Incredible stay! From when we checked in to when we checked out it, the staff was five star- super clean grounds and inside too. Breakfast was delicious with a few extra oatmeal toppings we have never had- coconut, apricots, chocolate chips, etc. Firm comfortable beds and the room was bright and clean. Only a 10 to 15 minute walk to Canal Park. We can't wait to come back!

Convenient location with amazing views from most of the rooms. A quick walk over the historic bridge, and you are in the lovely waterfront district. Free, easy parking and a decent continental breakfast. You don't have to look far to see some of the best sunrises/ sunsets in the area.

Stay has been great, everything is very clean and orderly, thank you! I'm also pleasantly surprised by the options of the breakfast. Very accommodating for people with dietary restrictions. I was very very impressed by the gentleman who worked the breakfast area. He was so polite, hard working, and helpful even after the breakfast hours were over. He truly made my stay!

This hotel has an exceptional view of the lift bridge, especially at night. The rooms and all of the facilities were clean and stylish (contemporary). The suites are furnished with two TVs (bedroom and living area). The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows. Breakfast had a diverse offering and was better than most comparable hotels. The staff was, for no other word, "fantastic." The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on local events and activities. They were attentive in every detail. And, after check-out, maintenance was kind enough to rap a passenger window on my car that would not go up (in -25 degree wind chill). With a deadline to get back to Minneapolis and no Infiniti dealer in Duluth, we headed out. Thirty minutes into the drive, the window eventually went up. Thanks again to the staff at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Duluth Waterfront. The only downside for the hotel: Winter weather in Minnesota. Thank you, again!

Great experience at this hotel!
The location is great - too bad it's not on Lake Superior instead of the bay, but the views of the bay, the aerial lift bridge & the city of Duluth at night are lovely! (My room was on the top floor of this three-story hotel and on the west side of the building.)

The hotel is very clean and modern. My king room was spacious with a mini 'fridge, microwave, two large screen tvs, a long desk, and couch in a "lounge area" of the room. The bed was very comfortable with 4 pillows and a cozy down comforter. Storage included a four drawer bureau and a narrow closet. The bathroom was modern with a nice vanity & and a large glass-doored shower with provided shampoo, conditioner & body wash conveniently mounted on the shower wall in (approximately) 16 ounce size bottles. (The lighting at the vanity could be brighter, and a heat lamp and exhaust fan would be nice to have in the bathroom.)
My sink was slow to drain, so I reported it to the front desk. I reported it at noon, and by 5 pm when I returned to the room, a professional note on the bath vanity indicated that the drain issue had been attended to and included the name of the maintenance employee. (I've never had such prompt & professional service at a hotel before!)
The hotel offers a gym and pool which are both smaller but nice bonuses! The pool area was clean, offered nice towels & the water had a nice temperature to enjoy playing with the kids. There is no jacuzzi on the premises, however, which doesn't matter to me.

The first floor lobby is very welcoming with several areas to relax, enjoy complementary coffee, teas, infused water, and a shop to purchase sodas, snacks, and souvenirs.

The hotel offers breakfast daily with a very nice selection, including dine in or takeaway frittatas, cereal, bagels, juice, etc. (Great for a business traveler to grab & go.) The weekend breakfast is more dine-in oriented, and the seating can accommodate many guests comfortably. There are plenty of nice choices of breakfast foods offered, sure to please every guest.

The front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff were very pleasant and helpful. No matter my needs, the staff was friendly & accommodating.

*great experience-
highly recommend *

My wife and I had a great time at this Marriott! The room was clean and had a stunning view of the harbor, Bentlyville Holiday lights and the Aerial Lift Bridge. The manager who checked us in was pleasant and professional (sorry I forgot her name, but she had long red hair). Lastly, SCOTT from maintenance, did a great job fixing our privacy blinds. We really appreciated his quick and kind service! Looking forward to our next trip to Duluth!

Our 2nd time staying here. We love how small the hotel is without all the hustle and bustle from canal park. Would recommend.

This property is in a great location and the rooms are updated and clean. I am especially grateful for the hotel staff, all of whom made it a great stay. We had several reservations for a family getaway and Shawna helped us with that process as well as ensuring that our rooms were near each other. This was during a very busy holiday week. I also want to thank the housekeeping staff for finding and arranging for the return of an important personal item that we left behind. Many thanks!

Stayed during the week, in the middle of summer. Room was standard double queen, third floor. Room was very clean. Great location, could view the lift bridge from the room window, and also Enger tower. So happy to have an elevator in the hotel also. Parking can be confusing, but they give you a map showing where you can park, making it easier. Within walking distance to canal park businesses/restaurants.Didn't sample the breakfast, but it was included with the room. Nice very large TV in room. Would definitely stay again!

Great hotel in a good location. The hotel is close to the canal, about a half a mile, so it is a short walk but not bad. The views from hotel are also nice of the harbor. I would stay here again. They also had a great breakfast. Lots of good choices.

Great rooms. Great beds. Prolly a lot more fun when the water isn't frozen. Nice place.

I had a great experience at this hotel. Very modern hotel with a pool, fitness center, laundry, good parking, and a corner market. Breakfast was good, including a waffle maker and a variety of fruits, nuts, and cereal.
The rooms were nice and the beds were just the right firmness. Shower was good and roomy, with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Many of the rooms facing north have a great view of Duluth and the surrounding areas.
The pool was pretty standard. No slides or hot tub, but water was a good temperature.
I recommend a digital key through the Marriott app. It just feels way cooler than an actual key.

Breakfast was pretty good, staff were friendly.

My only complaint is they do not have a luggage rack in the room.

As a frequent Marriott patron, this Fairfield did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to have a harbor-side view - a treat. We always enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but were especially excited to see this breakfast had hot breakfast potatoes! Parking was relatively easy, even on a full Saturday night. We were able to easily walk to a local restaurant in Canal Park and access coffee shops nearby. Room was clean and well-stocked and staff was very friendly. This is one of the newer versions of the Fairfield (versus older construction), so the rooms are updated and modern with plenty of outlets and USB ports.

Fantastic across the board! Rooms and hallways are clean. Hotel is generally quiet, right on the bay, great view of the lift bridge, walking distance to Canal Park, and just a generally great spot. Everything I expect from a Fairfield.

Wonderful, comfortable and spacious room. Great bed, large bathroom, and two TVs. The hotel was 1/2 - 1 mile away from restaurants which was the only issue with the location.

A beautiful place to stay! It was so cool to stay on park point, the view of the lift bridge from our room was great. I have previously stayed in canal park but will stay at this place moving forward since it was more low key and in my opinion nicer rooms. The staff is fantastic - I accidentally left something behind in my room and gave them a call to discuss the situation. The person in charge of house keeping found my item shortly after and the manager at the front desk set everything up to ship my item back to me! I am really impressed and will be sure to stay again when I return to Duluth. Highly recommend.
