If you are on Medicare be prepared to have ONLY a cognitive test for your yearly exam. Absolutely no explanation and absolutely no hands on in terms of cardiac/lung auscultation, thyroid/abdominal palpitation, etc. JUST a memory test, drawing a pictures of shapes and other nonsensical things required by medicare. If you want a Real physical you’ll have to pay for one! (I have spent hours on the phone with MC and also their resolution center!) my problem with Dr. F is she could have explained this to me and having been my doc for a few years now, one would think she would be creative and bill for a enhanced visit so that regular physical checks could be made during the visit. There use to be a yearly blood panel that was done, no more! If you are developing something like diabetes, it could be identified during the yearly physical/blood work. Now it is considered “routine” and MC does NOT cover anything routine..and if you have Anthem BC:BS they don’t cover many anything MC doesn’t cover!!! The joke is on Medicare patients!! Of course I have changed MDs! And I will discuss my expectations of a coded prolonged office visit with various symptoms in order to get a proper physical! This is something I would’ve Expected Dr. F to do. Instead you’ll hear a great deal about zen and calmness and proper diet, all of which is helpful (I weigh 115 and eat plant based diet!) but your physical needs will not be met.

I have been a RN for over 24 years and can honestly say this doctor is the worst I have met in my personal and professional life. She is rude and condescending and has no ounce of compassion or empathy. I scheduled a physical as I have Medicare Advantage but she stated I could not have one because I was on Medicare and had to have a "wellness" visit which essentially means no "hands" on. I complained of shortness of breath and she ignored me. She also told me that my next visits would be with a RN?? I am appalled by the way the medical profession treats Medicare patients as if they are second class citizens and should just die! If you are looking for a caring doctor look elsewhere!
