Man, what an incredible place. If you love the game of golf, Measured Golf is a step above what you imagine heaven to be like. Michael is a really great guy and an even better coach. The content he puts out for the public and the work he puts into coaching his students & improving the facilities is unbelievable. The only negative thing you can say about the location is it makes it hard to leave! If you’re considering coming in, I highly encourage you to do it. However, you might want to tell your spouse you’ll be home late, because you will want to stay as long as you can and then some.

While I have golfed on and off for over 40 years…I’m basically a beginner and was looking for instruction to help me add consistency to my game. I completed my first session with Michael yesterday and it was great. He leveraged the various technologies available at the facility and was able to translate the data into instruction that was easy for a beginner to understand. I really like his focus on the fundamental body position and movement and how it impacts the golf swing….its a great way as a beginner to establish a solid base to build on as I improve my game. I’ve already recommended Measured Golf to friend.

Have been working with Mike for at least 5 years and he has been a tremendously helpful pro t work with. I am in my mid-60s but still generate 101 mph with the drive and it translates to my other clubs as well. He makes it understandable and works with your swing not one size fits all. I would recommend him and Measured Golf highly if you want to become a better golfer and enjoy the game more.

I have been to Measured Golf multiple times to work with Michael Dutro and every time I have been, I have left feeling beyond excited about my game and the potential going forward. The facility is world class and Michael has been crucial in helping me improve my golf game. His approach is built entirely around measuring the players physical abilities as well as swing characteristics and from there he develops a plan to improve. Michael is the first golf instructor that tailored my golf swing to my own natural body mechanics. I’m seeing a huge difference in my ability to consistently strike the ball with increased club and ball speed. Aram has also been a huge help in designing a workout program for me specifically based on improving my golf fitness. I live about an hour away and continue to make the trip to Ann Arbor for lessons because I find it that valuable. I highly recommend Measured Golf if you want to have a truly individualized golf experience.

I booked the shorter 50-minute lesson with Will Scruggs. For the last 20 years, I’ve been a twice-per-summer golfer. I’m getting back into the sport and have a 19 handicap. My swing used to be much better and after watching roughly 1000 YouTube videos I realized I needed help but I probably wasn’t ready for the full assessment with a swing catalyst. I hit the ball everywhere, from a push slice to a pull hook and everything in between. The facility is tucked behind a brewery (plus) and a bit hidden but it’s a gem. I highly recommend a lesson with Will. He didn’t have an appointment after mine and did not set a timer for my lesson so it ran over and I had to run out when I realized the time. It felt like two friends working through a problem together. He asked about my goals for the lesson, my history with golf, and if I had any physical impediments. He has a degree in biomechanics so it was a thoughtful assessment. In the end, he simplified my swing and gave me some drills and concepts to work on until I’d practiced enough to come back. By the end of the lesson, the last balls I hit had lower club speed than my average, felt purer, and went farther. The face/path numbers coming out were what I’d been looking for and with less effort for the results. I wish I’d gone sooner and I will go back. I could have saved a lot of time and range money grooving a complicated ineffective swing. Final note – the hip muscles on my left side are a bit sore. I think I’ve never used them in my swing even though I thought I was. It’s a good feeling.

I feel lucky to have access to Measure Golf. The space and the community of golfers there has really made this Michigan winter much easier to handle than in years prior. Not to mention the fact that Michael's instruction is top-notch and I actually feel like I'm getting better in the off season for the first time ever. It's also a very enriching environment. Michael has introduced many new concepts and tools to me that have already made a difference in my understanding of the physics and biomechanics of the game. I appreciate the individual attention he gives each of his students and the environment he creates in the space. I'm also super happy with all the club-making Adam helped me out with this year and the fitness routine I've worked on with Aram has definitely gotten results. Overall, MG is a one-stop shop for taking golf seriously as a sport and getting better in every facet of the game.

Tremendous facility with high quality instruction. I have sought swing advice from multiple coaches over 25 years of playing golf With very little lasting results. I almost quit. Instead, this is the first time I’ve ever been taught WHY some things in my swing don’t work, how to fix them, and the reasons WHY for both. I finally feel like I’m on the right track.

Mike Dutro was a great teacher. He wasn’t the normal coach who would just say things like, “you look good” when you have things to work on. He will be real with you, to make sure your lesson is well spent, and changes the way you think about the game.
More than just mechanics, my mental game with golf has improved immensely because of him.

Best junior golf program for competitive players looking to take their game to the next level. Michael Dutro is a world class instructor with a system and facility that is the best we've seen in the Midwest.

First off, the instruction is top-notch. Michael tailors each lesson to help you swing how your body is designed to swing. This is not your standard one-swing-fits-all approach. Second, the facility is like none I have seen before. It is truly designed around making you a better golfer as a whole, not just making you swing better (although there is plenty of equipment for that too). They have a short-game area complete with a bunker, putting green, multiple hitting bays, strength-and-conditioning area, and build shop...all indoors. Facilities like these are usually reserved for collegiate teams or professionals. This is THE place to improve your game.

Michael is the best in the business. Science is the only way to really understand your body structure and your golf swing. No two are alike and he has the ability to take science and mold you into a better more consistent golfer no matter your skill level. I would recommend Michael and Adam to anyone that wants to get better and put the work in that it requires.

Measured Golf offers a wide variety of tools and assets to assist players in reaching their full potential. The professional staff work with each athlete individually to maximize what that person wants out of their body and golf game. Michael, Adam and Aram are absolutely the best! I wanted to understand tendencies of my golf swing and why I had a hard time making some changes - well, it was my own body! The attention to detail is top notch. Also, if you're in the market for new clubs - Adam is the best fitter you will find! He fit me for a new driver and 3 wood - one word - BOMBS!!! Now I can't wait for my new irons!

Awesome first lesson from Mike. I was initially skeptical of the measurements driving what you should do in your swing, however it all ended up making sense. As a 2 handicap I didn't want to "reinvent" my swing like a lot of other swing coaches will do, and I was pleased when most of what we did were tweaks here and there and some stance changes. These little tweaks made a huge difference though when watching the before and after videos. I am definitely excited to go back
