March 2024: The pizza is better than ever. So is the beer. I do wish they had other menu items, but I totally get that it'll take time since the relaunch. The staff is friendly and I like the atmosphere, but I'm hoping more people revisit. I'm excited to revisit in the summer!

Last night we had Charise as our server. She was the bomb!! Great personality, knowledgeable on food. beer & spirits. I ordered half an order of plain chicken wings! Holy cow they were a full wing and huge! They were awesome. They had a little dry rub on them. Sauce on the side. We were on the 2nd floor. Very quaint and had a pool table. I highly recommend this place. It was my 1st time there. I'll be going back!

Love this place, A+ service all the time. Great food and great beer.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the greater Detroit area. The food is good, the service is good, the decor is really cool. I highly suggest you sit by the window if you go there in august since it is on Woodward and people usually start running their dream cruisers in the summer. You get a great vantage point from the second floor, or if you'd rather you can sit downstairs and they open the garage doors when it gets hot. Definitely a must try.

THANK YOU for a wonderful birthday party for my husband! Even more impressive - we got everything together in just about two weeks. Everything was perfect - Jesse, Aly, Lauren, & all the staff were wonderful. Jesse responded promptly & completely to my initial request using the web form & all my emails - & was super friendly! I am busy & lazy, so the online communication was perfect. We had a diverse group of about 25 guests, including children aged 6-12 - everyone had a great time. We had The WAB do the catering - pizza, salad, chicken tenders, & cauliflower bites - the food was delicious & the price was very reasonable. The WAB staff took drink orders, did all the set-up & clean-up on the food, & provided boxes for the leftovers. We were able to bring our own birthday cake. The room set-up was perfect - it was close without being crowded, we had a variety of seating, a big table for food, & it was just near enough to the restrooms. There was a TV nearby for those who needed a break from conversation. It was away from the bar so that we had our own space, & we had music without it being too loud for conversation. We even had room for a spontaneous conga line! :D I will be back! We'll definitely think about The WAB for other family or work events. For those who may have mobility issues, the space we used is upstairs - about three sets of 7-8 stairs with landings, but I did note an elevator.

God I love this place. It's easy to get into on weekends but the beer, service and food are awesome. The bar staff is awesome- look for Chris. Order a cheese bread and throw some pizza toppings on it. Seriously, this is my "Cheers." You should hang here.

No brewery has better food. The menus are bound by license plates and the entire place is a mural of Woodward Avenue history. Plenty of seating, great beer and always a good time for any size group.

My fiance and I have been trying to find a good watering hole and so far this is the best place. The food is amazing! He had the mexican flatbread pizza and I had a rueben sandwich. We also had the raspberry blonde which was very good and the vanilla porter which we didn't care for - tastes like coffee and beer combined and we don't like coffee.
It is a dark place and it was very busy but we had great service and felt very comfortable.

We just had my wife's 30th birthday at the WAB and it was the perfect choice. The WAB does not do private rooms during the summer but they were more than kind enough to reserve and excellent spot on the second floor for our group. While we anticipated having around 20 people for the party, only about 14 arrived. The space was accommodating and could have supported the 20+ invited.

The staff was fantastic! From the moment we walked into the WAB, we were greeted by the manager and our server.Our server took the time to greet everyone, explain the current drink offerings and answer everyone's questions with a knowledgeable and friendly demeanor.

The food was top notch. My wife is an eccentric when it comes to food and the offerings we right with her mindset. We had the Spanakopita and Veggie Paninis. Some in our party turned their noses up at the offerings before we arrived but this did not last long due to the food being delicious.

All in all, the WAB was the perfect choice and will be a new favorite for our nights on the town.

We hosted a private event at the WAB and were so impressed with how amazing everything was. The staff, the food and the venue were all incredible and our guests couldn't stop saying how much they loved the party. Staci and her team went above and beyond to make sure that our night was everything we thought it would be and much, much more!

I highly recommend the WAB for private events or even just for dinner and drinks. Great location, great people, great beer (and wine!) and fabulous food.

The main restaurant is upstairs and is very informal. Had really good beers. The pizza was great and the pretzel bites as well.

Fantastic food and deals on beer on Sunday! Also, there's a group that plays Magic: The Gathering, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays! Open to everyone (I may or may not be the host of the Magic events)!

Was very impressed with the WAB especially since they've recently updated their menu to be more vegetarian/vegan friendly. Fun local bar with delicious food, good beer selection, and great service.

Haley was server and... made the trip for me and my son!!! So much of an awesome atmosphere and selection! Great music and entertainment (billiards vs fresh air ambiance)

My favorite traditional pizza in Detroit. Beer is good and keeps getting better. Brewer's Club is a great idea for regulars. Keep it going WAB!

Excellent food - comparable to bar food in price but much, much higher quality. Our server Hannah was absolutely delightful.

Great beer and great ambience and great pizza!!

Original brews are to die for, their natural combination of flavors and mixology make this place a natural hot spot for walk-ins or a night out. Will come back again
