Great place to eat breakfast! My dad, fiance, and I came into town from Embarrass for the Faith In Action Booya Dinner and we always coke here for breakfast 😃 My dad had the veggie omelet, my fiance had the waffle, and I had the biscuits and gravy.

This is my first ever review. All I can say is WOW. I am from the South and as you know their food is hard to beat. I travel all over the country and I have to say this was the best food I have ever eaten. I had the Frisco and it was perfect. I asked for extra crispy fries and they cooked them to perfection. So if you are anywhere near Hackensack MN. I Would suggest eating here

Unique menu items and they were totally cool with all my substitutions. Loved the crispy sausage and diced green bell peppers and onions. You want coffee? They give you so many choices of creamers. Great service, but it did take 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Clean atmosphere and bathrooms. They also don’t chastise you for not wearing a mask.

So few good breakfast restaurants in our area, but this was SO WORTH a bit longer drive! Excellent in all categories - food, our server, and the small town cafe atmosphere.

Great waitress!!! Positively loved the ambience. The eggs Benedict was the best I may have ever had. Ham, hash browns, hollandaise, heaven!!!! Bacon side unbelievable!!! Established 1936, according to the vintage sign outside.

I had sausage, eggs, hash browns, my wife had Eggs Benedict, it was all delicious.

Had breakfast obviously:) special of the day, riser I believe it was called... 2eggs,2 bacon and two pancakes. All cooked perfectly and the pancakes were just the right size. To be honest I ate every bite and I didn't expect to. It was a lot more than I usually eat, but that's how good it was. I didn't want to stop eating and didn't want to waste it(usually take cakes to go) this time it was too good I just had to eat everything and Indeed I did. Also the waitress, very attentive and I felt her warmth. I recommend this restaurant for breakfast, and I hope you all get a chance to enjoy a great meal. Trying to get the whole family out for breakfast? This is the place. It's perfect, has an old time feel, and has the best food/service that I have been lucky enough to experience.Try it, let me know, and thank me later;)

A nice little Cafe type place that we stopped for lunch on our service route. We both ordered burgers, and it seemed to take a bit longer than most places till we were served. But once the food was delivered, we understood! The burger patties were thick and handmade from fresh burger and were grilled to perfection with a slightly crisp, outer shell, but moist and perfect inside! It's the best burger I've had in quite a while! The fries were a bit disappointing as they were way over fried, almost to the point of being pretzels. But over all, it was good and we'll be back.

Oh, they don't take credit cards, only cash or check, so be prepared. There is an atm on-site if you need it.

Great early birthday breakfast. Food was very good. The picture is half of what I got. Nice size servings.

This is merely my opinion but I have eaten breakfast in a lot of places in this Country. Viddles and Joe has to be my favorite place to have a great tasting, 100% inviting, best owners (Karen & Scott) restaurant of them all. My family eats here as often as we can. "a bit of advice" don't sleep in, you will not get a table for hours because of how busy V & J is every day. You will not meet more loving and inviting owners anywhere. Thank you for everything.

Our first time going there, the food was great. Our waitress Elizabeth was awesome she came and checked on regularly and ask how it was and kept refills up on coffee. Did not have to wait long at all to get our food and it was busy. So anybody who thinks the food is bland is crazy.

Always great food and service.

Hot Cocoa on a cold winter morning, yum. Whenever we visit the cabin, Viddles and Joe is our go to cafe for breakfast in the mornings. The staff is always pleasant and the food is great.
Edit** 3 years later this is still our favorite breakfast place in Hackensack! Great service and food. Kids are still enjoying the hot cocoa

Cafe with breakfast, lunch and great service

We stop in here for breakfast every year after hunting. The food and service are always great. This year we went later in the day and discovered their lunch menu. Hard to decide which menu was better. Only accept cash but they have a cash machine on-site.

Walked in and it reminded me of an out west diner. Staff was super nice and the place was well organized and super clean. There's a candy store inside. Kids can play checkers. Food was great!! And portions are worth the money.

Best breakfast so far in the area. Home-cooked meal and coffee are perfect every time. Angie keeps your coffee hot too!
