Incredible library! So SO many resources for kids and young adults. Clean children's area with tons to do. Extremely engaging staff. Excellent programming for young and old.
I only wish parking was better.

Lovely library with little games and toys if you (somehow) get bored of the books. Tye manga selection is HUGE so its an instant 5 star in my book.

The main library in downtown Duluth offers such a large variety of books and DVDs to check out. I enjoy the free events that they offer like the free movie nights that they host for families of all ages along with popcorn, and the best local food truck is parked out back from time to time which is an added plus!

I love this library place bc of the beautiful doll house. It’s so pretty how all the elderly ladies created it. I have always looked at it, every time I’m there and it changes season too.

First time I went there. The adult area seems to be up stairs one floor from the main level. I needed to work on my computer a little bit. The WiFi connection was good and no password was needed to connect. I enjoyed a table with a nice view on the North end of the building. Was not crowded or noisy.

Staff super outgoing and just perfect .... Two diff people two diff days i was there both times they acualy made me feel good not knowing how to make a copy with there set up. Each one fully showed nothing but a true helping hand so the two two women that helped me thank you for being kind. Now its a double hitter cuz let me say somthing about the cement down below outside who ever poured all that should get a parade !! A true flat perfect texture and man its a fast smooth walk ida said i was floating in air had i been blind folded ... Benches are level all the round planters flat into the walk along michigan are wow . Not sure but i think there lined up in such a fashion they would qualify for an award .. i think i herd some wimpering from the depots circus sidewalk across the street . Man!!! Thats some good crete!! Keep up the good work main branch!! Update sept ... Stilll outstanding wonderfull smooth decent staff that take the time and show effort on a sincere level

I enjoy the DPL a lot. The staff there are so great and know exactly what I’m looking for when I’m looking for a particular read. My kids really enjoy the kids area with the interactive computers. Looking forward to coming back again to grab maybe a cook book, or maybe a mystery novel. Who knows lol but I know I won’t leave empty handed. Thanks to everyone who works for the Downtown Duluth Public Library. It’s full of life and hope it’s hear for generations to come.

DPL is great! Love getting my books there. They have a huge variety in all genres. Staff is wonderful. They are extremely helpful. Life is good when I have a good book to read!

I always find something good at the library. I am happy to have access again. Covid put a real damper on so many things. Welcome back to the open world and thank you librarians for all the good books, music, and movies you have.

Nice place to chill and be quiet. There is computer labs with lots of computers. Plenty of books and movies and dvds to rent with out fees. Great place to play hackey sack. I love it here. One of my favorite spots in Duluth.

It's my favorite place to go on I spend most of my summer's there. The people there are super helpful when you need them to be and they have their website on some of computers when you want to find a book and you're not sure if it was checked out. My friend and I aren't book worms we're book dragons

Very wide selection of books, and lovely sitting areas.

From Michigan, I emailed DPL regarding a 19 century painting related to Sioux Indians playing lacrosse, with the source of the painting credited to DPL. I inquired as to where I can learn more about this painting.

A librarian replied promptly, in less than 24 hours, with loads of information regarding the painting! The librarian provided multiple sources of literature on the piece, and even offered to reach out to some of the authors for more information. The librarian also scanned and emailed some pages from one publication that she found especially informative. The librarian was beyond helpful and I am so happy to have reached out.

This library is great. They have no late fees, and their holds process is simple and great. They also have a large variety of ebooks.

I love that they are letting us get books during this difficult time. My kids need new reading material! Thank you!

The library is a good place to look up things and to observe people. Love going to the movies that they provide for people. They play good recent movies.
