Lake Erie Metropark

Incredible park perfect for a day visit. You can fish, bike, relax and have a bbq… there is so much to do and there is always so many beautiful views of the lake. There is tons of wildlife too see, including Luc the rescued bald eagle! It is great for a family outing. There are barbecues, bathrooms and electrical outlets in the park. SO worth the money!

The park has a Nature Museum, multiple walking trails and paved bike trails. The bike trails connect to the larger downriver trail system.The park has a boat launch, golf course and small boat marina. The wave pool is closed and nature programs are offered at the museum.

Such a beautiful well-kept park. I love the nature trails most of all.

I've been walking this trail 8 years. It's so nice to see all the wildlife. The baby deers . Quiet place to walk one. Lamp around the trail is one point five miles.

A wonderful place to take a walk and enjoy nature. This park is an International Flyway for migrating birds, a great place to birdwatch. Very nice for the whole family.

I love this park! Quite and peaceful. Has a nice walking/running/bike path.

What a beautiful place! I went on a couple of the trails and had a wonderful time. Lots and lots of birds to see. The marshland museum is worth visiting as well!

This is a relatively small metropark but it offers a nice variety. We have seen a variety of birds, taken some great pictures. They offer swimming, trails, boat launch and fishing. The nature center is a great learning experience and they have events to attend.

I fish here from November to March. I’ve caught lots of fish to feed my family with and made some really great fishing buddies. I moved up north for three years and missed it every winter. So glad to be back!

Outstanding park! We found out about this park by accident. It was included in our metropark pass and we were trying to find a place to fish. We loved this park so much that we have already went three times this summer. If you go early in the summer (may) you will see so much wildlife and it's not busy at all. We have seen tons of frogs, turtles, loads of fish, geese, beautiful butterflies, huge praying mantises, etc. Great place to fish too. The bridge can get super crowded for fishing but there's some huge fish below!
If you look at the photo of the GPS map I uploaded, drive all the way down to the very end of the white road. If you park around here you'll have tons of nature to see if that is your goal.

An amazing place for nature lovers. We were blown away by the sheer beauty, flora and fauna. Also a huge shout out to Marge for being our impromptu hiking buddy, and making the day that much more awesome :)

We love Lake Erie Metropark, The golf course is beautiful and always in top shape. The park is a favorite to walk our dogs and the photo ops are awesome. Osprey, Wood Ducks and plenty of all others.nBeautiful views of Lake Erie

Lake Erie Hawkfest 2019. Live bird show, very informative and beautiful birds to admire. There were other activities going on as well from craft tables for kids to informative lectures on how to identify birds of prey. The tin can coffee truck from Trenton,MI was there and very tasty. Fun event! Kids friendly, no pets. Had hot dogs and other snacks as well. Different tents with all birds of prey assorted merchandise from books, to tshirts, to bird callers.

Nice clean park. Very open and fresh feelings. BUT I wonder why this park lacks shade and trees. If they were not there why trees were not planted. Some Oak some maple some poplar etc. It's not a good place for hot sunny day.

Lake Erie is a nice big MetroPark. There is a great view of Lake Erie. Lots of places to picnic. Unfortunately the lake front is a little sketchy. A beach would be awesome. Still a nice place to go. Great Wave water park is closed due to covid19.

I absolutely love the Metro Parks in and around detroit metro area! Each one is great in their own way! Aways of a fun day to spend the day. Definitely get the pass for the year and take advantage of these parks!

I like spent time with my husband here. It is a masterpiece view on Erie Lake. There are a lot of animals and birds. You can enjoy your time with nature. Also there are swimming pool and trails for walking.

We’ve always loved coming here. It’s just beautiful and it’s very very peaceful.
