Lucky Star

The food was very good! We love Lucky Star, and go here a few times a month. Occasionally the food is so-so, but overall our favorite quick meal.
They're also open later, which is convenient for us since I often don't get home from work until 7.

The woman taking the phone orders is so sweet. They were able to accommodate me with replacing the chicken for tofu. Everything was amazing.

Quality Chinese that comes out very hot and tasting fresh! The dining area is actually quite nice for this style of Chinese restaurant, and the menu is pretty varied as well. I do wish more vegetarian options existed here, however. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit especially since the staff are so nice to their customers.

Great food. Fast service. Order once and Joey will remember you and your order. Even if it takes you a year before you return. Quite remarkable. The sesame chicken is excellent. I also like their won ton soup. It is made with a beef base instead of a chicken base. Different and quite good. If you are in the Hartsville area, give it a try.

General tsos chicken and sesame chicken were absolutely delicious! Staff is very friendly also!

Amazing food/always friendly staff and fast service! Will drive to get this food and i live over 30 min away! That dish is sauteed mixed veggies with tofu added.

My families FAVORITE place to order dinner for take-out!!! We LOVE the staff! We LOVE the FOOD! They do an excellent job here. Our orders are always correct. I wish I could say I love the prices too but not so much. Definitely worth the money & hard work put into the "FRESH" food. The food & service has always been great ordering from here the past 9 years we have had their take-out.

Love this place!!! The owner is Awesome-Sauce!!! My fiancé and I went in about 15 minutes before they closed on this Saturday night and still got friendly service with smiles and courteous attitudes... food was great! Crab rangoons are #1. Their filling is rich and creamy and full of flavor. Brown sauce for dumplings is the best I've ever had. (And I've eaten at about a million Chinese places).. can't say enough good about Lucky Star. Very tasty food, good local restaurant to get food from when you're craving Asian American style food. Prices are not higher than what one would expect. Often have enough food left over for lunch the next day, so portion sizes are good!

Have always loved lucky star Hartville! So glad they are one of the few food businesses that have stuck around Hartville for years! If you like Chinese then you have to give them a try. I doubt you will be disappointed.

For the Chinese takeout category, this is the best I have ever had. I have been to many other similar restaurants and for some reason none compare. I have tried General Tso's chicken so many different places. Lucky Star's has the perfect flavor and crispiness to it. The sauce they use is very good. Another thing I like here are the egg rolls. Most I have tried are soggy and not crisp. The egg rolls here are the best I have ever had. Very crispy and fresh. I usually dip them in duck sauce. I also enjoy their fried rice, which I feel should be basically the same everywhere. Maybe its how good the rest of the food is that make me feel like even the rice is better than most I have tried. I always look forward to coming here when I'm in the mood for Chinese. I agree with the others, Joey is the man! He always makes me feel welcome, often asking about family members that also eat here. Would recommend this place to anyone!

I am from Hartville and recently moved out of town, but I make the drive back to town just to visit this specific location for the best Chinese food around! The owner Joe has served my family for years and knows who we are when we call and what we order! The food is always hot and fresh. The flavors are thee best you can find compared to many others I have tried that are closer to where we live. Worth the drive!! Hands down the best Chinese food.

"Okay bud ten Minutes" I must say I have grown quite fond of hearing the owner say this when I call in my order. The time is always the same no matter what you order and the quality is also, Excellent. I recommend trying the Beef with Chinese Vegetables if you have never had it before. Also do yourself a favor and order up some Wonton Soup. Its delicious and you won't regret doing so. Love this place!

We do love this. Only one in town but still the only place we really ever order. They never get it wrong and the food is great!

Always consistent with friendly service and great food. Joey has a great memory and always takes good care of us. General Tso is my favorite dish, but you have to get at least one of their egg rolls too with their sweet/sour sauce. Always perfect!

Everyone is super friendly and on top of your order, no one mopes around about having to help customers either, even when it's late or close to closing time. My order had always been correct and delicious! They are very hardworking and always have your food ready quickly! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
