I bought my first pair of Vasque hiking boots here in 2001 for my very first backpacking trip with the Boy Scouts. Those boots have become companions of mine, traveling with me all over the country and world. Nineteen years later, I finally needed to replace them and decided where better to go than the place I got my originals, Red Wing on Woodman. I live in Chicago now, but was back in Dayton for a brief trip to visit family. From the moment I walked in everyone was nothing but accommodating, taking whatever precautions guests needed to feel comfortable during Covid times. Michelle, the store's manager, informed me stock was low due to supply line disruption attributed to Covid, but she gave me her recommendations in the catalogues based upon what I had previously owned and allowed me time to look things over in detail and select my preference. She even helped me size my shoes correctly with other in-stock pairs as it had been since high school when I last purchased new boots. I found the pair I liked, and we put it on order to be delivered to my address in Chicago. She gave me her card to call if there should be any delay. The package arrived within a week, quicker than I anticipated, and the boots fit just perfectly. Excited for the second chapter with my new Vasque hiking boots. Boots are so much more than just shoes, they are the vessel to adventure, one's companions and lifeline on the trail. This store understands that. Thanks Michelle and Red Wing! I had a warranty issue with my boots. The sales lady in the store was very helpful and we got me into a new pair of boots and out the door very quickly.

Love this place and the staff! I was looking for boots for my dad but wasn’t sure what to get. The workers were very kind and helpful as they answered any questions I had. I highly recommend redwing!! They have a great variety of options from what I saw and offer military discount and you can get sized in store to find the best fit. My dad loved the boots and even wanted to come back himself to check everything out!

I was in and out because I knew what I went for. Both ladies working there were super friendly. They both answered and told me stuff I would not have asked. Will return when I'm in need for something.

I have always appreciated the quality of red wing I have bought them for years . The last pair I bought completely fell apart on the inside I took them back to the store and they made everything right I got a new pair No cost . Very happy!!

I've purchased boots every year for 26 years now and I've always been happy with my boots.

Shopped work boots at this store for years due to quality products at fair prices and great friendly service. An example is due to previous foot surgeries I have a hard time with blisters. They have special ordered ordered products and for me and even taken old boots and stretched them repeatedly at no charge. Great service. Plus there work socks are the best ever.

5 stars only because the particular shoe I picked out is so nice on my feet. Sales person was nice but ill informed as to where my shoe was made and when confronted as to where the shoe was actually made did not admit her misinformation that both my wife and I heard her deliver. Not a huge deal but if I knew at time of placing order the shoe was made overseas I would not have placed the order. An old pro in Minnesota talked me into keeping the order alive and glad he did. While the slip on is not amazing..it is very comfortable and looks well built. I still give 5 stars as the
Company and its members on staff are all very kind. I will do more business with the same sales person.

The manager is very friendly and attentive and will help you however she can. They will also do monthly treatment on your boots to help keep them in good condition.

Great store! I was helped with a sizing issue by the woman working there and walked out with a great fitting pair of classic mocs that I love! Highly recommended.

Great shoes! Prices are steep but worth it. Durable shoes. Plus you can take them in one a month to have them polished for free.
