Eddie's Gourmet

We had an excellent first experience at Eddie's for lunch today. The gyros were great and the steak fries were golden & delicious. We would also recommend the hot and fresh lemon-rice soup! It was perfect on a cold winter day. Friendly & fast service too!

The food was absolutely delicious and not what you would expect from this cute little diner! The portions were huge! My pictures are half portions, I split with my friend. Everyone that worked there was SO friendly and the service was amazing. It was a surprise they have a full bar too! I can't wait to go back again when I'm on that side of town. Ask for my girl Laura when you stop in!

Such a delight! The Chicken Spicy Hawaiian was so good. Chicken tender and the sauce flavorful.

Had the trifecta and added steak and I had so much left over to take the next day it was awesome. Hawaiian chicken changed my life also. Staff super accommodating and friendly. Decor dated but this is the perfect hidden gem. Food came out hot and fast servers are extremely nice. I will be back!

Nice little place to eat. I would recommend the Eddie's Zip Pasta. It's HUGE and so delicious. The salad was crisp and the fries were crispy.

Very cute place. Been waiting to try it for a while as I work at the hospital down the way... Fun old diner vibe. Limited seating but plenty of bar spots, couple of booths on both sides and super friendly servers. The portions are very generous...got the pasta with broccoli, mushrooms and chicken as on pic below and it was huge and quite good. The lemon rice soup was also spot on! Wanted to try to the pistachio pie but wasn't available today, will have to be for next time!

Eddie's is one of the best!! It's a small Mom Pop shop! I have not had one bad meal here. The pasta meals are my favorite. I always order takeout and everything is packaged nicely.

Love love love the Hawaiian fries and Hawaiian chicken bites. Trifecta was amazing too. My favorite was the zip pasta. The staff were friendly, upbeat environment, and great food. Definitely going to be coming in again soon.

I am reading the reviews and I am shocked I can't find a review of their chicken gyros. So delicious!! Taziki sauce was spot on. Fries were csispy. Service was excellent - friendly and timely. If you love a good chicken gyro, Eddie's is the place.

Best spot in Oak Park that my coworker took me to. Counter-side service, good vibes, solid food. Known for their pasta believe it or not. Pop over and give it a go.

Diner setup, friendly environment. Grab a seat by counter to see all the food being made. Would highly recommend Filet Mignon and bomb-ass Hawaiian Fries, and Roma Pasta. Wear loose clothing because you literally can't stop eating all the delish food. Eddie is an awesome guy too!!

What an absolute gem. Hawaiian fries and pasta Roma were absolutely unreal. Service was great. How many places will cook your food feet away and then literally plate it in front of you? Now how many of those places have Eddie doing that same thing? Exactly. Eat at Eddies. God damn was it good.

I travel extensively for business and eat out a lot... like a lot... Eddie's is in my all time top 5 nationwide for best food and overall experience.

Family owned and operated. If you are in the greater Detroit area, this is a must try spot... the food is fresh, and absolutely fantastic.

One of my favorite places for steaks. Always perfectly cooked and the zip sauce is great. I haven't seen it on the menu but I recommend the Hawaiian fries (french fries coated in zip sauce with parmesan and red pepper flakes). My wife loves the lemon rice soup

Got the the way pasta and Hawaiian fries and can't stop eating it even after I'm full. I'm still thinking about it after a few days. I ordered takeout only so can't say much about the service, but the waited that got my order and greeted me seemed friendly. It is a bit pricey, but for the generous amount u get and how good it tasted, I'd say it's worth it! Will definitely go dine in once the pandemic settles a bit as the dining area is pretty tiny so I don't feel comfortable sitting in for now.

This place is amazing! Everything is fresh and the sauce is not heavy on the pasta. Even though this is a small dine in place I'll be sure to come back again! Adding additionally the steak frits too made the dish even more delicious. Perfectly cooked everything. I have no complaints! You'll see a lot of locals in the area as well, so it's a pretty friendly family own place. Make a stop you won't regret it!

Just came from dentist, starving and looking for best soup in the area. Eating dinner later, so I searched Google for best soup, best diner, etc. Eddie's had 4.5.
I went with their lemon rice. Simple, right?
The cons: didn't have much noticable chicken.
Aha! But the pros: $4.99 for a bowl, creamy, and packed with flavor! It was like homemade, and I wanted a refill.
I watched the cooks in their open kitchen. Clean. Counters, clean. Manager/waitress- friendly, suggested, and just great, quick service. The folks next to me were having salmon. I'm coming back with the guys for a full meal!

Hands down this is the best place to come for great pasta. The staff is always friendly and when they owner is there, he treats you like you are family. The palomino vodka pasta with chicken is by far my favorite. So much sauce & flavor! The portions are so large so you basically have food for the next couple of days. Highly recommend!
