Big Boy

I like going there on Sunday for breakfast it's always real busy. The breakfast is good however it's the employees who keep me coming back. Shout out to Barb, Courtney, Bridget and Theresa y'all are great at your job and always give excellent service.

First time at this location. Will go back. The whole experience was very good. Got in, seated, drinks and ordered within 15 minutes. Wow! They were busy, but our order was served up quickly, warm and correct. And it WAS GREAT! Had a Big Boy combo...just like the old days. Yum!
Prices a bit higher than I expected...but soooo worth it!

One of the best Big Boys I have ever been to! They seemed kind of busy, but our food came quick. Food was made very well and with care. Friendly staff all over the restaurant. Floors where clean, once costumers left a table, a staff member was right on top of getting it cleaned before new costumers came in. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Classic Big Boy menu- omelet was awesome albeit a little smaller than I'm used to seeing at Big Boy. Toast was just a little over-toasted.. more than usual hash browns on my plate (I thought to take up space the smaller omelet failed to) We had a large party so a few dishes come out a tad less than hot, but OVERALL a good experience, great service and good food!

Food is what you would expect. Price is acceptable for what your getting. We love taking the kids. Staff is friendly.

The breakfast with Santa was such a special treat for our granddaughters. Our food was perfectly prepared and tasted great. Thank you to Alpena Big Boy, Santa, & our excellent waitress Bridget for bringing the magic of Christmas to our granddaughters.

I ordered take out as it was getting close to closing. The staff are friendly and very professional when I picked up my order.

The Fish and Chips were great, the Coleslaw particularly yummy!

Our visit was delightful and delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and she acted like she really enjoyed her job.

Had dinner here last Thursday. Ordered the fish and chips and it was..... actually, quite marvelous! The fish is battered, not breaded. It's rather like beer batter but stays together better. Just the right crunch and flavor without coming across as greasy. Honestly one of the better fish and chips I've ever had. Kudos to Big Boy and the awesome servers we had. Went back for breakfast the next day and my meat-lovers omelette was delicious. Generous meat filling. Their rye toast is a must-try. Rich with a dense texture and well buttered! Will definitely return when I'm in the area again. Also: Our waitress told us they should be reinstating their weekend breakfast bar soon!!! I'd come back just for that.

Really friendly service. Fast and hot food. It's always a tasty choice!

Salad bar was very good, soups were hot and delicious, odd thing no tomatoes on the salad bar. 5 of us dined all meals were hot and very good. Service was a big improvement from our last visit, about 4 months ago. Waitress was friendly, appearance( clothing & dress attire) neat and clean. If this keeps up will contuine to dine here. Good Job Staff.

Been going here since I moved to MI. Best coffee in a sit down restaurant in town. Staff is always accommodating and friendly. They really get to know and genuinely care about thier regulars. When I started coming in for breakfast semi-regularly I tried everything down the breakfast menu with the exception of allergies. Food always arrives quickly and I've never had to send a plate back. Would highly recommend to anyone in or around the alpena area.

The waitress was amazing! I don't remember her name but she was the best. She went out of her way to look through the allergen menu to see what was gluten free for me to eat! Wow talk about sweet, that was so nice and being from OKLAHOMA and not Michigan, being hungry as hell and having 2 hungry kids under 10 with me, and not knowing what I could even get! Scored big points with me! The food the waitress suggested was absolutely delicious and I couldn't be happier! Who knew that potato pancakes were so dang good when you stuffed them with bacon and sausage and ham, topped and stuffed with cheese too! My oldest had the classic big boy which was a hit with him and my youngest had the kid's chicken tenders which was a ton of food and he loved it. Loved the service! Cannot be happier!!

The food is always good, and the waitresses always so nice. That has been my experience eating there.

I'm so impressed by the changes and renovations to this restaurant over the last few years. I went in 2012 and it was a terrible experience. Went again in the early months of 2018 and was FLABBERGASTED at how nice it looked, how clean it was, how nice the new salad bar was, and how good the food was! The wait staff was great. It was just such an improvement. I definitely recommend.
