I was surprised how spacious it was inside. There are a few dining sections, some of which are suitable for working on your laptop and others for groups. A quiche, a bagel sandwich, a rice bowl were all great. I saw some interesting tap beer options on the menu so I would love to come back to try some next time. Their large brick wall gives an impression of being in a warehouse and I think it would be awesome to see some artwork by local artists there.

An aesthetically cute and cozy place to enjoy your breakfast and coffee. The Affogato is strong yet sweet for the amount they give you. The breakfast food is excellent and great to start out your morning with. We got the Duluth traverse and the Skyline and both were more than enough for our morning breakfast. They come with a side of salad and the salad was great. The employees are very nice and helpful. There are items in this place to purchase coffee, stickers, gifts, pictures and much more, so we'd recommend walking around and looking at the neat items they have on sale. The bathrooms are very well kept and clean. Parking is easy but limited. You can parking around the block if you cannot find parking in the street. Overall, an excellent place to relax at after a long day OR an excellent start to a long day to get energized for the day. We came here when Duluth Grill was too busy and it was 100% worth it!

Really nice place with lots of alcoves to choose from to get cozy in. Spacious with lots of local decor. The marketplace is a nice addition too where you could find gifts of different types. Good selection of teas and coffees as well as gluten free bakery. The burrito bowl was a good brunch option.

What a fun coffee shop and cafe. Beautifully decorated and plenty of seating. I stopped in for a coffee and a quick bite, but there were a lot of people studying, working, and on laptops so it seemed like a nice place to settle down for a few hours.

This places really his my vibe; great atmosphere, really cool artistic styling, good service, and I loved my burrito bowl (pictured). Can’t speak for the rest of the menu but I doubt you will be disappointed if you come here.

Not too busy on a chilly weekend day. Tons of room for a quick stop or a study session and the interior is very aesthetic/cozy. Small food menu but the plates looked generous for a coffee place. The market has some very cute local crafts/art.

Lovely, warm, beautiful place. Excellent food but both coffee options were sooo bright/acidic and hard to stomach. Will definitely be back and try an espresso drink instead. They sounded good! :). I did--and it was great. Really fantastic establishment, making the Midwest a real destination.

Adorable little shop, seems to be a hub for community, music and art. People were playing chess and enjoying some open mic style music when I stopped in last. Lots of treats available and hot drinks of all kinds, I had a Northwoods Fog which is like a Duluth version of a London Fog. Very nice. I've also had a Chai here, pictured. It is the best one I've ever had.
The staff are friendly and efficient, you can also buy local art here. Highly recommended.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place for Mother’s Day breakfast before heading home. We need vegan and meat options. Dovetail Cafe was the perfect solution. The food was fresh and delicious. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. We’ll be back!

This was my first time at this place and I only had lemonade for tonight. I read their info board about the building and it said that a lot of the deco around are all recycled. This is the way. I will eventually come again and try the food and work on being social.

I randomly found this cafe and I am so glad I went there. They have vegan/ vegetarian options. Also, they have a wonderful ambience and we crashed a folk music class in practice there.

Dovetail is one of the better places for good coffee in Duluth. One of the best places to sit and chat or read. Plenty of room, usually quiet, big open space. Food is very good too, especially the breakfast. Lots of space, not too loud, power outlets and USB ports are abundant. Good food, good place to go. Highly recommended. Parking is on the street.

Very cool coffeehouse for dine-in and working. Lots of space, very unique layout and there is a gift shop worth perusing. Even though its a bit south of the main attractions of Duluth, this is still worth a trip as this area tries to reinvigorate itself to draw more tourists and locals.

Big, open rustic space featuring a coffee bar, pastries, breakfast, lunch and dinner options as well as beer, cider and wine. Local classes for crafts and yoga. Local crafts for sale - cards, pottery, decor, etc.

Plenty of space and power sources for you to work or surf.

Super friendly staff. Really Reasonable prices.

Espresso drinks delish. DO NOT miss the Nutella babka!

Nice to have a boba fide coffee and gather place in the western part of Duluth.

Finding a quick/healthy spot for a family with two young kids to eat on Sat. or Sun. mornings can be tricky. This is our family favorite. The Nutella baklava is our kids favorite treat in all of Duluth. The lattes are beautiful perfection. Food choices for vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian which is nice for people with dietary restrictions. I have celiac and have never been sick after eating here. The local art is available for purchase at reasonable prices. We love this gem and felt so happy when it reopened after covid. The staff are top notch and pleasant/helpful. We highly recommend!

I had the LNPK vegan sandwich, so delicious! My husband has the Duluth traverse and loved it! We will for sure be back! The staff was kind. The place was large, lots of tables! We sat outside on their front patio which worked perfect with the dogs!

I will be honest, I am not much of a coffee person. Regardless, I have found myself stopping in here from time to time. As far as a coffee / cafe shop goes, I don't think I could ask for much more. I enjoy meeting here with friends to play a card game or just to chat. I like the little market that is inside that has local crafted items. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are good. It has a nice atmosphere in there, with a variety of different places to sit and enjoy your time. It is also conveniently close to other cool shops.
