Bear Pause Theater

Free parking, great thing to do on a rainy day. Affordable theater experience. 4 screens, at least 1 is a kids movie. Paw Patrol is worth a go with the kiddos. Popcorn with flavored salts and fountain pop. Tickets are all same price.

Bear Pause Theater is my favorite theater in the area. I love that it is a small locally owned business. It is artfully decorated with a black bear theme. I loved all the bears the first time I went and have loved them every time since. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The selection can be limited, but there is always space for you to see the movies they are showing. It is in my top 5 places for date night with my husband.

They have amazing popcorn there! Alot of different treats to buy. The seats are comfortable. And a bonus they have a VIP room that doesn't break the bank. The VIP room is a great place for birthday parties!

Clean, popcorn always fresh and the best in Minnesota, employees are always kind and respectful! We go every weekend we are in town!! Will recommend to everybody!! Thank you employees of Bear Pause!! Each and everyone is you deserve a raise and every ounce of recognition!!

Great movie theater! Only been there twice but was impressed both times! Huge theaters, comfy chairs with moveable arm rests, and huge screens. Lots of options for concession and even a small arcade with a few games. I highly recommend this theater! Perfect on a rainy day!

This is a smaller theater but they always show the hottest first run movies. Whatever the biggest movies are that week Bear Pause is sure to have them.
The staff is always friendly and the prices are great.

This place is great! It is a very nice theater. Also- it has a private rental movie room you can rent for parties with comfortable couches etc! I highly recommend planning a party now!

This is a great theater! Not too far from my house, I enjoy bringing my grandson, James with me.

Cozy modern theater in the North Woods with first-run movies. A great escape on a rainy day or any day for that matter. Reasonable concession options as well!

The funnest little cinema of the Northwoods. I have encountered guests who have called in to the Movie Line and came when the movie was supposed to run, only to find out it had already started. Otherwise no complaints. Good buttered popcorn but the prices are a little high.

Has to be our favorite movie theater. Clean, comfortable and the friendliest staff anywhere. Love this place.

Jinkins Sunset Theater - horribly configured sound system and less comfortable.
Brainerd - More of your city theater feel. Usually crowded. Otherwise great.

Bear Pause is clean, has a small arcade, and all the standard movie food. As far as movie theater food goes, I've never been disappointed compared to other theater experiences.

As an audio/video and tech specialist. The sound system is much better than anything else in the local area. Only other good option is Mann Lakes 12 Theater in Brainerd. But for anyone who is considering going to Brained, think about Hack and if you would prefer a smaller crowd or supporting a small & growing community. But if you don't come to Hack, please spread the word about Bear Pause Theater in Hackensack. It's a quality theater that needs as many patrons as it can get. If we want to continue having a grand movie experience, without having to travel far, even though we live in the central lakes area.

Prices are good. Facility was clean. Chairs are very comfortable and has good sound.

The bear pause is the nicest theater in the area looking for comfy seats they have them, tasty snacks got those too, and above all affordable pricing especially since the nearest theater for most people is an hour and any direction
