Great spot with some authentic food that you won’t find elsewhere in the “Northland.” If you haven’t been here before the ordering style is a bit different but the food is great and the people are friendly. Highly recommend!!! Picture associated with this review is a #9 (Pork Salad), I also order chicken dumplings but ate the too fast so no pictures ;).

Food was great, laid back atmosphere. Ordered some soup I'd never heard of---Tom Yum. I don't know who this Tom guy was that came up with the soup, but true to its name, it was indeed quite Yummy.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered chicken pad Thai & egg rolls. The pad Thai was spice level 2. Just perfect amount of heat and totally hit the spot!

I absolutely love this establishment.. food is always beautifully prepared and looks amazing when it's brought to the table..The spring rolls are delicious and I myself i always get the Vegetable Stir Fry with Shrimp... so yummy

Didn't go in(just so u know I can't tell u about inside or that kind of service) I can tell u tho that I had the best egg rolls, and chicken fried rice. It's a #2 and I literally could just eat eggs rolls for the main dish. They are fabulous 🤩 I have eaten here before but it was 2 yearishs or pandemic post. It was not that great to me then, but it was 100 percent better this time. New owners or food styles*not exactly sure what is different* besides the food. Anyways, I do recommend egg rolls (kinda pricey) 2 for $5 I think it is a lot but on the other hand I like them so much id probably pay $5 a piece. ( don't get any ideas) ;) around here there are very limited places to eat and I have not been to a Asian/Chinese/Korean/Thai restaurant in years 2 yearishs;) and that was not the best then. However I decided to try again and I'm glad I did. Let me tell you what. I think that they are the best egg rolls I have ever ate and I am going to tell anyone and everyone to try them. Seriously, I am not kidding.

Best Thai food in Minnesota! Love the drunken noodles and egg rolls. Remember, you're in northern MN, so add 1 to your normal spice level or ask for spice on the side to make the spice heat to your liking.

When I first moved to town a few years ago people would say “Hackensack has the best Thai food!” I honestly didn’t believe it and thought they were crazy! They definitely were not crazy!
The food here is EXCELLENT!!!! I love that our little town is known for the Thai restaurant! My favorites are the Pad Thai and wontons!

The owners have done a great job making in the inside more welcoming and enjoyable to sit and eat in! You can take the food to go as well.
I’m originally from the cities and can honestly say it is some of the best Thai food I’ve had!
The owners are eager to support our community and be involved in all things Hackensack! We we are lucky to have them in our little town!

Our family has been enjoying Charng Thai Restaurant in Hackensack for years! The food is terrific, the staff is friendly, the new remodel is delightful, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Ann is top-shelf kind and fun! Her family is from Thailand, and so your meal is authentic and amazing. All during the pandemic, we supported this restaurant with pick-ups and now are delighted to be able to return to in-person dining. Highly recommend this fave of ours!

Food was absolutely amazing, I never thought I would find such a jewl in a small community like Hackensack MN. Both my wife and I had a very pleasant experience with our food. Staff was very friendly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place.

Ordered online. Thier time estimate of for pickup is accurate. Good food,, if you add in the comments for spicy they will make it spicier than 3.

This is an absolutely amazing Thai place. The restaurant is clean and a welcoming environment, the staff is helpful and makes an active effort to create a great experience, and above all this place has great Thai food. I haven’t been the biggest fan of pad thai in the past, but this place has sold me on it. They also allow you to start at a low spice level and will add more spice to your liking. My boyfriend almost started crying it was so good. Highly recommend!!

Great food. One of the best Egg Rolls we have ever eaten. When you ask for spice they give it. It was a very good first experience. Even getting it to go and eating it 30 minutes later food was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. Definitely will go back.

Great takeout spot in Hackensack! Real, authentic Thai food. We had the fried rice with shrimp and pad Thai with shrimp and it was some of the best takeout I’ve ever had! Highly recommend ordering about an hour ahead of whenever you want to eat as it takes a little bit but it’s well worth the wait!

My wife and I have been eating here for years. We love the updates that Ann and Peel have done. The food is always wonderful and we love the take out options. Highly recommend if you want good thai food. Thanks so much!

My son and I went here for lunch today. We drove for 1 hrs and 15 minutes to get there. I must say it was worth the drive. Everything was wonderful. I had the green curry soup and it was fantastic. It was fresh and bright tasting. My son also enjoyed his food very much. We would definitely make the trip again!!!!

The food was good: HOWEVER - this is the most money I recall for a bowl of soup. I am not an expert in Thai cuisine. The images online were typical of everything at our table. I missed the days of Asian style sit down restaurant - real dishes. This had a table for you to write your own order; you bring It to the counter to place and pay. $$$ I did like the food but prefer a better dining experience for the money.
