The Metalwood Grille

I came upon this restaurant when out working in the area. The entrance looked very plain, but inside it was very nice and clean, well taken care of to be sure. I liked the golf club display at the entry which taught me about Taylor Made's history in McHenry. There is a lot of space for a small wedding banquet. When I went, it was very quiet as it was not the height of summer. The food was not too expensive for a country club restaurant open to public, portion size was great, and fries were crispy. Nice view of the water way behind the building.

This place is fantastic its fancy but their food is amazing the price does vary depending what you get but all in all I highly recommend coming here as its open to the public so come on in.

This place was the perfect space for my friend wedding. It was so beautiful, spacious, the food was great, and the service was impeccable.

Had not been to the restaurant in years. They serve their food at a local summer event we attend so we thought we would go to the restaurant again. The restaurant is part of Mchenry Golf Club. It is open to the public. We went a few weeks ago and they had live music, sat at tye bar but then outside for dinner. The food was amazing! We then sat by the fire and watched the boater on the river. We went just recently with the kids. Everyone enjoyed their food : fish fry, salads, appetizers, burgers.... it was a great meal with outstanding service. The night was reasonably priced too for all we got. Will be a new favorite location and highly recommend.

Such a great thing to have as an option during this crazy time. Our waitress was attentive and friendly as well as fun. Great food and great ambiance.

This place is 10+ in my book, great service awesome food and drinks highly recommend this restaurant and golf course!!:)

This was my first time and the meal, service & atmosphere far exceeded my expectations! I went on a Friday night and there was a talented musician who truly added to the total experience. I highly recommend and know that I will frequent the Metalwood Grille!! Give it a try!

Dinner on the patio was lovely. The family loves their fries. The Metalwood Club is a great summer sandwich. Try it with avocado!

We hosted a memorial for my mom this Saturday. The place was beautiful, the staff was excellent, and the food was delicious! Beautiful location looking over the River. We will be back for a more joyous occasion!

Fabulous had a reservation the blue up igloos were lots of fun, food was ehh stick with ribs and homemade chicken fingers.

My family had a great experience here! Our server Hannah was great and very accommodating for the baby and the food is also delicious! Definitely going to eat here again

It has been years since last visit. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service was excellent and the food was very good. The drinks were also good. Was able to look out to the river during dinner.

Elegant decor, top shelf cocktails and delicious food. Beautiful channel views surrounded by fragrant flora this place is a hidden gem. There is even a golf course. Have dinner, a banquet or rent the bridal suite, this place you just have to see to believe. I definitely will be back!

Amazing dinner! Fresh hot rolls included pretzel rolls and onion rolls. The soup of the day was corn chowder, with just the right amount of spice. My dinner was top sirloin steak with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. The staff was so attentive and very kind. Dessert was creme brulee made in house. It was so good!! we will be back :-)

We were the first couple of the year for the igloos. It was an amazing unique fun experience The igloo was pleasantly warm and the food and service was exceptional we would recommend everyone to book an igloo this season

Lovely outdoor seating right on the river. A summer thunder shower sent us indoors. Beautiful bar area and indoor dinning area. Wait staff was superb and the food was delicious. Would definitely return.

We had our wedding at the Mchenry country club. The metalwood grille catered our event in the banquet room. The food was amazing and all of our guests had nothing but good things to say about it, especially the passed appetizers during cocktail hour. We were able to have the ceremony and the reception in the same area, with the pergola being outside right on the river front. The event coordinator Jenelle was wonderful to work with and made all of our decisions so easy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend having your wedding there.

Had a great time at dinner at our Igloo Experience this past Friday. Spectacular service, amazing food, and all around wonderful time! Already planning our next visit! Already recommending to friends and family!
