not
Much has changed. A lot of the same staff and the food is just as good. They are building a dinner menu and seem very focused on the area. Having a special for the local HS home football opener was a nice touch. I think this place will fit in well and retain many of the same clientele as the previous owners but attract a nice dinner crowd as well with a bit of a menu revamp.

Old review- This is a great local breakfast and lunch spot. exactly what youe would expect at reasonable prices. Owner is a greek guy who is almost always around and a great character.

LOVED IT! I ordered the breakfast tacos and my boyfriend ordered the poutine. Both of our meals were DELICIOUS 😋 and next time I go back, I'm getting the poutine for myself 😍 The owner this morning was pulling weeds outside to make it look nicer and walking around talking to customers! If you want to support a good family owned business with delicious food, come here. Also shout out to our server Kristina who was SLAMMED with tables when we walked in but provided such great quality service 👌 Thank you!

The service is alway great the breakfast foods are good and for the dinner meals the meatloaf is amazing with the gravy. I can't understand why everybody is complaining about the prices cause the portions are huge great place to enjoy great food. Good job!! always excited to come here.

Have not returned since the original owners sold it. So glad that they came back...food is fantastic again! Eileen is a special treat to see her back also. Best service anywhere! So glad Plainfield Delight has returned to its original glory...will be back over and over again!
