Meat & Potato Eatery-McHenry

I had the Italian Beef Sausage Combo with provolone and peppers, sandwich was amazing, Chicago Style. I ate the sandwich before I realized that I didn't take a picture, that's how good it looked and smelled. I had a big order, food came out on a timely manner and hot for my family.

My wife had the gyros dinner and I had the chicken gyros. Both portions were quite heavy and my wife commented that her gyros was quite good. The only thing we could really nitpick about was my wife's sweet potato fries were a little overdone. The atmosphere is good, with quite a bit of seating and a few booths. Service was quick and they brought the food to our table which was nice. All in all a great restaurant with reasonable prices and something to eat for just about anyone.

Ordered catering for 15 people. Everything was ready and perfectly hot at the exact pick up time. The staff was overly helpful and super friendly helping me load the car. The gyros and chicken skewers were awesome and we had lots of food left over.

Better than fast food. Good quality, rib dinner and family of 4 for 50 bucks. Fry portion was decent. Music playing hip place. I will return to try other menu items. Vegetarian option for my little nacho! Win.

First time coming to eat here and it's excellent! My wife being pregnant brought us here and we will be coming back! We had ribs and steak which came with a baked potato, veggies and a side salad! The ribs came with fries and a side salad which we upgraded to loaded fries and DAMN its good!!! We ate so fast I couldn't get a pic of the ribs or steak lol!

Very good service, very friendly staff and food was delicious. Definitely would stop in again!
Btw I think they have the best fried pickles 10/10 recommend!

They serve very good food here. everything is fresh and tasty. The only thing that does not match the nice decor and very friendly service are plastic plates and cutlery. But it's generally worth stopping in here for a meal. I can recommend these restaurants with a clear conscience.

Always a great experience at Meat & Potato. The service is friendly and attentive, but the food is EXCELLENT! Get the kabob dinner with double salad and extra tzatziki. You won't be sorry. Can't wait til the next time.

Never had a bad experience here. Staff is always friendly food is always good never had a bad meal yet but there’s several times it’s better than getting McDonald’s and it’s about the same price last night. We had one of the mashed potato bowls with pot roast delicious I love that meal I’ve gotten euros several times my son always gets a burger. He loves her burgers in terms of the fries my favorite fries there at the curly fries my son likes the regular fries, but never had anything bad. I had to recommend it go check it out.

Food is amazing. First time there husband had the Meatloaf it was great, 2nd time he had the pot roast he said it was exceptional. I had the kabobs both times with the Greek mashed potatoes because it was so good. Employees were great, nice atmosphere and clean.

Peeps!! If you haven’t been here, you are clueless about what good burgers are!!! Honestly, this place was SUCH A GOOD SURPRISE🤯🤯
The “beef’d up burger” is a delish!! Tons of meat along with the burger mixed up with delicious mushrooms and sautéed onion that melts in your mouth. The pretzel bun also adds up so much to the experience. We ordered loaded fries and the cheese sauce they put on top was also delicious.
Chicken gyro was also great and flavorful 😭😭
Please please please don’t take into account the “boring” name, we promise the food is far from boring👌👌
Not to mention the prices are CRAZY CHEAP for the quality and tasty food you get!!

Great food, the beefed up burger was really good. The funnel fries are amazing! Lots of tables to sit at and the place was hopping when we were there but the service was still quick. Will go back again.

My first experience with the chain and it was amazing. I could literally write a whole other review on how good the food is and I just might!! The service was phenomenal and everyone is so kind and welcoming. I had a long day and mood was meh going into the restaurant. I left feeling energetic and inspired to be positive from the energy there alone!! Thank you so much to the staff and management!!! If I could give you 10 stars I would!!!

This place is so delicious and great portion size for the price. I love everything I’ve ordered, bowls, salads, meals… the staff is friendly as well.

Every single time my wife and I eat here we are impressed! The food quality is always outstanding (and hot), the customer service is always; polite, professional, and proficient. The restaurant is meticulously clean (including the restrooms).

I am a senior citizen, I have forty five years of customer service and sales experience (including in several restaurant chains). Conclusion: Meat & Potato is one of the best managed restaurants I have ever frequented. The only other restaurant that rates a “perfect” score (in this category of fast casual, quality restaurants) is located right next door, Brunch Cafe.

Ordered a gyro , some pieces of meat we very dry but overall the sandwich was big, lots of meat. Also had the super taco, which was very good. Chili was delicious, get it with cheese and onion! Fries and waffle fries were very good and plentiful. Definitely going back again!
