Always the best service, you are not just a customer to them. I now bring all my vehicles here, from basic service, to large repairs, to even custom jobs. They do a little bit of everything. They replaced my power steering system (rack and pump) on my dodge charger for about 1/3 of what the dodge dealer wanted. They also helped me pick out a cold air intake for my charger, and currently are working with me to build a custom dual exhaust system on my Tahoe. Oh yeah, and they fixed my transmission on my tahoe too!

My family and I have been going to Orange County Transmission with all of our vehicles for years. They have always been very professional, friendly, and efficient. They go out of their way to ensure their customers satisfaction by calling different places for parts needed and getting their customers the best deals, so pricing is never an issue. Orange County Transmission provides great service that we will continue to use.

I can't give 5 stars cause I didn't actually bring my car to them to fix. I did have a issue and needed a temporary inspection and advice on what could be needed to fix my car. The man who helped me was nice and gave me advice however I did end up going elsewhere. They seem like a good garage though as far as being friendly and willing anwser questions or concerns.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a mechanics shop. They were super rude and unprofessional. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted properly the man at the desk didn’t even look at me . I was there to get an inspection and the first day I went there their system was down . That day they questioned me about my tints like they were the cops . The next day the guy did my inspection and told me to take the receipt the office to pay . When I pulled out my debit card the man at the desk went crazy on me and started screaming that he doesn’t take cards and never has . This was my first time there and no one ever mentioned that to me. There was no signs saying cash only . He was racist and homophobic . And treated me poorly . He continued to yell and tell me to leave and go get the cash. Terrible customer service . The worst ever . Would no recommend this place is you are gay or black or both . Why yell at your customer because you decided not to take debit cards .

This place I personally thought they would be a good fit for my Jeep but unfortunately these mechanics as they claim to be- they put on the purge valve upside down and ripped my evap hose and cost me another $600 to fix the $500 job I paid them. They told me my air intake doesn’t fit my car I think they just didn’t know how to put it on including giving me the intake box back with missing parts so I couldn’t put it on myself causing me to have to return my intake this shop is a nightmare. Do not bring your car here I don’t know what they repair but it’s certainly not cars.

Tag line: con artist who took 1,100 from me

I brought my 96 Mustang GT in for work to be done, I happen to be mechanically inclined but I did not have the right tools or space for the job.
I brought in my mustang because the bell housing bolts on my transmission were loose and one was missing and therefore I thought my fly wheel became stripped. I got a call from John saying they drained the transmission before taking it out of the car and it had low fluid in it. He gave me two options :1.) take it out of the mustang and still do the fly wheel (in order to get to the fly wheel you have to take the transmission out) or 2.) put fluid in it and see if it works fine . I opted with choice one because I wanted to do everything right . he called me the next day to come get the car he said the bell housing bolts where loose on the top (which I was aware of ) and that they took out the transmission and inspected it and it looked fine , along with re-machining the fly wheel. Charged me 800$ for the work which I gladly paid and went on my way . Later that night I decided to pop the hood and check their work . Well the same exact bolts that I brought it in were loose and were still loose and like the exact amount I had it. (I know it’s the exact amount because that was the distance I could only fit my wrench in) also that one bolt I knew was missing was still missing. This was a clear indication they did not drop my transmission, therefor did not re machine my fly wheel like asked . Instead they charged me 800 $ to put transmission fluid in it which retails for 50$ and takes anyone 15mins. I brought the car back first thing in the morning and got three different stories from the workers who “worked “ on my car . They said they just forgot to tighten them but that doesn’t make sense because they were in the exact same condition I brought them in on . Fast forward to two days later my second gear starts to not work on the transmission, I brought it back asked I thought you guys took apart the transmission and made sure it was okay . Sticking to their fabricated story, they said they did and just missed it . John (the owner ) said he’d credit me the 800 in labor if I go and buy a new transmission to put in the car . Here’s the best part I went to my disassembled car and noticed the fly wheel was never REMACHINED just confirming they ripped me off the first time I brought the car there. Fast forward I give them a new transmission to put in the car , they put it in but my starter was on its way out (which I was aware of) so John said he’ll order me a starter and put it in since in order to reinstall the transmission the starter must be unbolted anyway. Now the deal was not to charge me for labor because of thier shady work and he charged me 350$ for the starter. Since they lost my trust I went to Napa and got a quote for the starter they put in my car . It cost the average customer 150$! Now I understand up charging a customer 200 to install but the deal was I would not be charged for labor and by the way they told me the starter costed 350$ by itself and I got the print out from Napa for the starter in my car and it says 150$. Again they danced around that since John was on “Vacation” when I went to pick up my car the very last time . So I paid the 350 just so I could get my car back .

BLUF:
They charged me 800 for work they did not do and lied to me thinking they can get away with it . I left my car with them because it was already in pieces there after all of that . I would’ve brought it to somewhere else but I gave them a chance to make it right …just to take another 200 dollars from me. If you’re not mechanically inclined and don’t understand what I am saying the point I’m making is they charged me and lied to me for work they did not do .
