Ace Hardware McHenry

Awesome Ace! I just moved into the area. This is the best Ace I've ever shopped at.
I use to shop at those other hardware stores... But not anymore. McHenry Ace will be my first place to go to. They had items that I couldn't find at those other 3 stores and I refuse to by online (unless I can't find it in any stores that I can drive to) at that famous place.

Steve cracks me up. They know where everything is and happy to help you find it as well. The paint department is the best. My go to place for any missing screw, nut, or bolt. Flowers were healthy this year as well. Looking forward to your hardy mums for my Fall garden.

The best hardware store around with extensive selection....cool place with friendly people

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and there is a good selection of tools to paint. While I might miss the "cheap section," the new grilling section that was the replacement is pretty nice and has a food variety. The store is also relatively clean.

Extremely helpful and friendly people unlike the people that work and big box stores like Home Depot or Menards actually know what the heck they're talking about when you need a plumbing part or an electrical or paint go here you'll be glad you did.

They have a little but of everything here. Great selection of bbq products and accessories!

I wish I had asked the gentleman's name that helped me. I walked in and he was right there handled everything and had a very nice blonde lady help load my grill into the truck. I would go out of my way to shop there again 👏👏👏

This is probably the best ace hardware anywhere in America. It's big and they always have everything you need. Plus the employees always know exactly where items are. They have a huge selection of metric nuts and bolts and odds and ends.

Great place to shop considering McHenry is in the middle of nowhere. The employees are very nice. Its hardware plus a quick stop they make you feel like you have gone back in time like the old hardware store was the regulars sit and drink coffee

Fantastic selection of good quality items. BEST help you'll find at any store. I've had many hardware and plumbing issues resolved by their seasoned staff who are glad to help and know what they are talking about.

We bought a bunch of flowers at the annual Mother's Day sale this year, and they are the best we've had in years.

Great local store and is such a great part of the community. Everyone here is always friendly and helpful. If they do not have something in stock they are always willing to find it or get it shipped to my home. Prices are slightly higher than other big box stores, but I do not mind paying a bit more for convenience and superb service.

This place is awesome. Only place in the area that still cuts glass larger than 36 inches. I have never gone there and not found what I was looking for. Service desk and cashier couldn't have been more friendly. I'll be back

I really like this store. Such a great choice of outdoor stock on mulch, top soil etc...spring they always have nice hanging baskets to choose from. But don't wait they sell fast, especially for mothers day. The folks here are always nice and helpful.
