Owner is very nice and informative. He was inviting and we enjoyed our time in the store. Lots of great records to choose from.

A small~ish record shop that is worth visiting if you're nearby and into vinyl. My only gripe, and it's super picky, is there are no artist labels, which makes it take longer to find, or not find, what you're looking for. This certainly doesn't take away from the ambiance or charm if this small vinyl shop. The prices are roughly market prices, so no real complaint there. All and all, I definitely recommend this vinyl shop to any vinyl fan.

The guy who runs this store is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in finding the record you are looking for. I'm new to vinyl and this store in my honest opinion is fantastic. He even helped my wife find some hard to track down albums. Will continue doing business with this fine store likely for years to come.

Best record store in the area. Reasonable prices, people who run it are friendly, and good variety of records. Only thing I would change would be to add tabs to separate bigger artists in the used sections like a lot of other stores have.

Visited this location of Reef Records on Record Store Day. The owner and daughter were very accommodating handing out water and raffle tickets to customers waiting for hours outside. They were mindful of not allowing too many customers in at once, and were helpful navigating the records once inside. They also gave away some great swag when you made a purchase. Thank you Reef Records for the great experience!

Haven't been to a record store this good outside of Chicago, and even those are rare now. Not just buns from estate sales. These are curated collections by those who know the craft.

Very cool little record shop run by a very knowledgeable and friendly family. They have mostly used records but also have a good selection of new vinyl as well. They have a nice selection of rare stuff, both new and used as well as equipment for sale.

Visited this store today and bought a couple of vinyl records (one new and one used). Haven't played the new one yet but the used one plays as good as new and was only $8. The owner was manning the register and was very friendly. Will be visiting again I'm sure!

This place is amazing. Owner very friendly and helpful. I haven't shopped for albums in years and it took me back. Will definitely be going back for more.

The best record shop in McHenry! Whoever is working is always friendly and chatty when I come in, other places I've been to around here don't really make you feel welcome like the folks at reef do.

Today was my first visit. The store is well kept, neatly organized, and the owner really knows his stuff. Definitely looking forward to going back and checking out the Antioch store as well.

Had an awesome Record Store Day experience today! Friendly staff and had most of my wish-list in stock. Will be back again!
